Kora was walking at a pretty fast stride and her pups were having trouble keeping up. They were on a trip to gather more bedding for the cave that they lived in, but Kora had a side trip planned to make Urusinus aware of them. Whether he wanted to know or not. "Come on, just a little farther. We are going to meet your father. He's a bit standoffish and I don't know if he'll like you, but I will protect you. There is a reason I'm known as the Guardian," she said slowing her pace so the pups could catch up with her.

Kimor Sped up trying to keep up with his mother. "Don't worry, I trust you mom. I'm sure that Kaemes and Tsaruuk do too. I also doubt that our father would attack us," He said trying to sound up-beat and optimistic while inside he was rather pessimistic. He looked back at his siblings and smiled. Then he turned back around to catch up with his mom. He finally caught up when his mother slowed down her pace.

Rook sidled along, letting her legs drag as she struggled to keep up. "Mooooom! I'm tired!" She called foward. "Can't we take a break?" She asked. The warmer weather, however mild the difference, was already getting to her, used to snow and a harsh, white landscape. The greenery was a curiousity to the pup, and she would every now and again stop to admire some plant or other, falling further behind.

At one point, she almost caught her nose in a venus flytrap, unfamiliar with the plant. She prodded Kaemes and Kimor curiously, pointing at the plant. "The toothy bean thing tried to eat me!" She complained, trying to ignore any weird looks she got from the pair.

Kaemes padded along, struggling to keep up, just as his siblings were. His mothers legs and stride was a lot longer then his, and not to mention how often he slowed down to make sure Tsaruuk wouldn't get lost. Really, she was curious about everything. Yipping as he was nudged by Rook as she was supposedly attacked by a plant, Kaemes rolled his eyes.
“You'd attack you too if you stuck your nose so close to you!” Ah, the logic of pups. He was fairly sure that hadn't made sense, but quickened his pace so as not to give his siblings time to question his statement. He had to run to catch up the his mother and brother, stumbling as he tried to slow down abruptly. Jogging a little, he crossed the final distance, walking on the other side of his brother.
“Mom, why are we going to see father?” Kaemes asked, staring up at his mother. “I mean, there's a chance he won't like us, so why risk it? Couldn't we just stay with us four as a family? Do we really need a dad?” It had been something which had been bothering him the whole trip. He had been happy with his mom, sister and brother, just the four of them together.

Kora stopped and smiled at her pups. "I wouldn't put your nose near that thing, Very dangerous. No, No I wouldn't change The way we live for anything. First off I don't want you guys to grow up not knowing what your father looks like. Second we need to gather more bedding for our den and you can't get any of it in the North," She said to them. Kora looked up at the sky. It was starting to darken and it wasn't fun to travel around here at night. Not to mention It would be hard to keep track of everyone and the pup would probably end up getting lost.

Kimor wasn't exactly paying attention to what his mother said as he ran back to the strange plant. He put his nose closer too it than Rook had and the voracious plant clamped shut on his nose. He let out a growl and a yelp and the same time. He used his front paw to try and scratch his way free while pulling away from the plant with his other 3 legs. "Mom," he whined. The sound was muffled due to the predicament that he had gotten himself into.

Rook's eyes crawled forward towards her mother as she spoke, then darted back to the plant and it's captive. Her eyes widened, but she quickly returned to her senses, pouncing on the plant's base and gnawing at the stem. "Part the teeth, Kimor! Use your claws." She growled, still tugging at the plant, waiting to hear the vine-like base snap from the strain. "MOOOM! It's trying to eat Kimor, now!"

Kaemes nodded as his mother spoke, sighing. “I suppose I understand that, but really, I could do without knowing what father looked like,” he said, crinkling his nose. “I mean, I assume he has the kind of looks we have, 'cept without the pieces of you in it!
glancing back when he heard the outcry, his eyes widened. “Kimor!” He scrambled back, growling at the plant. “Bad plant! You don't get to eat Kimor!” He said, whacking the base of the plant below where Rook was biting, but his tiny claws didn't help much.

Kora turned around to see all three of her pups trying to free Kimor's nose from the plant. She sighed He was just too curious sometimes. "I warned you," She said as she jogged back to them. She grabbed onto the stem of the flytrap and ripped it out of the ground. Then she placed it on the ground. She set her paw on the bottom part of the plant and grabbed the top of it in her jaw and pried the dying plants mouth open.

Kimor tumbled over backwards once the plant let go of him. He was laughing a little between gasps for breathe. "That was kinda fun. Next time I don't think my nose is going anywhere near it though," He said once he had caught his breath. There was a slight ring of red around the nose. He smiled and looked around as if nothing had happened. He ran off and rubbed his tail along the bamboo varying the height of his tail as he moved making a beautiful sound.

Rook watched carefully, making sure to log the method in her mind for future reference, tilting her maw softly as she watched Kimor go o play with the Bamboo. "What're you doing, Kimor?" After a long moment, a viscious thought came to mind, and she grinned softly. Time for her to be an antagonist to annoy her brother. She hadn't even considered what her mother might do to her, though. "Kimor, behind you! Another mouthplant!" She called, feigning alarm and looking, rather simply, for a reaction.

