Spirit sat there in a middle of wooded clearing, he kept himself busy by purring, he liked vibrations, it was the closest to hearing he could get. He was getting better at his words, mau had been teaching him and his lip reading as well. She had gone off to catch food, something he shamefully couldn't do for himself yet. He swayed his tail back and forth and half closed his eyes in the afternoon
sunlight.

Kaikara herself could hear the purring from yards away. And it didn't stop, either. After venturing further and further away from home, she'd found herself lost...and now she was looking for anywhere that might be safe and secure. Not that the woods was the best area to go, but she couldn't complain currently. Following the sound of purring, her head held high and ears perked, the mixed breed slowed to a steady walk...as if to sneak up on the unsuspecting cat in front of her. "Hey!" She called absently, really not wanting to startle someone who might be stronger than her.

Spirit contined to purr, the rumble working its way up into his throat, he swung his tail back and forth, he had not heard the cat that was coming up behind him. He lifted his back foot, stopping his purr for but a moment to scratch behind his ear and giving his head a shake.

Confused, she moved to circle around him, figuring it better to not run into him from behind either. "...hello?" She was just a few paces off to his side, and watching him scratch...she was flustered. Was he really ignoring her? How rude! Huffing and puffing her chest out, she stepped up to him and reached a paw up to poke at his ear--a rather bold action for the young feline to pull. "Dont ignore me!"

Spirit found himself jumping into the air, his eyes wide and his heart pounding as he came face to face with another female cat, she had scared the living daylights out of him, what on earth was she thinking! He sat back taking deep breaths and holding out a paw in front of himself, he could not understand a thing she had mouthed to him other then was and her, was she what? " No no no... " He
said it coming out more muffled, he wanted to make it clear to her that she could not sneek up on him. He stood and backed up from the female cat, calming himself, she didn't seem to want to fight, at least he hoped she didn't, he wasn't sure about this whole cat fighting thing.
