Moonlight bathed the empty streets of Ikebukuro in a thin milky softness. The night was young, and yet already the town had fallen quiet. On her own in the center of the Plaza, a small Bobtail girl stood on the edge of the fountain. Her head was bowed and she held a hand to her chest gently. Her ears were tilted back slightly and her foot tapped to the beat of some unheard music. Tonight, on this lonely, quiet fountain, the young girl was enjoying a hobby that she didn't often indulge. Quietly at first, she lifted her head and smiled, "Fushigi na deai kurikaesu uchi, taisetsu na mono ga suete.... Guuzen to iu itazura na hibi ima de ha waratte aiseru."The girl's voice rose and she began walking along the edge of the fountain as her song continued, "Sou~ ... Itsumo hiroi sute-ji ni akogareteta. Mou watashi hitori janai; minna no egao ga afureteru, koko ga ibasho nano kara!" Swinging into the full-blown chorus, Demi's smile broadened and she spun in place before bouncing off the fountain and into dance. "Let's sing a song!" She sung, swinging her arms out in another twirl, "Konya ha supotolaito yori ima watashi no kagayakaseru. Day by day! Atsui manazashi to seien ga nagareru ase wo terashiteru."Panting lightly from her private routine, the bobtail wiped her brow and toned down the dancing a bit to finish, her voice ringing out loud and clear now. "Let's sing a song! Konya ha eien ni kawaranai atsui omoi aru to shinjitai." She raised her shoulders, clasping hands before her chest and bowing her head with a big smile, "More and more~ Motto motto motto, sakebitai kono utau kono yume ha owaranai..."(Nyaa, sorry for the massive overload of Japanese lyrics XD. Here is the song if you wanna know what she was singing. These are the lyrics she chose: Wondrous chance meetings / As long as they keep happening / We have evermore precious things / All those days full of chance mischief / Now I can laugh and love them That's right, I always yearned for the wide stage / Now I'm no longer alone / Everyone is full of smiles / Because this is where I am Let's sings a song / Tonight, rather than the spotlight, it's me that will shine now / Day by day / Those passionate looks and cheers shine upon my streaming sweat Let's sing a song / Tonight I want to believe there are never ending burning thoughts / More and more / More and more and more I want to scream this song, this dream will never end. )

Mir had her and gently on Morph's shoulder, leading him across the plaza to the fountain where Demi was singing. Mir smiled, watching her pupil dance about, glad that she was feeling so much better since her decollaring. Morph sighed a little, still thinking of Ara. She was recovering from her attack, resting in the tree with Anbu and Yuuki, which was precisely the reason he was out here. He’d been fairly depressed ever since she’d been brought back covered in blood, and Ara had asked Mir to take him out so that he could stop worrying so much. Approaching the fountain, Mir took her arm off from Morph shoulder, clapping cheerfully as Demi bowed. “Very nice, Demi-san.” Morph attempted a small smile; she was a good singer, after all.

Demi blinked her eyes open wide, jumping at the sudden clapping that erupted. "M-Mir-sensei!" She mewed loudly, her gaze darting to the lightly-striped male behind her, "And... Morph!" The girl's cheeks blushed a little when she realized they had heard her song, but she grinned despite her mild embarrassment and rubbed the back of her head. "I didn't realize you guys were here.. heheh. Sorry if I disturbed you at all!" Giggling lightly, the girl tipped her head to the side and peered at them both curiously, "A-anyway... Why are you out here?" She tugged at her fluffy skirt absently, letting her ears fall back imploringly.