Kaemes snickered as his brother broke free, brushing off the attack on his noise easily. He stored the way of killing the plant in the back of his mind, knowing he'd probably get into a similar situation one day. He started to follow his brother, interested in the music from the bamboo. He paused when he heard Rook call out, glancing back at her with a bemused look, he knew there was no plants behind Kimor. Snickering at the grin on her face, he rolled his eyes. “You're so nasty, Rook,” he teased, sitting down to watch what would happen next, glancing side-ways at his mom to see her reaction.

Kora sighed. Pups could move on and forget things quite swiftly without learning anything. "Come one we should keep moving," she said before realizing that Rook was picking on her brother. "Be nice to Kimor," She said sternly. Kora started moving on deeper into the bamboo forest. Occasionally she would taste the air for Urusinus' scent. She could smell it faintly. She was half listening to the pup's chattering behind her. "Hurry up or You'll be left behind," Kora called back to them.

Kimor stopped and turned around his tail waging back and first. "Making noise. Where is it Rook?" he asked sounding rather excited about another one of the mouthplants. He had plans of teasing one in his head. He could spend a whole night figuring out ways to tease one and never get bored. He had already gotten over the other one biting him nose. He looked around trying to find one but his tail drooped when he realized there weren't any around. "That's no nice! You get my hopes up and then there isn't any," He said glaring at Rook then stalking away after his mom.

Rook stared at Kimor's reaction. She'd admittedly been hoping he'd jump around and run off to go hide under mom, and was somewhat disappointed when the reaction turned out completely opposite. "Well, YOU'RE no fun..." She snapped, sticking her tongue out at him. "Why is it my teasing upsets everyone for different reasons, but the boys can tease any time they want-..." Her sentence drifted. That was the end of it, anyways, but... Something on the air smelled different than before. "Hey momma, is that another wolf?" She asked, hopping up to her side curiously.

“It's cause you're a girl, Rook,” Kaemes said, matter-of-factly but more as a tease, giving her a crooked grin. “Girls are suppose to be nice.” He flicked his tail, padding up to their mother's side when she chided them about falling behind. Glancing at Rook as she mentioned about another scent, he breathed deep, inhaling only the faintest traces of foreign scent. He tilted his head to the side, drawing as much air into his lungs as possible. Was that what they're father's scent was like?
Instead of speeding up, Kaemes pace slowed until he was dragging behind his siblings, a reluctant look on his face. He didn't want his family to change, he liked them the way they were. Did they really need a dad? Huffing, he dragged his feet and stared at the ground as he barely moved with each step.

Kimor Smiled at Rook "And Boys are supposed to behave like that," He said added to what Kaemes had said. Kimor sped up to catch up with his mother and almost ran into Kaemes as he started to slow down. Kimor dodged to the left and ran right into Kora's right foreleg. He bounced back with a grunt. Then he realized his mother was talking at sat attentively for how ever long that lasted.

Kora sniffed the air again before noticing Kaemes slipping behind. "Come on Kaemes we are going to stop soon. We should probably get something to drink.... and food as well," Kora said. They were also nearing a spot that the pup's father frequented. It was a small pond full of fish and visited by any other food in the territory. Urusinus liked to call it a buffet for whatever that mean't. "Yes Rook it's another Helix. It's the one we've been looking for. The scent is pretty strong because he comes here almost everyday," Kora replied and decided to teach them a little more about scent because it wasn't easy to do in the North. "Gather round. I did tell you that you would learn a lot on this trip as well," She was referring to when they were getting ready to leave on this journey. She had mentioned that they would learn to tell some medicinal herbs, Scenting, and a lot about other helixes. "We'll talk about scents today," she said pausing and glancing at the sky.

Urusinus awoke with a start. On the air there was a familiar smell. He shifted away from his mate hoping to leave without stirring her but failed. The female growled a little. "Don't worry I'll be back. Just taking a walk," He whispered into her ear before moving out of the makeshift den and stretching his wings. with two shift movements he was airborne. He gained altitude until he was nearing a low patch of clouds. He stretched out his wings and drifted through the air trying to spot Kora while staying hidden in the clouds.

The young fae harumphed at her brothers and stuck her tongue out at them, before listening to her mother. She tilted her head curiously before trotting up to her mother to stay close, as instructed. Her tail batted the air excitedly at the prospect of learning. Learning was always fun, especially with mamma. "We gonna use our noses to hunt?" She asked, feeling suddenly full of an energy inexhaustible, ready to chase one of those hares that she could never seem to catch. "What's food like down here, mamma? Is it fast, like the white rabbits back home?"

Kaemes huffed but listened to his mother, fastening his pace so he was walking beside her until she stopped, sitting down next to her by her side, resting his head softly against her fur. Staring up at her as she spoke, he tried to take in the scent of the man who'd fathered them. Listening to her intently, Kaemes tried to contain his excitement. He didn't show it as openingly as his sister did, practically bouncing, but his eyes lit up in a way they usually didn't. Flicking his tail as he sat, “what about scents, mother?” He prompted when she paused, glancing at the sky. He looked up too, squinting into the clouds with a frown.
