Sup guys. My comp died recently, and i've had it for like 5 years. There's no point in just getting a repair, because everything needs to be repaired. The graphics card was too powerful for the motherboard/power supply, and it fried the power supply. Which in turn killed the sound card and motherboard. My monitor is like broken, because my friend spilled his soda on it, so there's a splotch in the top corner that won't come out. Any ideas of where I can get a comp that is good, with like an nVidia GTX 260? I need it for like, 1100 or less, could you guys help me out here?

ps: next time don't stick things in your computer without reading the requirements. I have a "high end" card in a 6 year old computer and I didn't fry anything. ):

I didn't. I didn't want to risk that, so I sent it to the guy who built it. As far as I can see...he hoped to grab a quick buck, by making me go back to him to fix the power supply. He switched the cards, but didn't switch the power supply. It was only a matter of time. And I've tried ibuypower, it wasn't cheap enough.

XDarkSoulJakeX And I've tried ibuypower, it wasn't cheap enough. I made a computer for under $1000. Go AMD if you are on a budget, Intel is better but I haven't noticed a difference yet + my computer is a dinosaur.

I was thinking that, but the i7 supposedly is so superior, that I'm not sure if I should. I heard the phenom is pretty good though.

If you're on a budget of $1,100, you have to make some sacrifices. My computer cost that much 6 years ago. Also keep in mind your video card adds almost $140 to the price (not much I know), and you need a monitor, which adds another $100ish to the price.
I made an intel i7 with a price of $1250, but my AMD was like.. $970.

Actually no, I don't need a monitor. I can use my monitor from before. I just made on on cyberpower for like 897$, and it has the new Phenom II X4 and the ATI 790GX chipset, along with the Radeon 4890 card. This is for under 900$, I think I'm gonna buy this one.

yeah you can always get a p good deal if you don't buy a monitor. I bought a 30 inch monitor on black friday last year for like $200, lol. So no more buying monitors for me.

Order the parts on newegg.com then build your own. It's much cheaper.

it might be cheaper, but it's definitely not easier, and it definitely consumes more time. especially if you get bum parts.

Yea...that's garbage. They are like monkeys, they cannot solve complicated orders. Besides, the AMD Dragon is sweet. The new CPU the Phenom II 64 is awesome. They have a sick motherboard now, the 790GX which is a collab with Asus I beleive. I have all their new parts on a comp for like...under 1000$