Mir grinned at the bobtail. “Well I do live around here.” She laughed. “But tonight I’m getting Morph out of the house for a while. He needs to be distracted for a bit.” The Singapura looked over at Morph, speaking bluntly of the cat who was basically her little brother. She smiled at him, laughing kindly before shifting the subject off of him. “You sing very well, Demi-san. Are you going to try out for the University?”
Morph smiled slightly back at Mir, moving over to sit down on the edge of the fountain. He shrugged off his guitar, having taken it out of habit and lay back on the cement rim, staring up at the stars. Morph was grateful that Mir was trying to cheer him up, but his heart was still back at the willow tree, waiting for Ara to recover again.
“Boy’s been like that for a while now.” Mir said, looking over at Morph again. “Let’s see what we can do, eh?” Mir winked and grinned at Demi. Smiling, she rounded on Morph and began to sing. "You cant live your life in the baby seat/You've got to stand on your own/Don't admit defeat!~" Mir smirked down at Morph, kicking his foot lightly with hers. Laughing, she continued. "40 days at sea/Then she turned and said to me/if we make it back/Ill renounce jack kerouac/And all that romantic crap/Like I'm an artist don't look back.~" Mir moved out a little, dancing a little and throwing teasing looks at Morph. "Now were living somewhere else/We keep opinions to ourselves/But still we seek a sneaky peek at heaven/When the working week defeats us/If you think growing up is tough/Then you've just not grown enough, baby~" Mir moved over and grabbed Morph's hands, yanking him up from the edge of the fountain. "You cant live your life in the baby seat/You've got to stand on your own/Don't admit defeat!~"

Demi blinked at Morph, unsure what exactly was going on, but she offered him a grin anyway. "I... really hadn't given it much thought, actually, Mir-sensei." She blinked to herself; this was the first time the idea had been planted in her head. Her ears perked forward when the Singapura winked at her and her voice lilted out in song suddenly. The words were strange to her, and the bobtail recognized them as being english. With an amused grin, she bounced in time with her mentor's voice and jumped up onto the fountain, shining bronze eyes watching Morph. Dancing over the distraught male a few times, the little bobtail gladly assisted Mirelle in getting him to his paws again. With both paws against his shoulders, she gently pushed him from behind as Mir pulled him forward.
"You sing nicely too, Mir-sensei!" Demi giggled, hopping off the fountain after the striped male, "Oh! I've got an idea!" Bounding around Morph, the small girl clapped her hands in front of herself and smiled widely, flicking her ears forward. "Let's sing karaoke! I remember seeing a small cafe around here somewhere!"
(I think it's okay to assume that there's a feline-run karaoke cafe... right? In the manga they had feline manga signings and even a side story about the cats getting part time jobs at at manga store.)

Mir giggled. “Thank you Demi-san. I try.” She said, grinning and blushing a little. In actuality, Mir sang fairly often, but it was rarely in front of another person. Far from shy, Mir just liked singing on her own. “Oh, that sounds like a great diversion, Demi-san!” Pulling on Morph’s hands, Mir stuck her tongue out at him. “Come on you, let’s go.” She turned, hand firmly around one of Morph's wrists and looked at Demi. "Lead on Demi-san."
Morph smiled and shook his head, allowing himself to be dragged up from the edge of the fountain. Karaoke…sure, why not. “Alright, alright, I’ll go. You can let go of me, Mir.” Shouldering his guitar, he looked to Demi, curious where exactly the night would lead.

Demi nodded enthusiastically at Morph's consent and twirled in place. "Alright! Yea, lets go!" Pumping a fist into the air, the bobtail turned in place and bounded off, "Come on! This way!" The karaoke cafe she had seen was at the edge of the plaza territory, Demi knew vaguely where it was. As she trotted along, the young girl thought of what she would sing; she also thought that they needed more people to really make this fun. She kept her eyes open for any cats who might be wandering about unsuspectingly. New or familiar, she would surely pounce everyone she happened upon and extend an invitation!

Tempo had been watching from afar, listening carefully to their words, the lyrics, the beat...he was very interested in music, so it was just natural for him to try and catch the beat and follow it mentally, fingers tapping to his knee or heel bouncing to the song.
But it stopped--and someone else picked up, who had an equally beautiful voice. Made him happy to know that other cats were interested in music like himself.
The forest cat's ears perked forward as he cocked his head, hearing something about karaoke. Hm. He didn't know any of these cats, but he figured he might as well try and see if he could join them...not like he didn't need more companions anyway.
Slowly, the large feline made his way down from the area just beyond the fountain, and stepped lightly towards the group. "Excuse me," he chimed, the chain around his waist jingling with every step, "I heard your singing--and was curious about this cafe you'd heard about," he was pretty blunt when it came to this sort of thing. His voice was low, a little growly but it was natural. His expression was soft, slightly amused, but the smile on his lips should be convincing enough that he wasn't out to hurt anyone or chase them out of this territory. Anyway, it wasn't even his territory to chase people out of.

