Welcome to the Wicca: Blessed Be Mentoring program!

Here you may find a guide or someone to guide. Either way we hope you find what you are looking for.
If you would like to become a mentor please contact The_Blessed_Mule for information and fill in the questionnaire below. We will put your information into the list.

Name:
Age:
Time spent on Gaia weekly:
How many years have you been working in a pagan field:
What would you consider to be your speciality and why?:
Do you follow a particular path? If so, what:
Current students:

If you are looking for a mentor then please scroll through the following list to find someone who you think may click with you well. Obviously some mentors may not be taking any students at this time but such information should be made available in their information in red.

We would like to point out that when looking for a mentor the people here are simply meant to act as guides. They may not be qualified to teach but are just passing on their knowledge and experience to those who may be less experienced or knowledgeable.

If at any point you feel you want to stop mentoring or being guided just let your student/mentor know and leave it at that. No bad blood please smile .
All mentors should give a live weekly chat/meeting for all of their students so that the mentor can assess the progress of their students and also so the students can share what they’ve learnt. These live chats will be scheduled by the mentor.

If you would like more information or have any queries please contact ... and we’ll happily sort you out!
Happy mentoring!

The Mentors:

Name: doistu
Age: 18
Time spent on Gaia weekly: About 4 hours currently.
How many years have you been working in a pagan field: 7 years.
What would you consider to be your speciality and why?: Kemetic paganism and Deities, visualisations, protections and creating spells/rituals/meditations. These are my specialities because they have been at the forefront of my studies for a considerable amount of my 7 years.
Do you follow a particular path? If so, what: Kemetic paganism
Current students: 5/5 CLASS IS FULL

Name: AgentAbhorrence / Alex
Age: 20
Time spent on Gaia weekly: About 5 hours
How many years have you been working in a pagan field: 9 years
What would you consider to be your speciality and why?: Candles, because they are easy to work with. Rocks and stones, because I love collecting them and have used them a few times. Making correspondence charts and organizing info, because of my OCD =P. I can also give general tips and guidance for people starting out.
Do you follow a particular path? If so, what: Eclectic Paganism
Current students: 5/5 CLASS IS FULL

Name: Starlock
Age: 26
Time spent on Gaia weekly: currently not much; as such, mentoring would be conducted via E-mail and/or messaging systems, possibly Skype (because voice chat is awesome). My time zone is US Central; please try to be in a nearby timezone for both of our sakes!
How many years have you been working in a Pagan field: 6-ish
What would you consider to be your speciality and why?: I've done significant research tracing the history of the Four Elements, so that's probably my trademark at this time. As someone with a career in the natural sciences, I also bring this the fore, with my specific area being focused mostly in conservation, natural resource management, ecology, and botany. I also bring that analytical/scientist mindset with me to all sorts of issues, which enables me to ask some very probing questions and entertain many possible answers. If you don't want to think hard, avoid me like the plague. icon_xd.gif
Do you follow a particular path? If so, what: I do not follow any externally validated (aka, published in someone else's book with an official name) path, but I do have a path which is quite particular. In essence, I'm a Gaea-centered, tree-hugging, dirt worshipper, who, if you had to slap a cannon label on, would probably best fit under Green Witch. I don't work with classical Pagan deities; I'm a scientific naturalist, pantheist and an animist that interacts with local land spirits and nature spirits.
Current students: 0/1 May take more, but at this time I would prefer to devote my time and attention to one person.
Extra Notes: Expect me to ask you some questions so I can determine if I would be a good fit for your needs (and you should also do likewise!).

Name: Gemherbal/Josh
Time spent on Gaia weekly: 5 hours daily
How many years have you been working in a pagan field: 3 years
What would you consider to be your specialty and why?: magical and medicinal herbalism. This is my specialty because i have always been drawn to the healing power of plants.
Do you follow a particular path? If so, what: eclectic wiccan
Current students: 1/5

Anyone who would like to become a student should message the mentor they wish to be taught by.

Hopefully, more mentors will become available soon so if you don't get on my courses or you would rather have another mentor then hang on for a while and new mentors should appear smile

Happy hunting xx

I'm interested in finding a mentor to help me start out on a solo path. I'm currently studying meditation, and am most interested in learning the "basics" of Wicca in a one-on-one setting. I've sifted through a few books over the years, but still don't feel like I have a real grasp of anything. I hope to uh, "apprentice" as it were, under a few different mentors (one at a time) to learn some different perspectives and gain a wider understanding of Wicca as a whole.

I know many people are attracted to the magic part of this religion, and want to jump right into rituals and spells, but I'm really hoping to find a better understanding of the spiritual foundation. If anyone has time or wants to share their interpretations with me, I'd really love to hear from them. <3

*edit*
And I don't mean any offense to people who were attracted by the concepts of magic and spells, that's what initially attracted me, too. I feel though, that in order to effectively practice, I personally need a fuller understanding of the religion before I can delve into that. =)

⊕--------

I've already sent a Message to the wonderful AgentAbhorrence but I might as well post something here. I'm looking for some one that would mind guiding my way. I am not Wiccan, I'm an aspiring Witch, but I feel the basic fundamentals of Wicca play a big part in my rituals. I have a shrine to Mother Earth for a small example. I'd also love to learn more about Wicca but that's more of a side wish. I'm looking for some on skilled in Traditional Witchcraft and contacting the other realms. I just moved to a new home and am having trouble meditating and cleansing the place. So help on those would be loved and really any information you feel is important to give is important for me to learn. Please consider Mentoring me. Thank you.

Hi I'm an eclectic pagan(new) and I was wondering if any of those people on the list know anything about increasing psychic awareness. Cause every once in awhile I either get a "gut feeling" or I get a random thought that ends up being right and I'd like to learn more about it if possible.

Someone else would probably do a better job; I'm not much for the psychic thing. Well, I am in a fashion, but I tend to consider it from a point of view most would consider quite mundane. I find that many simply underestimate our own powers of observation and ability to notice patterns in the world. I'm good at forecasting weather, for instance, but I wouldn't call that being psychic. I'm just observant where most people are oblivious to the environment around them (so to them, I have a "sixth sense" but... meh). xd
