Grace
Night had already settled and left as the sun rose to its place in the sky, beaming down on the earth below without any interference from passing clouds. Rays of sunlight passed through the leaves of the tree the young mother Grace had been sleeping with a couple of her kits. She slowly opened her eyes as she looked up through the holes left by the leaves to see that it was daylight. She looked down at the two she had wrapped around with her tail, as well as Nia nearby. Slowly standing, she unwrapped her tail from the two.
Grace looked down from the tree at a small thicket not to far away and gently picked up the first kitten, Tanya, by the scruff of her neck and quickly climbed down the tree and over to the thicket where she placed her down with her siblings whom were also still sleeping. She then quickly ran back and up the tree, doing the same with Taylor before coming out and looking around the surrounding area.
"Xerxes? Xerxes are you nearby?" she called as she stood near the entrance of the thicket, her ears alert for any sounds either behind her or nearby.

“I’m right here my dear. I was just getting a drink from the stream,” said a voice beside Grace. Xerxes walked up to his mate from behind some thickets and nuzzled his cheek against hers. “Did you sleep well?” he asked, stretching out his back.
Two other kittens were sleeping soundly beside Tanya and Taylor. Lamis’s body was covered in blue fur with black stripes. Her tail was also black, with black fur that looked like a mask around her eyes. The other kitten, Zephyr, was a light cream color like her father, with black ears and a tail like her mother. Her left paw was black up to her elbow.

Grace
Grace's ears perked somewhat as she heard her mates voice from behind. She turned towards him as he nuzzled his cheek against hers and returned the favor doing the same. "No predators or anything nearby then?" she asked as she watched Xerxes stretch out his back, which had only been followed after a question. Grace sat back on the ground as she licked at certain patches of her fur, cleaning herself of any dirt, before looking back at him. "I had a decent amount of sleep when comparing days before. I was having minor problems with Taylor and Tanya again, those two." she said chuckling as she stood up, stretching her own back before looking around again.
"I'm going to get a drink from the stream now, be safe and watch the kittens, can't trust them alone for nothing" she said smiling before she walked towards Xerxes before dragging her body against the front of him in a show of affection before trotting off ahead in the direction of the stream.
Taylor, a cream colored male kitten with black at the end of his front paws, the top of his head and ears, was sleeping next to Tanya, a brown colored female kitten with black ears as well. Both wore stripes on their backs like their father whom wore them all over his body. The two rested next to their sisters Lamis, a blue kitten and Zephyr, a much darker cream colored one.
In the thicket also laid a much bigger kitten whom had been adopted by Grace before she had met Xerxes some time ago. Nia was mostly black with a brown head and blue eyes. She was much older then the other kittens, but shared no blood with any of them. She slept close to the group of newborns, but not so close as the sibling kittens were to one another.

Xerxes laid beside the kittens as they slept, licking at his own fur to clean it. "I don't know where they get their enrgy. They're always causing some sort of mischief." he thought, chuckling.
Lamis then slowly opened her eyes, yawning as she stood up, stretching. She smiled up at her father and nuzzled his cheek against his. "Morning dad!" she said happily, her tail flicking about.
"Good morning Lamis. Did you sleep well?" he asked, licking her face.
"Yeah," Lamis said, nodding. "I'm gonna get a drink!" she said, and bounded off to the stream where her mother was, and stood beside her at the bank. "Morning mom!" she said, and starting drinking from the stream.
Zephyr opened her eyes and yawned and stretched as she stood up. She smiled up at her father and nuzzled her cheek against his. "Morning dad," she said. She then looked over at her other two siblings who were still asleep and giggled. "They're always the last to wake up." she said.

Grace
Grace had trotted down towards the stream and looked around before she lowered her head to start lapping at the water from the stream with her tongue. Her ears perked as she heard the sound of small and light-footed footsteps coming from behind her but continued drinking until she lifted her head. She smiled as she Lamis run over beside her and start drinking from the stream. "Morning. I'm guessing your father just let you come here by yourself, or did you run off before he could give you an answer?" she said chuckling as she walked over towards the blue kitten and picked her up by the scruff of her neck before she could even finish drinking.
She walked a few feet away from the stream and set Lamis down onto the ground. "Looks like your up first for a bath" she said as she laid next to her, curling her tail around so that Lamis couldn't get away and started licking at her fur. "any of your sisters or your brother awake?" she asked Lamis as she gave her, her bath.
Tanya yawned as she stretched her legs out, her eyes opening to slits as she looked around herself. Blinking, the small brown kitten stood up on all fours and looked next to her to see Taylor and spat her tongue at him while he was still sleeping. She looked over at Zephyr and her father, trotting over to them. "Morning sis, Dad" she said smiling as she walked over.Taylor remained asleep as he rolled over onto his back.

