Zarud stood with his arms crossed. He looked out to the hidden leaf village.

The hokage appeared parallel to Zarud, his hands pocketed. His relaxed eyes were staring out at the village, his one and only home. He slowly pulled each hand from his pocket, scrolls hidden within his sleeves. "Start talking." The hokage said bluntly.

Zarud turned to the hokage "You have something I want.... I know you have it.... You will give me... The Star...." Zarud's orange eyes pierced through the hokage as if to tear apart his very being.

"What do you intend to do with it." He asked, not frankly attached to this object. He looked into Zarud's harsh eyes, they were quite hardened in his opinion. He would gladly ditch the meteor, but he wouldn't give it a corrupt man.

After flying past the river between Konoha and Kiri, and seeing the explosion at the now barren outpost, and running through the forest of death, Zane now found himself jumping from tree top to tree top trying to find the Hokage and Otokage after his clone witnessed them leave. His clone should have just tailed them instead of just dissapearing and letting him do all the tracking. Suddenly, he saw the two figures, standig on the treetops. From where he stood, they seemed ready to just completely rip each other apart. Now Zane faced a dilema...Zane had taken a liking to Zarud and Otogakure, but they did place him in a genjutsu that made him fight his own Saanin. Then there's the Hokage, and although Zane hated the Leaf, him and the Hokage fought together against Sephiroth. Who was Zane and Mist going to side with. Zane hid himself in the shadows of the treetops, watching, waiting to find the answer within himself.

Hibari landed besides Zane and eyed him furiously, meaning he was going to accept all punishment that was going to come. He simply whispered in his ear, "We both know that you would need help, you can punish me after." Hibari hand both hands tied up on the hilts of his sword.

"If you don't go back to Kiri till the count of 3, I will kill you, you stupid fool," Zane stated firmly. A genin at a point like this would more than likely hinder him. As long as he was there, Zane wouldn't be able to fight to the fullest. And now he risked blowing his cover. "1..." Zane started.

Hibari opened his body fully up and standing in front of he motioned for him to do his best. Slowly Hibari spoke, "I have no intention on going back, do as you please." There was no hesitation in his voice, he wasn't going to leave his Kage here all alone.

Zane took out one of his fabled red senbons from within his pouch as he pointed it at Hibari. "2...." Zane continued

Hibari glanced at the red senbon, he had heard story's about it slowly he back away, but didn't leave. Hibari stated, "I'm not going to ditch my Kage, and if you truly are a Kage you wouldn't kill one of your shinboi because he wants to help." Hibari locked eyes with Zane, but made sure to keep a eye on the red senbon.

Zane stood upright now, the senbon in his eye being gripped tighter. "You need to learn your place Hibari, sometimes there are things that you can not help and sometimes it's better for you to just stay out of it..." Zane stated coldly as he looked at him dead in the eyes. If he doesn't leave now, he would do it. He will not have a liability wandering around him, he would rather get rid of it. "3..."

Ronnel burst from the trees near Hibari and Zane, throwing himself at the gennin. He had seen the glint in the older man's eyes, he knew the man wouldn't hesitate to kill the gennin. No matter what happened at this point, whether he dodged Ronnel's tackle or was hit by it, Hibari would be taken out of the path of Zane's snebon, and if he did get caught in the tackle, the two gennin would fall to the forest floor.
