The little brown cat padded through the sandy lands, she wa svery lost. She had never been on sand before and it was becoming a little scary. A small voice spoke from the servals head "Where be we lassy? Yer need to re find tha greens!" The serval gives a sigh "Stop saying that papa I know!" She humphs, turning her gaze from one way to the other, all she could see was white sand and more white sand. She was definately lost.
The dark body of the adult lioness slipped across the prides lands quietly, her odd eyes, one red, one blue, fell upon the unusual creature. Curiosity pulled her towards the little brown cat. "Hey, what are you?" Jyotika makes a beeline for the serval, her soft markings shimmering in the overly bright sun.
Nekobasu stops mid step, her soft brown eyes falling on the very large beautifully marked lioness. Her wiskers twitch and she blinks owlishly her legs becoming ridgid, she wondered if she could run and get away? Doubting her speed after a day in the sands she stands stil and twitches her tail. "I'm a serval ma'am" She mutters hoping that being sensible would keep her from loosing her head to a lion.
"A serval?" jyotika snorts, she had never seen a serval before, she wondered what exactly a serval did, though only for a moment, she soon shook her head and lowered herself closer to the ground "And what is a serval doing in these lands? Don't you know you have entered in to the world of the firekin?" She snorts her odd eyes fixed on the little cat. There would be no sport in killing something so small so she would learn some intel from out side instead.
Nekobasu gave a little nod "Nekobasu maa'm." The serval wispered swallowing hard "Uhm I am lost, I stumbled in to these lands during a storm." She rolls her shoulders and hunkers down int he same possition as the larger cat.
"Mebe you can get us out ov ere big lioness?" A tiny male voice echoed from the top of the servals head.
Jyotikas ears flickered and she was almost surprised by the second voice until she took a short breath and caught the scent of the mouse. A cat with a mouse? Weird "do all servals walk around with mice?" She raises a brow "Perhaps i could show you from these lands, you are clearly too small to be useful."
Nekobasu sighs "Uhm, I couldn't tell you, I'v never really met another serval." She states simply her deep chocolate eyes resting on the lioness. She hoped this lion wasn't too hungry, she didn;t want her mouse friends to be eaten.
"Yar lass we aint of no use in these lands, yer as well guidin us to the exit." The small voice calls again "if yer dun mind that is"
Jyotika purses her lips and gets to her paws, lashing her black and white tail she nods "okay but you need to tell me some things." Pursing her lips she turns in another direction and starts to walk "and you have to keep up I'm not waiting for you." She snaps.
Nekobasu quickly gets to her paws and follows the lioness, her long tail perking up. Thank gods, it seemed they would get out of this sand land after all. Breathing a sigh of releif she follows after the large lioness "Yes ma'am what ever you wish to know I will tell you."
Jyotika smiles "Good, just as well, I want to know where servals come from? You are obviously not of the desert and you say you got lost but why?" She keeps her gaze forwards her supple limbs leading the way over the dunes in a direction she knew instinctually as a firekin.
"Well most servals are born in the jungles or the forests ma'am, I was born there my self. I went on an adventure and got caught in a storm it wound me up here, lost in these lands." She frowns lookign ahead, hoping that this lioness was leading the right way, every part of this desert looked like the last.
Jyotika raised a brow but did not look back "Jungles and forests? And what are these things? I know of nothing but this desert, I was born and raised here." She purses her lips and nods ahead "you're nearly out" she states looking ahead, grasses had started to pop up on the near horizon.
"The jungle is all green and wet, not at all like here. It's very beautiful in a different way to this sandy place." She answeres looking ahead with a leap of her heart, joy filled her mind. She would have savannah back under her paws before she knew it.
Jyotika shook her head "Sounds strange, I like wet though." She snorts padding up to the long grasses and sitting, she points ahead with a paw "Keep going straight, this is the edge of the savannah and I wish to go back to the dens. Off with you now."
Nekobasu looks up at the lioness and sighs happily "Thankyou ma'am I think you've saved our lives. If you're ever in the jungle come and see us, we owe you a great favour." She smiles and races off towards the green flowing savannah her tail in the air.
Jyotika snorts and turns away towards the dens, like she would ever leave home for some green wet place, even if it did sound like an interesting place, she was a firekin and this was her home.
