Oh, don't mind me...
Okay, so I was online looking for ideas on a cake I wanted to make--and I came across this simple how-to on making a vanilla lemon cake from scratch.

^_^ One thing I found that was delicious, was that when I went to make it, I didn't have any lemon extract, so instead I used Orange.
Another thing I DIDN'T have, was shortening. So I went ahead and substituted for butter. ^^;;;
Oh, and just to note--I don't have any cake flour, so when I used just normal white flour [you could use wheat flour!] it came out just fine!!
All in all--great cake! <3 Here's how it came out!
Not bad for my first time making a cake all on my own [especially from scratch~] huh? ^____^
:3 The Orange icing I homemade went perfect with it too! Feel free to try this recipe out with OTHER flavor combinations and post them here!! Maybe Chocolate Strawberry? Or Vanilla Apricot?? [yumm~]
