i have now turned on my heater in the tank ^.^ now its all set up, everything, not just the filter. i now have a filter, light, airstone, and heater all plugged in and working in my tank. i really feel so proud of myself. and my gouramis are happy to have their airstone back too, they keep on playing in the bubbles

lol, its fine XD though i keep being an idiot and sticking my fingers in the tank to feel how warm the water is. right now i have it between 75 and 79, is that a good temp for my rams, betta, pleco, corries, and gouramis?
also last week my tank started growing brown coloring on some of the gravel and fake plants right under the light, should i be worried?

Does the brown stuff come off easily? It could be just a simple algae or muck from the filter.
I think as long as you're on the higher end of that temp range it's fine. My tanks average around 80-84.

Probably just algae. I wouldn't worry about it. How are your fish and your params?
