Kingdom Hope
User Image

Deep with in Jeanette Tabbard's ever growing imagination, far across the mythical oceans, and past Remmen Mountains and found in the inmost part of the monstrous Undergrove Woods of Kingdom Hope lays Castle Hope it self.

Castle Hope towers far above the tallest trees of Undergrove. In fact Castle Hope is much taller than it is wide, much taller. The castle, constructed from the best and strongest of stones in all of Kingdom Hope. At the entrance, not of stone, sits two large lions at guard, Steed and Stag. The lions there only let the purest of heart enter.

A cobblestone path surrounds Castle Hope and out stretches in four directions. To the north is Remmen mountains, the east the mythical oceans, to the west leads to Neral forest, The land to the south is dark as it is evil, Dek'matall Desert. This is where the Darkest lord reigns.

There is only one who dares to fight against the dark powers of the Dark Lord. Princess Nette, and at her side her most faithful and loyal friend, Sir Raymond. Princess Nette and Sir Raymond journey Far and wide in search of anyone who will aid them in their battle against the Dark Lord.

Kingdom's only Hope lies with Princess Nette and her many companions she will meet along the way. She can not prevail herself, she needs your help.

Current adventure.

The Dark lord and his minions have cursed the heart of Neral forest. The trees are dieing. Princess Nette and her companions must journey to the heart of Neral Forest and destroy the Ghost Crysal before the forest dies along with the queen of the fairies.

Princess Nette stood in the west tower overlooking the lands. She smiled being able to see for miles her kingdom, and her people safe. The westward tower was the only place in the kingdom tall enough to see past the Undergrove tree's and out over the mythical oceans. She had many enjoyable adventures with Raymond there.

eeerk.....creeeeeeeek

The door slowly opened behind her and she turned to face her visitor.

"Sir Raymond!" She exclaimed. "You have returned, How is the Queen?" She ran to embrace her most loyal subject and bestest of friends. She had missed her friend and in his absence things around castle hope just wasn't the same.

A wave of worry filled her heart when she realized that despite the name of the castle, her friend did not return with good spirits. She knew something was wrong.

The rabbit towered over his princess. He returned her embrace but he was not feeling as he usualy did. He had grave news to tell the princess.
"Princess Nette, I fear the Queen is sick and in grave danger. Neral Forest is dieing as we speak, She calls for our aid. The Dark Lord has found a new magic."

The Princess gasped horrified. "The Dark Lord?! Does he ever rest?" Dek'matall was quite far, how did he manage to get to the Neral Forest with out being found. "No one deserves to be pained from his evil! Sir Raymond we must help! But a new magic? How will we fight against it?"

"Don't Fret my dear. I have made a call out to the kingdom, There are others who wish to help. You are the Hope of this kingdom, We will prevail. we always do."

Raymond was right. Just as they always put there all into keeping their people and lands safe, they had always prevailed over the evil's of the Dark Lord. Why would this time be any different.

"Come" Sir Raymond spoke. They descended the steps to the Eastward tower and made their way to the grand hall. Who they would meet there would be in Fates hands.

The young minstrel stepped into the hall and looked around nervously. There were many people here. How many of then had come to answer the call, and how many had come to see who answered. She tucked her hair up into her cap, but it fell out again instantly. The blonde tresses didn't even reach her shoulders anyway. It would be near to impossible for anyone to tell if this young bard was male or female anyway. The clothes she wore were simple and functional. In her simple brown tunic she felt very meek and poor compared to the nobles observing the scene.

She paused to adjust the lute she had strung across her back, making sure it was safe. It was her pride and joy and she would never let anything happen to it. it seemed rather large for a minstrel of her size, but she handled it with grace and skill. Her large blue eyes scanned the room uncomfortably. She much preferred to be outside than in these stuffy royal sorts of places. But she had a good reason to be here.

Princess Nette needed her help. And she would do anything she could. Perhaps she wasn't the best fighter in the world, or very powerful, but she was a very loyal follower and dedicated to her cause. Besides, every adventure needed a minstrel to remember everything that happened and sing great songs about their triumph. So she waited patiently, almost lost in the crowd who were keen to hear what the Princess and her loyal knight needed and who would step forth to assist.

She pushed through carefully to try and get a good view of the place the princess would be. She might not like these busy places full of these elegant people, but she did enjoy getting to see the princess herself. And who wouldn't? She was beloved by all the kingdom for her kind ways and her wise rule. She hoped that she wasn't in too much difficulty. It was worrying that her knight had called for help. What was wrong?

The room filled with friendly shouts and excitement when the princess entered. Usually such a warm gesture of the Kingdom would put a smile on the Princess's face, but today was different. She patiently awaited for Sir Raymond to quiet down those who had gathered in the Grand Hall. Once the room was quiet enough to speak she held up her golden scepter that was graced with a beautiful emerald. The Princess had many scepters, this particular one, everyone knew, was given to the Princess by the Queen of the Fairies When she was born, and was a great help on many missions. The Scepter had enough power to do what ever the princess wanted of it, however, it could only be used one time each mission. The power could not be used in vain, the princess had to think carefully when it should be used. This Journey, the power would be used to destroy the Ghost Crystal.

The Princess was surprised to see how many had gathered wanting to help. This small but large gesture lifted the princess, it gave her the strength she needed to talk. With her head held high she began “Citizens of Kingdom Hope. My dear dear followers, Neral Forest is in the need of our Aid. The Queen is in danger, on the account of the Dark Lord's mischief.” Through her rule, she had learned to use smart words. Smart words is what the princess used in-order to tell her people what was happening with out them loosing their hope. Though the Queen was in danger, she would be sure not to tell the full details too those, but those whom would accompany her on their journey. The Kingdom thrived of Hope, and If there was no hope, there would be no Kingdom.

A gasp filled the air. Patrons started talking amongst them selves, some were to horrified to say anything and there were those who demanded answers and questions flew at the princess.

The Princess would try to answer everyones question that she could, however the time was ticking and the Queen was dying. “The road will be dangerous, but Sir Raymond and I will go and Aid the queen until she is safe from the Dark Lord. It is important for all of us to help, Everyone can not come along I could use a few of you. But many of you will stay behind and protect our kingdom should we need it. I want all the children to stay inside Castle Hope until I return. And should anything go wary before I do return, Stay inside the Castle walls, The lions will only let us enter, as long as you have kept a pure heart.” She took a deep breath before continuing. “Is there any who is willing to join Sir Raymond and I to Neral Forest?”