Lamis groaned as she struggled to get out of her mother's grasp. "Mom, stop! I can give myself a bath!" she said annoyedly. "And I think I just heard Zephyr and Tanya get up." she said.
Xerxes chuckled as he watched Lamis run off, shaking his head. "That girl.... Always doing her own thing...." he thought. He then looked down at Tanya as she woke up and greeted him and Zephyr. "Good morning Tanya." he said, smiling. He chuckled as he saw Taylor remain fast asleep. "Your brother is always the last to wake up." he said, an amused look on his face.
"Hey Tanya." Zephyr said, yawning and stretching again. She then looked over Taylor and sighed. "Geez, Taylor's so lazy." she said, sighing. She then blinked as a butterfly flew by and grinned, starting to chase after it.
Xerxes quickly grabbed Zephyr by the scruff of her neck before she got too far. "Oh no you don't young lady. You're not running off again. Remember what happened yesterday?" he said.
Zephyr whined as she struggled. "But dad! I wanna play with the butterfly!! I promise I won't go off too far!" she said.
"I said no young lady." Xerxes said sternly. "Just stay here until your mother and sister come back." he said, setting her down.
"Fine...." Zephyr said, laying down in the ground, a bored look on her face as her tail swished about boredly.

Grace
Grace simply chuckling as she continue to clean Lamis, turning her about as she cleaned her. "You know you wouldn't give yourself a good cleaning and you know it. Now sit still young lady" Grace said as she finished up with Lamis' cleaning, before uncurling her tail around the small blue kitten. But before she could even think of scampering away, she grabbed her up in her mouth by the scruff of her neck as she headed back towards the thicket.
It didn't take long for her to hurry along back, on the alert for anything nearby as made her way to the entrance of the thicket where she placed Lamis down. "go on" she said smiling as she nudged her towards her sisters and brothers. She then walked around towards Xerxes, rubbing her head against his neck as she walked by, laying down next to him. "You okay?" she asked.
"Morning!" Tanya said to her father smiling as she looked over at Zephyr. "Morning Zephyr!" she said as she looked over at Taylor. "I'm glad he's asleep. Taylor's a jerk!" she said frowning. She blinked as she watched Zephyr started to chase after the butterfly chuckling as her father went and grabbed her. She looked over as her mother came in and ran over as she laid down next to her. "mom, Taylor is still sleep, you should make him go to sleep early tonight" she said."Both of you are always causing some kind of trouble" Grace said chuckling as she reached over and grabbed Tanya up, placing her in the middle of her paws with her tail curved around as she started to give her a bath as well."moooooomm" Tanya whined.Taylor yawned as he rolled onto his stomach, looking over at Tanya as was getting her bath. He then looked over at Lamis and Zephyr, smirking. "What are all you cry babies doing?" he said before yawning.

Xerxes rubbed Grace’s neck back as she lay down beside him. “I’m fine.” he said. He chuckled as he heard Tanya whine. “You have to have a bath everyday Tanya, you know that. Now just sit patiently until your mother finishes.” He said. He then started to give himself a bath.
“Morning Tanya!” Zephyr said. She laughed as Tanya whined. She then gave Taylor an annoyed look as he spoke. “Shut up! I’m not a cry baby!” she said.
“Yeah, take that back!” Lamis said, lunging at Taylor and pushing him to the ground, swiping a paw at his face.
“That’s enough Lamis,” Xerxes said. “Taylor, you stop as well. There’s no need for name-calling. Now apologize.” He said sternly.
Zephyr blinked as another butterfly flew by and grinned, chasing after it.

Grace
Grace purred lightly when Xerxes rubbed back against her neck right before she laid down to give Tanya a bath. She didn't really pay attention to Tanya's whining, but seemed to smile when Xerxes spoke. She finished after a few minutes, uncurling her tail so that Tanya could move on to whatever she was going to do next only sighing as Taylor woke up and immediately started causing trouble.
Tanya frowned as her mother continued to give her a bath, giving Zephyr a weird look when she laughed at her before looking at Taylor. "I'm not a cry baby!" she said.Grace sighed. "You father's right Taylor, now apologize to your sisters" she said.Tanya pulled away from her mother as she soon as she had the chance and looked over at Zephyr, cocking her head to the side.Taylor kept the smirk on his face as both Zephyr and Tanya complained. He gritted his teeth as Lamis pushed him to the ground and struck his face, quickly getting up and pushing to the ground about to do the same when his father intervened. His ears fell flat against his head as he looked away. "It's their fault for being babies!" he said. Grace quickly got up and chased after Zephyr, grabbing her up by the scruff of her neck before she got too far. "not again young lady" she said as she carried her back to her spot next to Xerxes before starting to give her a bath now, Tanya laughing now. Nia yawned.
