Since I'm getting back into the swing of things here I thought I'd share some
of the stuff I've done while I was gone. I'll go from most recent to the older ones.

This one was an environmental speedy that just wasn't working.
So I decided to just experiment with what I had. Slightly inspired by fallout.

A little exercise I cooked up in which I do a drawing based on a news article.
It turns out even if a parent preaches equality a child will still pick up how the
parent reacts to or talks about other ethnicities and skin colors. Whodathunkit!?

I'm playing and loving Batman: Arkham Asylum. I wanted to draw him but I
didn't feel like being serious. So I did one with the scene from the old movie
and Adam West in mind. Why doesn't Batman dance anymore?

User Image

My drop in the sea of Chun Li fanart. Shes irresistible to draw.

This next one was inspired by a nice long conversation I had with a lovely woman.
She did social work by day and kicked a** by night as a derby chick.

There was an experiment going where people had to draw Bill Cosby. This was
my entry. There were alot of funny ones with him speaking gibberish.

User Image

An experimental piece in which I wanted the image to move/vibrate or pop out.
It actually works for me... but my eyes are messed up.

User Image

My version of Dark Samus I did for a friend. Metroid Is my favorite franchise
for so many reasons. Andrew Jones being a great inspiration being one.

User Image

Some more random stuff from the subconscious.

Tried to get back to some of my earlier more experimental days. Fish being a favorite subject for some reason.

User Image

A portrait of a bum I see everyday.

Anyways its good to be back and I hope to be more active. Thanks for looking!

Wow ! Nice artwork !

I like the various styles you have with your pieces. Kinda wished I owned a tablet here at home.

Nice work, yo. Haven't seen your stuff in a while.

I'd just say to watch your facial proportions a bit.
division of the facial plane etc.

Skye River- Thanks!

portly ox- I don't really remember how long it took. It wasn't too fast. For brushes I didn't use anything special. Just a few rounds and flats with either opacity or flow set to pen pressure. Though I did overlay some watercolor and sketch book paper.

Giraffics- Yeah I know what you mean. I hate that I still do mush faces... and bodies in general at this point. Definitely gotta study more.

hey dude, good to see some new work from ya biggrin the amount of variety you've got here is impressive.

the glowing skeletons in the environment sketch kinda remind me of the scene from lord of the rings where frodo falls into the water and the dead people start dragging him down. i love me some fallout, played every game through so far (with the exception of all the DLC) =)

lolll at the batman one XD i remember seeing that animated gif everywhere haha, so good. he's a pretty funny character, running around kicking a** and taking himself seriously wearing this ridiculous bat costume.

nice take on chun-li, looks a little different from the norm...looks like she's got some more caucasian features the way you rendered her there, sort of like a classy 50s actress.

great expression on cosby. i also like how the minimalism, composition and colors you chose make it look kind of like a dated photo.

hehe i think i see what you're doing with that vibration effect, makes it look kinda like 3d glasses. it works for me a little bit too.

metroid's one of my favorite series too, though i can't claim to be a real fan, just starting to play corruption now ><

that fish one is awesome, really cool to see some more experimental stuff outside the norm biggrin

thanks for the update, lots of cool stuff! what else are you up to these days? work? games? girls? =)

Thanks man its good to be back. I'm still trying to find work at the moment. I do freelance stuff every so often and even had something interesting in the works with IGN.com but it seems like whenever I get something sizable it gets canceled or delayed like crazy. Eh that's my luck.

Still playing Batman and Fallout for the moment. Since I'm on PS3 I didn't get to play the DLC either but its coming out soon so I might. Uncharted 2 and Scribblenaughts are looking tempting too.

Heh I haven't had anything serious going for a little over a year now. The women in my past left me a little messed for awhile. I'm feeling better now so I really haven't been looking too hard lol.

Nice stuff. How long did the speedy take you? A couple seconds, a couple minutes, half-hour-ish?

The vibration experiment seems to be pretty successful as well.
