PLOT (credit to Walden Media):
Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their pesky cousin Eustace Scrubb - find themselves swallowed into a painting and on to a fantastic Narnian ship headed for the very edges of the world. Joining forces once again with their royal friend Prince Caspian and the warrior mouse Reepicheep, they are whisked away on a mysterious mission to the Lone Islands, and beyond. On this bewitching voyage that will test their hearts and spirits, the trio will face magical Dufflepuds, sinister slave traders, roaring dragons and enchanted merfolk. The Dawn Treader: Over the past several weeks, we have watched her evolution from all angles. But this latest photo gives us our best look yet at the finished product, and the image on the sail. View photo here.

NarniaWeb Spy Tamara is at it again, posting seven new videos from the Dawn Treader set, including one with Eustace swinging something around, and another (embeded below) where he is crying much harder than any boy of his age has a right to cry when nothing worse than a wetting has happened to him. Listen carefully and you might be able to make out some of the dialogue. View videos here.

Twelve more pictures are up at MundoNarnia.com, including a shot of Reepicheep’s stand-ins. My guess is that the more realistic stand-in is used for lighting reference, and the green one is what the actors interact with during the scenes. In post-production, the green stand-in will be erased, and then replaced with a computer-generated character (voiced by Eddie Izzard). Green and blue are often used for this because these colors are considered to be the “furthest away” from human skin tones, and so are easier for the computer to isolate and erase.
This first sighting of Reepicheep on set should excite fans, since his role in “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” is what made him the fan-favorite of the series.
Most of the photos show Ben Barnes talking to the crowd through the gate, and if you look at the bottom/right corner of one of them, you’ll see Douglas Gresham (co-producer, C.S. Lewis’ stepson). View photos here.

Dozens of pictures and videos have been posted online over the past few weeks, but Georgie Henley has been noticeably missing from them for the most part. Now, we finally have some clear shots of her on board the Dawn Treader, and she sure has grown up. Be sure to read the blog entry as well. View photos here.

I was recently at the filming site for VDT and I saw them filming 2 different scenes. One was the one where the dragon attacks the ship and the other was Eustace and Reepicheep’s ‘fight scene’.
Dragon Attack
The directions for the dragon attack I think we already know about. All the actors were on the ship while the director (or at least someone with an American accent) gave instructions like “okay, the dragon’s coming up to the ship, he’s flying to one, now he’s at two, now he’s at three, okay now he’s on the mast!’ At one point I saw Drinian walk down the stairs looking very important.
The crew of the ship were running around while Georgie was on a higher level of the ship with a young girl. Before the dragon came, the scene consisted of Lucy having a conversation with her. When the dragon does come Lucy ducks down and forces the girl down with her, but when the ship’s crew start to fire at the dragon when he’s on the mast, Lucy shouts ‘what’s he doing?!!!’ or ‘what are they doing?!!’ or something like that, obviously she is not happy with the fact that the dragon is being shot at.
Eustace vs. Reepicheep
The other scene I could only see that Eustace comes up to the edge and looks over the side of the ship with a sword, I get the feeling he thinks he’s somehow forced Reepicheep into the water. Then a man with a greenscreen mouse comes over and places it on the ropes near Eustace, Eustace sees him and then they go off out of view to the centre of the ship, but I can guess what’s going on because the director (or whoever it was) is saying to the Dawn Treader crew “okay guys, you’re clapping, you’re laughing you’re enjoying the fight”.
Later the scene was redone using a more realistic looking mouse, and they shot some footage with the silver ball. They alternated between shooting the scene with a still ship and with the ship rocking.

We have it on good authority, from a very reliable source, that filming officially wrapped at Cleveland Point on September 24th. There is no word on where the ship will move next, however.
Word is the wrap was announced at the end of the day after shooting on the Dawn Treader all day. No word on what was shot, though filming will continue until the official wrap on or around November 13.

Major spoiler here, you have been warned... Skandar is still at Cleveland. But instead of being on the magical Dawn Treader, Edmund is filthy, bruised and finding himself in another dungeon. Sound familiar? From Skandar's official website.

Spoiler... A few days ago, Tamara posted a video showing the Mysterious Little Girl (Gael) and Rhince jumping off the ship. It started all kinds of speculation and discussion about who the girl was, and why she was jumping off the ship. Now, this video might give us some another clue. It shows Lucy and Edmund’s reaction
Before the calling action, Jeff Okabayashi seems to say “They just jumped in the water, and they’re swimming out to their mom.” It’s hard to read Lucy’s expression, but Edmund puts his arm around her. View the video here.

Right now there isn’t anything to see other than the placeholder, but all the other previous big Fox movies have had an official website hotlinked on that particular page. It’s definitely worth keeping an eye on!

NarniaWeb spy Andrew writes: “Hey, I was at Movie World today and from the Lethal Weapon ride I was able to see a set in the process of being contructed in the studios backlot. It looks as if to be some desert or beachy area with towering cliffs.” As we don’t know for sure that this is a Dawn Treader set, please take this report with a grain of salt. Although it’s very likely as there are many beach sets in this movie.

In a recent interview with Examiner’s Carla Hay, Ben Barnes dropped a very intriguing tidbit about the overall The Voyage of the Dawn Treader storyline.
Let’s talk about the “Dawn Treader” movie. I know you can’t reveal any spoilers, but what’s in the movie that’s different from the book?
Barnes: They’ve stolen a couple of ideas from some of the later ["Chronicles of Narnia"] books. [It’s] a very difficult book to adapt, because it’s very episodic. It’s chapter by chapter. They go on the voyage, they go to one island, a bit more voyage, another island, a bit more voyage, another island. It’s very satisfying to read; every chapter by chapter, it’s very exciting. But it has no real through line. And so they have to kind of steal other elements to sew it all together. I think they’ve done it in a really clever, unobtrusive way.
Could this perhaps have something to do with the “unfathomable fate” we’ve heard about in the production’s written movie synopsis? It certainly seems like a strong possibility, but until we get more information, let the speculation begin!

Yesterday, I was given a tour of the set of the latest Narnia film, “Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader”.
I saw four sets. The first one was a medieval, Italian village with dirt streets and high, stone, castle-like walls. Construction workers were pulling it down as filming was finished in that set.
The ship itself is built inside one of the large concrete “sound stages” at the Oxenford studios. It was quite a surreal experience to enter the building only to see a large ship, built on top of a hydraulic machine that makes the ship appear it’s pitching and rolling on the open seas.
The third set, in another sound stage, was of the masters cabin inside the ship and the fourth, below deck (where the slaves would row). View rest here.
