I gotta say that my favorite is Jet Li's Fist of Lengend. Great fight scenes.

One of my all-time favourites is Tai Chi Master. Another all-time favourite is Iron Monkey.
And, of course, who could go past Once Upon A Time in China? whee

I myself haven't seen many movies like that but there are a couple on my list that i would like to see. Drunken Master, Iron Monkey, (still haven't seen it) Kill Bill 1 & 2, and soon to come out, Hero.

Jet Li is the freakin' man. I saw a preview for Hero and my jaw was on the floor. I've read the fight with him and Donnie Yun is gonna blow the doors of every.

You know, I heard that Jet Li did an interview once and the reporter asked him something like "do you think that you are a very good martial artist?" and he said something like "well, I definitely try hard at everything I do, but if I had to fight other martial artists out there i would probably get my butt whooped" and then he started to name martial artists that he thought were stronger than him; talk about being humble! We could all learn a lesson from Jet Li!

Too true. Wushu is more of a performing art than a fighting one. It's nice to know that he's not stuck on himself like some of the other Hollywood martial artists.

Jackie Chan is busy with Chris Tucker on the set of Rush Hour 3: Australian Rush. (lol, and I would STILL see it if they made it, lol). I think Jackie Chan is probably still doing movies in Hong Kong, the last one he made was The Medallion or The Tuxedo, I can't remember which one. Who knows? Maybe he's taking a break?

jackie chan doesn't really do much hong kong cinema anymore. he's done some directing and made some cameos, but he's been busy with his charity, being a newly deputized Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. and as mentioned, being on the set of Rush Hour 3.
I agree with marty. Fist of Legend. best. martial. arts. fight. scenes. ever.
did I mention I saw Hero on the big screen at the Otakon? biggrin envy me!
p.s.- marty: it's Donnie Yen, not Yun. xp unfortunately, he doesn't get much movie time in the states. it's a pity because he's phenominal on the screen. just his presence alone.. too bad I hear he's more than a bit too cocky..

I had horrible cranial flatulence when I posted. (ie. brain fart) I would've gone to that con only to see Hero. I can't freakin' wait!!! I first saw Yen in Hgihlander: Endgame. He and Adrian Paul were tearing up the screen, and I was trying real hard not to jump out of my seat and embarrass myself. HEY, JET LI FANS!!! This month's issue of Mens Health magazine has a nice interview with Jet Li! Great reading!
