Mili walked into the beauty parlor and checked in with the woman at the front desk. She was five minutes early to her appointment; it always paid to be early rather than late. People think better of you.

She usually wore her hair in two long braided pigtails with little bows at the end, but tonight Father was having important business clients over for dinner, so he gave her extra money to go out and get whatever she wanted to look her best. Mili already got a low-cut, black dress that hugged her curves, and flared out to an a-line that stopped at the knee. She also got a pair of black, open toed heels. And, of course, she bought a dazzling necklace with matching earrings to add some sparkle.

To top it all off, she decided to get a mani/pedi and a beautiful up-do. Mili sat there waiting for her name to get called, flipping through magazines, trying to find the perfect style.

Mili looked over her shoulder quickly to make sure she was the only blonde girl browsing a magazine. She was. That meant that this other girl was addressing her, and with such a beaming and confident tone also.

She smiled on the inside and thought, 'why yes, I do have long, healthy hair'. It was always nice when someone else notices the hard work you put into your appearances.

"Why thank you, brown-haired girl. I will try 3B for the night, it will flow well with the texture and tone of my hair." It was strange to Mili that the other girl knew the book by heart, but this made her trust the selection of 3B more, because it meant that it was a well-informed choice. She continued, "are you here for an appointment also?"

Just for good measure, Mili turned and glared at the spa worker also. Her gaze could be frightful when she tried. No one could resist the power of four, rich, angry eyes.

Turning to the other girl she said, "How rude of me to not introduce myself yet. My name is Milla, by you may call me Mili".

"You are going to go to Crystal Academy, yes?" she asked hoping way deep down inside that the answer was affirmative. She liked this girl, and could sense that they would form quite the alliance of popularity.

"No, no Elegancia, the pleasure is all mine," Mili said smiling. And she was going to Crystal! Mili tried to hide her excitement, but she wasn't sure if it was working or not. Probably not.

"I go to Crystal also! This is going to be my first time in the dorms, Father wants me gone from the house for whatever reason... something about learning personal responsibility." She rolled her eyes at this, and then continued, "I don't know who I'm paired with yet though, I'm hoping she's not some wierdo that will hurt my reputation at all."

Mili had met some nice girls from Medowview so far that had started to change her perception on the importance of being wealthy or not, but at the same time, she really also didn't want to get paired with some scruffy, poor scholarship girl that might try to steal any of her stuff. The last thing she wanted was for all of her prized possessions to end up in some pawn shop.

Mili quickly caught what Elegancia hinting at. She was being quite coy about it though. Well, being that Mili was a direct person, she thought she'd just bring it up directly.

"You know, Elegancia, if both of us are going to be in the dorms, and neither of us have roommates yet, we could always apply to be living partners."

Strategically, the two of them would be quite the popularity powerhouse. The were pretty, classy, rich; really they had it all.
