Various things have made me think about accents, which I prefer and which I hate.
I think top on my list is a weak southern belle accent, not to strong, and a strong upper-class english accent. But only on women.
Bottom is generic american, especially so male. I don't think there are any more that really grate against me.

Like: Soft west country/midlands/northern, soft Irish, deep south states (i.e. Tennessee)
Dislike: HEAVY versions of these -> Scouse, Brummy, Geordie, Scots or Welsh.

DLM I don't mind accents so long as I can understand them. *shrugs* That's why I dislike very heavy accents. It's embarrassing when I have to think about each sentence someone has said for 2 minutes, and when I have to ask someone to repeat something for the 20th time. xp

I absolutely adore London accents on males. So bloody sexy. And utter Queen's English on females. Could make me melt. <3
I hate strong brummy accents and strong american accents. : s People with accents which cause me not to understand them, well.. I don't particularly mind them. (: I don't understand the majority of what people say, anyway. (:||.

A few American ones do it for me, as it were. xd But not southern American ones. gonk domokun Other than that, not really. I mean every now and again I come across an accent I think's nice, but normally it'll be a hybrid accent. lol ninja domokun

I definitely don't have a problem with Lancashire accents, given that my family are all up there. I quite like them, I find them comforting. whee
As people have mentioned posh accents on girls... I dislike 'proper' accents. I might be considered to have a posh accent by some but living in the area I do, I am around a lot of the horses and hockeysticks brigade and I don't like them. (No offense to people who like horses and hockey, just stereotypical upper middle class types) I was in a restaurant with my family and the people on the table next to us were talking about thier horses and toasting to Princess Anne. gonk