Mir smiled at the new cat. “You and me both. I’m not the one leading the way.” She grinned, hooking a thumb at her pupil. “Her idea, but you could join us, if that’s your intention.” Mir glanced up and down the tom, taking him in. He seemed to be decent enough, and Mir wasn’t too worried, being in her own territory. She winked at the tom, sticking out a gloved hand. “The name’s Mirelle.”
Morph watched the new arrival quietly, letting Mir talk. He still felt a bit mellow even though he had consented to the evenings planned festivities and was content to merely watch for the time being.

Tempo couldn't help but grin wider at Mir, stepping up to her in a friendly manner and taking hold of her hand to give a soft shake. "Tempo. SeungHyun if you'd prefer to call me that," nice cats, that was good. But he looked to the other two curiously, waiting for them to decide if he was 'safe' enough to be around and let him tag along.
"I'd love to come--especially if it's a karaoke bar. I might not look it, but I can sing pretty well," the forest cat hummed, releasing her hand to tuck his own into his pockets, ears perking forward curiously.

Mir smiled, returning Tempo’s shake without too much pressure. “Tempo. I like it.” She grinned, looking to Demi again. “I figure decent singing ability’s not really something you can just guess about a person. I’ve never found any outward signs, anyways.”
Morph met Tempo’s mismatched eyes, shrugging his guitar a little. “Morpheus. ‘S good to meet you.” He nodded at the tom, not quite out of his funk. The evening had not really began, so he was still fairly undistracted [not a word >>;] from his worries.
She chuckled, smirking, glad that Morph was not too deep into his melancholy. “You new around here, Tempo? Don’t think I’ve ever seen you before.” Mir was enjoying herself, looking forward to taunting Morph some more for his own good.

Demi wheeled around at the sound of a new voice and stood, smiling excitedly at the new tom. There had been more of an audience than she realized, it seemed. Trotting back over to stand with Mirelle and Morph, the bobtail looked up at the male and tipped her head. "Tempo, huh? Well, with that name we'd have to be fools not to accept you!" She chirped happily, "I'm Demi! Welcome to the group!" She flicked an ear and bowed to the tom. She turned from them and continued marching forward. Her full, black skirt swished about her thighs as she moved walked, and she swung her arms a bit. Inside her head, music was still going, and she was eager to let it out. "Come on, lets go you guys!" She mewed loudly, glancing over her shoulder.

Pale broken wings, you're just a little tired
Phenex walked into the area that he heard the music coming from. He peeked his head in and looked at all the cats in there singing with a machine and having fun. He smiled and walked over, keeping to the side so as not to distract anyone who was singing. He looked at the cats gathered around the one with the large weapon and the different eyes and sat. He watched them as he sat at a table and folded his legs under him as he watched, letting them be happy while he didn't know them. He didn't want to bother them just yet. He would be keeping an eye on them till they talked to him, he was much too polite to interrupt them all.

Grinning at the warm welcome, he nodded in agreement to Mir's comment. That was true, it was difficult to judge from the outside who was good at singing and who wasn't. But at the same time, people could assume by judging a book by its cover no matter what situation it was. Nodding to Morph, Tempo smirked automatically, wondering absently why he looked so down.
Looking to Demi, he gave a slight bow, which was habit at this point, before straightening up and messing with the chain around his waist. Stepping after the other three felines automatically, Tempo slid his hands into his pockets, ears forward and alert.
"So," he began, not liking the silence, "What sort of music do you all like?" He wasn't sure how far away the bar was, so he'd strike up conversation until they got there.

Mir grinned after the Bobtail. “Alright, Demi-san, we’re coming.” She chuckled, smiling at the young cat’s enthusiasm. Mir turned as they walked, moving backwards so she could address Tempo’s question. “I’m not really sure I have a favorite. I like rock and roll and louder music styles, along with just acoustic stuff.” She grinned. “A lot of the stuff I sing is in English, though there are a few German songs I can sing, too.”
Morph smiled slightly, looking over at Mir. She took him in as a kit and they were both very familiar with each other’s habits. It was nice to see her again after moving away with Ara. Smiling to himself, Morph decided that he would visit Mir more often along with his family. “Yeah, but does singing in the shower count, Mir?”
Mir smirked at him, punching him in the shoulder, inwardly glad that he was finally cheering up. “Damn right it does.” Turning back towards Tempo, she asked “And what sort of music do you like, Tempo?”
