I haven't seen any Drum Corps topics here.

For those of you unfamiliar with Drum Corps, it would be (in simple terms) Marching band without woodwinds x 10000000000000000 and much much much much muchmore.

There are Drum Corps all around the world, the most notable in the U.S. in a league called DCI (Drum Corps International).

Drum Corps is Music's Major League Sport.

Those of you who have never heard of it, please watch this clip of the Phantom Regiment 2008 show: "Spartacus"

So, for those of you that are into Drum Corps, who is your favorite corps and why? (Just so we can start talking about it)

My favorite is Carolina Crown. Mainly because one of my friends is in their guard. (plus, they're good.)

well i like the colts mainly cuz they came and practiced at our school and let us watch and drool all over them

The Cavaliers, they're freaking amazing, have you not seen the Machine, or their more recent Samurai show? Them and the Blue Devils are so amazing, wish I could make it.

I like Phantom Regiment
Their foot timing is epic, and I loveee the show "Spartacus"

marched spartans dbc 2004-2007. fav div I would be cavaliers, phantom regiment, cadets, and carolina crown. i felt in 06 Phantom should have metaled, also felt this year crown shouldn't have gotten silver.

I really love the Phantom Regiment, mainly because of their show Sparticus. Although the Madison Scouts are really good too. And the Cavaliers are a really good band. But I would have to say that if I were to audition for any of the bands it would have to be the Pantom Regiment, I love their uniforms biggrin

some of the DCI corps performed down here in my area. ( North West Florida )

Carolina Crown used our field to practice on ( Hurley Manning Field/Milton High School )

But Carolina Crown couldn't perform because like 30 of their members were sick with H1N1 confused

Anyway.

I really Liked Glassmen and Boston Crusaders this year.

Sad to say that Phantom Regiment wasn't all that exciting.
