I know the muse came weird and I will explain how I got it after the initial idea.
Setting: Future.... kinda / alternate world - distopia.
Where: The city (really, I just call it "the city").
Who: Gang of pre-teens (adolescence) orphans.
What: Basically, showing a struggle to find a better life or a paradise in an earthly hell.
Then: It's not supposed to be happy. No happy ending. The kids get involved in theft, sex, guns, drugs, and go through the struggle of having to keep together their "family" of orphans and strive to make the best. One by one, they die off and betray each other (or the other way, it doesn't really matter).
How: I saw this triathlete biker going down the free way while listening to Demon Days, and I've been thinking back on my finished edited piece. Then the more I thought on it, the more I started to think it was a piece of [censored] and that it was a bad idea; so maybe I should start over.
That's about as much as i remember though sweatdrop
Any feed back would be hot right about now...

I think it sounds like it could be ok... but it all depends on how you write it. What point of view you use, and style would play a big part in how this shapes out. You'd have to post a preview for me to give you any definite answer.
