This is my series of glyphs used in my alphabet:
User Image

I was originally going to make it a syllabary language, like Japanese, but then I remembered how retarded and unrecognizable foreign words can sound when reformatted to "fit" the Japanese language. So, learning from this, I decided to base my alphabet phonetically off of the English language (with modifications, of course.)

The glyph for "C" is pronounced the same as it is in Esperanto ("ts", as in "Bits.")

"Sch" is pronounced like in German, "sh." (I may get rid of this glyph for "sch"eer redundancy)

"Th" when spelled with the separate character is pronounced like the 'th' in "this". (To get the 'th' sound in "thing", just spell it with the seperate "t" and "h" glyphs)

"x" is pronounced "ksh".

Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome idea going with the Phonetic way of writing, I made a script like that too and use it to write any language (mostly school notes lol)

Though a few letters a complete wastes to make, like X, this can just be KS, but thats just what I did, its awesome you made so many cool glyphs! They remind me of Atlantean and a code my grandpa used to use on me lol.

Same with Q, a KW works just as good and saves you the extra letter, but all in all this script is really awesome! very unique too, the culture I could see using this would be like a very high tech tribal people, like they are based on tribal culture yet have advanced technology, know what I am saying?

So, if to rate this I would definitely give 5/5 10/10 ^_^, do you have any samples of it being written?

Thanks for the criticism, I've been pondering whether to take out Q and Sch because of their redundancy or not. (the fact that I don't really like the glyph I came up for them doesn't really help...) razz
I think I will remove them afterall. 3nodding

I'm glad to hear that it does give off that vibe, that's what I was shooting for when I was developing it. pirate

And now, to pull off the same vibe with the spoken aspects of the language... ninja

Thanks for the words of encouragement! heart
I'm thinking maybe some of the "stalwart"ness of German, combined with the flowing sound of Italian? Although it's gonna be heavily influenced by Latin, Greek, and possibly Esperanto.

Oh it's beautiful!

Looks like something that aliens would use to write their language. Samples?

Miss me? XD

Well, I'm still working out the kinks in the spoken aspects of the language (Possibly now called "Kulaiyesho") but here's two basic sentences (Phonetically spelled in the parenthesis) :

Ra aho tiasii.
(Rah A-howh tee-ah-see)

"I have tea."

Ra ayao cure.
("Rah a-yao tsoo-reh.")

"I love to run."

Note: Stress is placed on the italicized syllables.

Of course, nothing is set in stone yet, but this should give you a feel for how it sounds at the moment. (Feedback would be lovely. heart )

I love your alphabet. It really looks awesome (Kind of reminds me of the Mayans for some reason...) I can't wait to see what sentences look like transliterated either.

It's definitely the verticle lines and dots that make it look Mayan.

I'll admit, maybe I did get a little inspiration for the alphabet from Mayan. (^^")
I know the numeric system I'm working on is derived from the Mayan numeric system, The primary difference at this point is it has a few elements of Roman numerics as well.
