Awww Ty, I'm sorry to hear that I take it you were close to your grandpa other wise it wouldn't have effected you so much. *hugs* Again, I'm sorry for your loss! TwT

I wasn't close to him, I only saw him a few times in my life. He lives in the state new york, I live in California so seeing him a lot would have been hard. I also rarely ever talked to him, but that doesn't mean I don't have the right to be upset and grumpy.

True, but just because you don't see someone all the time also doesn't mean that you're not close to them either.
Although I would say that I'm very distant from anyone in my family it's a path I've chosen long long ago even since before I moved out to Minnesota, I've just always been a hermit. >>;

I never really *knew* my grandfathers...One of them died before I was even born, and the other one was kinda...Well, he wasn't exactly the nicest person. He was more of the typical 'grumpy grandpa' thing...But I was still upset when he died a few years ago...

My grandfather was a very hardworking and tall person. I was born the same height as he was actually. I'm pretty sure he used to own a construction company at one point or another. He was a very amazing person and I do believe that so I suppose you have a point sug. I felt close to him, though I wasn't.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Sometimes, just knowing that you are related to someone makes you feel close to them.
