The smell of the sea, the feel of moisture in her fur, the coolness that had caused her fur to grow thicker than a normal lioness'...The small things reminded her that she was truly home, after so long. She had wandered with her family for great distances, and now...now they were home. With Usiku and the cubs settled in the den, Ekun had a task to do...and she set off to do it with great enthusiasm, making her way across wet sand and stone as only one who'd grown up beside the water could. The Kifuko had to know she was home, and had to hear what she'd gathered...And Ekun wanted to show her the little stone that she'd found, that represented the lessons the Little Kifuko had learned on her journey.
Once she reached Kamaria's den, she scratched on the rock...her way of 'knocking'. She was glad it was mid-morning. "Kifuko Kamaria...Seeker Ekundayo has returned from her First Seeking, and wishes to share the knowledge she has gathered." Soon...soon, Ekun would be considered an adult. And she'd get to tell her mentor about the unexpected and wonderful surprise she'd gotten on her Seeking!
