This guild celebrates bodies in all shapes and sizes.
So, which part of, or thing about, your body is your favorite?
For me personally, it's my legs. When I was growing up, my mom told me I had nice legs (this coming from a woman who would tell me, at 12 years old, that I wasn't wearing enough makeup eek ) I like the shape and aesthetics of them, but I love what they can do.
They're strong and muscular and they help me to do so much stuff. They let me go for long walks on the beach or around my city. They put up with my hour-long sessions on the elliptical. They've definitely helped me with some of my volunteer work, like the month I spent in New Orleans rebuilding houses. They let me ride my bike around my beach house and they let me take down my boyfriend when we're playing.
So how about you? What do you love about your body?

i'm proud of my big thighs for the same reason - they DO stuff. they'll never be pencil-thin, but they're workhorses. i'm a fast walker and a person who doesn't complain about being tired, and my powerful legs are a major contributor to that. it's genetic - big legs and puny arms run in the side of my family that i take after. i kind of like my puny arms, too, matter of fact.
oh, and i have an AMAZING a**. seriously, you could bounce a quarter off this bad larry. it looks better in pants (or at least in underwear or a swimsuit) than naked, though - i feel that way about most of my body.

This too is sacred Hmm...my favorite body part. Well, I love my feet; I love they way they look and how hard they work for me. smile Like legs and thighs, they get me places and keep me on balance. I love my calves but I'm still working on my thighs. I'm ok with my belly but I LOVE how my breasts look in a nice fitting bra. wink Very smexy. Also, when my hair is behaving, I love how soft it is and it's gentle curls.

Truthfully, I don't like anything about my body.
But I like the knowledge I have that, if the need ever arises, I can kick practically anyone's butt, or at least do some serious damage, in a physical fight. I may not be as strong as I once was, but I can still take care of myself.

I like my feet and my calves. My calves are like steel. :3 And my feet are foot fetish material. whee
I'm also pretty strong. And, uh... I like my hair, usually. It's normally blue. 3nodding

But I like the knowledge I have that, if the need ever arises, I can kick practically anyone's butt, or at least do some serious damage, in a physical fight. I have to admit, I'm jealous of all you leg-lovers. Hips and below are definitely my least favorite parts, unfortunately. Not only are they the fattest part of my body, but I've got teeny feet in comparison to the rest of me (looks odd, serious balance issues), my ankles are different sizes (thanks to a bad sprain), finding well-fitting pants is an absolute pain in the mother-loving a**; my ankles and especially my knees are very weak. I roll my ankles a bunch, and my knees always hurt after long days. I'm scared for them because my mom has had 3+ knee surgeries in life, and her mother had one knee replaced last summer, likely to do the same for the other. And I think my dad's dad had both knees replaced... So I'm kind of screwed. So yeah. Still working on building love for the hips-down.
I've been reluctant to post here because I could only think of a kind of pathetic favorite body part. My mouth, as a whole. My lips are very well-formed; my friend called them "full and pillowy." My tongue sends the delicious tastes to my brain so I can enjoy my food. Tongue also for speaking, expressing myself. Definitely grateful for that, even if sometimes I say some dumb stuff. And while I don't have the ideal teeth--not quite pearly white, not quite nicely uniform, hyper-calcified enamel--they do make for a lovely smile.
Close seconds: my hair (when it cooperates) and my breasts, the perfect accessories for almost any outfit. xd

i love my butt. most girls i know hate the very thought of their butts being big, but i honestly like mine that way. most of the guys i know don't have a problem with it either~
something from a Nike ad described how i felt about it perfectly:
My butt is big
And round like the letter c

LadyEladrin This too is sacred biggrin I love your enthusiasm, Kerminatrix. ^^ Can I call you Kermie for short? love as thou wilt go right ahead! and nayva, as far as leg love goes, i don't know if i love mine so much as i respect them. like, they're the biggest part of my body, the farthest from the beauty ideal, and the part that gives me the most trouble getting clothes to look good on them, but since they are useful, i give them a pass. my stomach flab, by comparison, isn't so egregious, but it doesn't do anything, so i have zero love for my gut. it doesn't even make up for its fatosity with usefulness!

I would have to say probably my face because I like the way it looks no matter what size I am in. My second favorite part is my boobs probably lol.

I like a lot of things about my body! If I had to choose a favorite thing I think it would be my legs. I've always been very athletic and fat, so my thighs and calves are big, but defined and very strong! 3nodding

I actually did a post about this in my LJ over a year ago and got some amazing replies from the lovely people in the fatshionista community. I'll go ahead and just repeat what I said then. I love my hands. They're strong and capable, and can wield chainmail pliers, a pen, or a stirring spoon with equal amounts of ease. They allow me to create. That's almost magical, really. I can show love and affection with them, whether that's by stroking my cat, holding hands with someone close to me, or making and sharing a cup of tea. I love my calves. They're nicely shaped, even if they're usually hidden by jeans. They're white, and hairy, and wide, and short, but they're strong and I find them lovely. I love my arms. They're strong enough to move a bag full of textbooks or a box full of paperbacks, and gentle enough to cradle skittish felines. Whether hauling books around, embracing a loved one, or cradling a cat or chinchilla, they're strong enough and dependable.
