 Dawn! A fine time to be wandering the roguelands without supervision; at least not as far as Ainran was concerned. The adventurous little pup, small grin getting wider as he watched the splendor of the sun rise in the distance. With that he bounded over to his only brother and rammed into the other pup's side.
"Kumo!" he whispered excitedly, nudging the other to wake. "C'mon, c'mon! It's morning, there's stuff to do. Things to see, others to meet.. and without mom watching over either. Aren't you curious?"
The pup waited, plopped on his rump and watching his brother lying there, hopeful that he would stir into consciousness sooner rather than later. Every few moments he would glance at his mother, whom he took after as far as looks went, wondering if she was half awake and listening in on their conversation.

It would seem Ylva had taken her two boys out on a camping trip away from their crystal lined burrow. This was Kumo's first real camping trip and so far it had been so good. Who could argue when you got fresh air and adventure and sleep and meat.
The lighter hyena had been in the middle of a dream when he felt something pull him back to his body. The hyena yelped a small yelp, both in dream and reality, as he woke up.
"Wh-wha-wha?" The fact that he was now awake had yet to dawn on the small pup. He looked about completely confused and lost. It took him a second to realize his brother had nudged him, "Morning?" The hyena looked at his brother and then at the far away glow. Oh crap, it was morning.
Ylva snorted a bit in her sleep and mumbled something the boy did not understand. Kumo looked from her to Ainran. Yeah, he wanted to explore, but he was terrified of how their mother would react when she awoke to two missing pups.
"I'm curious," The pup stretched and got to his feet padding over to Ainran, "But.... " He was interrupted by a rather loud snort from their mother.

Ran's attention was currently split between his brother's hesitance and his mother's snorting. With each sound Ylva made the pup couldn't help but feel a sort of shiver down his spine. He disliked getting an earful from either of his parents almost as much as he liked exploring.. unfortunately for his family though, the former never came to mind when he was 'on the spot'. The gray pup scooted closer to his brother so he could lower the volume of his voice even more - you know, just in case.
"Don't worry about mom," he whispered with a reassuring smirk. "She won't even know we're gone, trust me!" With the Ainran nudged his lighter sibling one more time before padding over toward a gathering of bushes nearby. It was far enough to upset his mother, no doubt, but that didn't really bother him. In Ran's mind, if his mother could still see his markings clearly then it wasn't too far at all.
The pup suppress the urge to holler his brother on over. When too long of a moment passed he started on ahead of Kumo. He was determined to get some exploring done, with or without him!

Kumo's ears lowered some, looking between mother and Ran. The choice was obvious. Kumo trotted, quietly, after his brother. Mom seemed to be enjoying her sleep and now that kumo was up, he wasnt about to go to sleep again.
Ran wasn't to far ahead so the run wasn't a long one. No panting , just smiles.
"So, where do you want to go Ran? " Kumo tilted his head at his brother. Sure, kumo had explored the hell out of their den, but out in the open plains, the pup was clueless. He just knew food came from the plains.
The pups tummy grumbled. Thinking of where food came from had upset the monster in his tummy it seemed.

"I dunno," the pup admitted with a shrug. To be honest he didn't really know what they could do once they reached the brush, he just knew that he wanted to be there as opposed to with his mom. "Maybe we can find our own food. There's a lot of little animals and stuff we can handle." Ran trotted ahead, nose up in the air to see if there was water over there as well. He didn't catch a scent. "No water though, but that's alright." The pup fell back to his brother's side once again, still smirking. "Whatever, we'll figure it out!"
On that note he turned around to check and see if their mother was still sound asleep. Thankfully the volume of his voice hadn't carried over to her ears, else she would have disappeared and magically reappeared in front of them, barring them from their potential adventure.
"Y'know," he started talking again to get out of his own head. "Maybe we can even go further, what do you think?"

Kumo listened to his brother go on about hunting food. The more he listened the more he liked the idea. Yeah, they could be two lone rangers out and about not listening to any one but them selves. With each passing step, Kumo got braver and braver.
"Further?" He looked at his brother, "Lets go all the way to the ocean!" He'd heard stories of the ocean before but never seen one. Apparently there were no oceans close by, only maybe a river. But Kumo wanted to see.
"Come on brother lets go !" The pup dipped down in to a play bow, jumping from side to side. Excited much? Yeah.
