The sun was out, and Shushara was padding outside of the pridal territory to hunt. Normally she was never outside the pride alone-- Shupavu had always warned her that running around could get her killed by a demon or a vampire, or even a Firekin. But she didn't want to live in fear, no, she wanted to see the world. Even if it meant only doing so on the hunt for food without her father breathing down her throat. She kneaded the ground a bit, and pressed on. There had to be something out there, right?

Nyack lifted his head as he gazed around the plains. His muzzle was starting to gray but he didn't mind. Age happened. It made him wiser. He was scouting today. Making sure there were no enemy prides near by. After all, the troupe didn't need trouble.
Standing on the hill it didn't take him long to spot someone traveling. A lioness from the look of it. He squinted, trying to make her out. Should he greet her? She seemed to be moving without a direction or a purpose.
Terrible. Everyone needed a purpose. He bounded down from where he was and got closer to her, tail swinging behind him, ears forward. He paused a few yards away just encase. He didn't know if she was hostile or afraid. Either way, best not to run her over.
He let out a small roar, announcing his presence before giving a few gruff sounds of greeting. None threatening. Just curious by tone. He tried to look his friendliest which for the male was a rather easy task. He screamed friendly from every pore. It was amazing he even made it as a body guard.

Shushara jumped, spinning and facing the noise, claws bared, but her face was startled. Seeing the older male approaching without a threat she calmed, velveting her paws to a similiar friendly gesture. To be honest, she'd thought she was alone out there, but seeing others was welcome. Shushara sat, tail curling around herself as she smiled to him in greeting.
"Hello!" She roared, kindly. The tip of her tail flicked.

Nyack studied her, ready to back off if he needed to. It was good he didn't just run up. He might end up with scars. He gave her a smile and a nod of his head when she seemed to calm down.
"Ah, Hello..." He greeted in return as he approached her. He was still cautious but she didn't seem aggressive. Good. He didn't like fighting females. "I'm Nyack... You seemed to be lost. Can I help you?"

"My name is Shushara... I was exploring. Unfortuanately, I've never left my homelands."
She looked sheepishly to him, grinning weakly.

"Exploring? You should be careful if you've never left. There are many dangerous prides out here." He looked up and around. He was never really sure they hadn't crossed them. He inhaled again before turning.
"If you need a place to rest for a while... we have our troupe just a day's walk away. Our leader can probably help what you're looking for and at the least we can get you some food." He smiled rather warmly at her. "It'll be safe there and we are all friends."

"That may help.." Shushara smiled shyly. "I just wish.... Oh, I'll sound silly.."
She looked sheepish.
"I wish I knew what I was looking for."

The male lion sat down beside her curiously. "No you sound fine... You don't sound silly at all." He gave her a side long smile.
"When I was traveling... I was looking for a pride and a home. I found something... like a pride. No one really liked me because my mane is green." He tossed it and thought it was a funny notion. He'd long let it go after being with Taban so long. The cheetah had helped him realized so many things.
"Come with me then. I'll find you some water and food and we'll locate my leader." He responded getting up and walking off a bit before looking back at her.
