We have all seen people go AFK for ridiculous reasons. What's the funniest/most insightful one that you've ever seen/heard?

"My girlfriend wants me to turn the lights off and go to sleep because it's 4 am and the lights are keeping her awake, but I'm gonna ignore her..... OW!"
(I punched him. Hard. Then turned the lights off and went to sleep)
"I went afk because my cat was run over by a car"
"Wait... did we pull the boss yet?" (this said by someone who EXTREMELY high)
"Um guys, my cat just ate my mouse cord, I need to get a new one..."
"My mom wants me to mow the lawn" (His mom plays WoW, and wants him off the computer so she can play)
"what did I miss? My wife tackled me and I couldn't come back for 20 minutes" (We were sitting waiting for him to auto log so we could kick him)

I've heard "AFK, have to go fight some crime!" Then the guy went afk for like 15 minutes and came back.
But the best was when some guy said he was gonna go afk for 10 minutes or so to go kill Chuck Norris. He came back in like 30 seconds and was like "Did you guys pull yet?"

Eh, I would say that the best was when my boyfriend said, and I could hear him clearly, that he didn't care whether I wanted sleep, he was going to pull an all nighter. He knows I am a black belt. He knows that would make me mad. So I hit him and made him sleep. Lol. I stay up until 3 am, but at 3, I need sleep. 4 is a bit late for me, and sleep deprivation makes me violent.

I have also heard "Afk, gonna go bowflex." and somebody said in vent "Gonna afk for a bit, gotta have a quicky with the wife real fast." which was really funny.

Didn't happen to me directly, but one my friends pulled this back in 'vanilla' WoW.
He and his guild had wiped on Neltharion and he bubbled himself and everything ('cause he played a pally and those bastards never seem to die) and he rez'd the first clothie he saw....which was a mage...and went afk for like 15 minutes

TRANOiD I'm really happy for you and I'm gonna let you finish but I have the best AFKs of all time. lol... Weirdest AFK was having a girlfriend start tearing down her boyfriend piece by piece on vent during a kara raid back in BC (they didn't live together). Eventually went afk to continue their fight via cellphone. Can you say awkward silence for the rest of the raid?

Just because I want to say something, Leeroy is legendary in /afk's. I ususally only get ones like 'i need to let my dog out' and crap.

Way back when WoW was young and MC was the hard thing to do, someone I used to play with went afk to make a sandwhich... when they sat back down they knocked the sandwhich off onto their keyboard which caused their character to auto run into a molten giant. It was to late to stop at that point and it wiped the raid blaugh
