It had been a year since Kikiyo's parents had died, but even so the cause of there death still surprised everyone around them. It was New Years Eve, and a stray firework struck there car as they were driving home. Kikiyo was 16, and at her boyfriends house when they died. When she heard about the tragedy she was devasted, her parent's were gone and she feared that she'd have to leave her boyfriend, Lee, and his family, her second family. But after there funneral, after she had calmed down, Lee's parents reminded her that they were her godparents. Her mood was lifted almost immediatly when they told her that. She'd get to stay with the people she cared for like her own parents, and stay with her boyfriend more. A year after there death and Kikiyo thought that this happiness was too good to be true, sadly...it was.

A few month's later it was Lee's 18th birthday, November 11. His parents kept asking him, weeks before what he wanted for his birthday. He always told them "nothing", except for one day, the 10th, when they asked he smiled and looked at Kikiyo, “I already have what I’ve always wanted.” Kikiyo looked at him, shocked. He chuckled a bit and walked over to her, holding her chin up a bit, "I love you Kiki, you're all I want and all I'll ever need." He kissed her softly on the lips and smiled, "I hope you understand that" Kikiyo just looked at him and blushed, Lee's parents laughed. His mom smiled, "you know what," She started, "You'll be legal for many things tomorrow," she giggled, "including marriage" She smirked. Lee and Kiki quickly looked at each other, then away as they turned a bright shade of red. His parents laughed.
On the night of Lee's birthday this "family" of 4 had a party for Lee, but only them 4 were there, they needed no others for them to have a fun time. The whole day was a blast, which no one would forget easily, and as the day turned to night the events which would take place would be burned in everyones brains for all eternity.
After the songs had been sung and the cake had been cut, Lee and Kiki ran upstairs to the balcony, as Lee's parents cleaned up downstairs. The whole time they were running Lee had been chasing Kiki and when she got to the balcony Lee grabbed her around the waist and spun her around. She laughed playful as he put her down and hugged her, kissing her lightly on the head, she giggled. She spun around to face him, and smiled.He smiled back, looking at her with such loving eyes, making Kiki blush. He laughed, and she shoved him playfully, "Why do you always laugh when I blush?" She asked as she walked toward the balcony edge leaning forward a bit. Lee walked over to her, and grabbed her around the waist again, gentally pulling her back. "I laugh because you're just too cute Kiki. I love everything about you...." His voiced trailed off, and Kiki looked up at him, "Lee?" "hm?" He responded looking down at her. "Are you leading up to something?" Lee chuckled, "Actually I am."
He let go of her and motioned them to the bench, "You might want to sit down for this" Kiki sat down and Lee sat down next to her, she looked at him, wondering if she should be worried or eager. "I know that look, you have no need to worry, you should be more eager then not." Kiki cocked her head to the side as he spoke, Lee laughed, "Alright I better say this quickly before I confuse you, alright?" Kiki sat up straight and nodded paying close attention to Lee and what he was saying. Lee laughed a bit, but then started, "Well, you remember when my mom said that I was legal for many things, like marriage." "Ya," Kiki nodded. "Well there was a reason behind that." He looked to the side, and Kiki cocked her head to the side again even more curious then she was before. After a few seconds he looked at her again, "Well a few months ago my parents told me that, though its kind of old fashoined, they arranged a marriage for me." Kiki twitched, shocked at what her boyfriend, her love had just said, but oddly enough, Lee wasn't as badly affected as her, in fact, he was smiling. "Lee-kun why are you smiling?" She asked in a worried voice. He just smiled his biggest smile and kissed her on the lips. She looked at him with a puzzled look now, entirley confused. Lee laughed, "Kiki the arranged marriage is between me and you" "UH!" Kiki looked at him shocked, "Wh-what?" Lee took her hands into his, "Kiki our parents were best friends, they wanted the families to continue being so, so when your parents had you and mine had me they thought it was a good idea to arrange a marriage between us. Its why we've been together since we were babies, like brother and sister but not." Kiki looked at him, blankly at first but then changed and a large smile was pulled across her face, "So thats why our parents always approved of us, always let us do so much!" Lee smiled and nodded, "Yes thats why they trusted us with much more then others were allowed to do," Lee looked to the side, "around the same time that my parents told me that your parents told me I could have your hand in marriage whenever I thought was a good time, and they gave me their blessings." Lee looked back at Kiki, "They knew we'd be happy together no matter what happened between us," Lee stood up, letting go of Kiki's hands, "Thats why Kiki..." Before Lee could finish the two of them heard Lee's mom scream bloody murder. They ran down the stairs as fast as they could only to find Lee's father lifeless on the floor and his mother being dropping beside him by an odd looking man covered in blood, their blood. Lee looked at him, rage in his eyes and yelled, "You b*****d what the hell have you done to my parents" The man laughed, "Well if it isn't obvious..." Kiki clinged to Lee's arm and whispered, "He's a vampire...." The man laughed again, "Lets give the young lady a prize," He licked his lips, "and I can personally give her one." "YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER!" Lee yelled, enraged by his comment. The Vampire chuckled, "Ah, well tough guy are we? Heh, well lets see how tough you are." With that he charged at Lee. Surprised, Lee pushed Kiki away as he attacked mr. Vampire there.
