 From the outside Emi's house looks almost the same as everyone elses. The same wood pannels make up the structure, the same thatch roof covers the ceiling, and the same wattle makes up the cement for the wood. A wooden porch leads up to a soft oak door, and on the side of the porch usually sits a rather large rocking chair. One black and white blanket is thrown over the chair, which usually pillows out at either side, so that the fringe of the blanket just touches the wooden rockers. A lantern hangs from the ceiling, and the door appears to be patterned over with ornate swirls of a feather pattern. Usually, a dog is lying on the rocking chair, muzzle on his paws, though hes normally far too gone with the Fairies to care about intruders. The inside walls are a splash of beige and midnight blue. Odd photos of loved ones and times that have passed sit around, with one sitting on top of the mantle piece and another resides on the coffee table. The bottom floor is broken off into three rooms, with an extra squeezed into the corner by clever usage of the screens. One room houses the kitchen, a small working area that Emi takes no pride in at all. The pots remain where they were when the furry had settled in, gathering dust no doubt. The living room is a much larger communal area. It houses one old sofa, and a matching chair set. Both appear to be withering with age, but with the aid of a throw blanket and a few cushions look almost brand new. A coffee table rests in-between both seats, and the hearth is exactly opposite. Just on top of the hearth sits a lonely speaker, its partner located on the other side of the stone structure. Leads hang off from around the edge of the room, before connecting with Emi's mp3 player on the windowsill. Just off to one side, is Emi's room. Swirls run up the inside of her wall in dark blue and even grey in places. The patterns all lead down to the furry's rustic wooden bed, with the patchwork quilt thrown over the mattress. Beside the bed stands a rather delicate night stand, on which Emi keeps her hard-backed journal and fountain pen. The second floor is upholstered in the same style. Two screens block the room off into two. On one side resides a few bookshelves, full to the brim with books of the past, present and now. Most books appear to be fiction, but a few choice none-fiction volumes can be located on the top shelf. The other half of the room is for the Aerandir, when she comes along. A bed is already set out, along with its own night-stand. A large pillow is lovingly placed at the end of the bed, and a bag of materials situate themselves near-by, ready for such a time when Emi decides to sew the quilt together.

The Outside
Height: Blanche is roughly about two foot five (2"5). Though exact measurements are not known as she has not been measured yet.
Weight: Light.
Fur colour: Pitch white
Eye colour: Golden yellow
Feathers: Blanche has a set of long, remige (contour) feathered wings that (despite their size and appearance) are really quite light and mobile. Her actual wing feathers are black and white speckled, while the downy feathers around her eyes and neck are a reminiscent-to-the-rest-of-her-body white.
Please note: Blanche has a unique adaptation as an Owl-type of having a frimbriate (fringe-like) leading edge to her primary wing feathers (normally referred to as either "Flutings" or "Frimbiae"). With any normal bird in flight, air rushes over the surface of the wing, creating turbulence; which in turn makes a gushing noise. On Blanche's wings, the frimbriate breaks down the turbulence into small groups called micro-turbulences. This effectively muffles the sound of flying, and allows a silent flight. (However, this will only become evident once Blanche has mastered flying.)
Ears: Blanche has a set of small, rounded white ears upon her head. Each is covered in a dense layer of white fur.
Tail: Blanche's tail is easily about three quarters the length of her body. Her tail is actually covered in a thick layer of fluffy white fur, yet despite the heat, her tails usually curled around her body when lying down.

Nicknames: Emi, Shorty
Gender: Female
Age: Twenty three
Race: Appears to be a human/animal mix but what animal or creature is un-known.
Lives in: Hut number one on the Island of Ar' Idil.
Occupation: Photographer for a local media firm.
Height: Just a little over 4".
Weight: Without her fur Emi would be all skin and bones, with barely an inch of muscle wrapped around her. Luckily for Emi she has a thick fur pelt which enables the furry to look just thin- without verging on skinny, which would happen without all that fur.
Hair Colour: Mousy brown, which darkens at the tips.
Eye Colour: Silvery blue.
Fur Colour Emi is covered from head to the tips of her paws in a thick fur pelt. Her fur itself is creamy beige, while her markings are a dark chocolate brown.

Gender: Male
Description: Toby is your traditional rough border collie. He has a long shaggy coat full of brown, white, and even black fur. A long and pointed nose completes the appearence of this breed type.
Brief Personality: Toby is very much laid back. He takes each day as it comes, and likes nothing more than to curl up on the nearest armchair and sleep. Being fifteen years of age, he isn't too fond of walking, and not having much exercise really isn't a problem for him.
Most of the time you can find him curled up on the rocking chair or even outside on the porch soaking in the rays of sun.
Normally quiet, Toby is very easily spooked and hates loud noises. Name: Mako
Gender: Male
Lives with: Killia
Description: After a few letters too and fro, Emi sent a young jarred Mako to Killia. Mako's got a white fox body, with soft brown sprinkled paws, and a pair of great monochrome wings. Just like Blanche, Mako has a long white tail that spans out over the same length of his body.
Brief Personality: Mako's a rather lively creature, which Killia loves to death. Being Killia's only 'pet', the little mini-grph is spoiled to death: and can be rather possessive of his belongings. However, deep down he's a total softie - and loves nothing more than to curl up in the mouse-furries lap.

Animal Mix: Egyptian vulture / African wild dog
Description: False was the first friend Blanche ever made, and so far deems fit to be called Blanche's best-friend. So far, they've visited the sea together once, found some shinies, and then ended with a good old tussle in the water. However, Blanche hasn't seen False since then - and their house is empty. Will they ever see eachother again?
 Name: Kalarune
Animal Mix: Flamingo / Giraffe
Description: After each had worked out the other wasn't dangerous, Blanche and Kala hit off from day one. Kala stayed with the Pallone's while Progolo took a sick chick to the mainland, and it only fueled the fire that is the ice and fire spellweavers friendship. When together, you'll often find them curled up together.
 Name: Rawiya
Animal Mix: Hyacinth Macaw / Zebra
Description: Oh dear, Rawiya almost scared the life out of Blanche when they first met. The second time happened to be at the point of growth, in which the already nervous Blanche only watched this dramatic Aerandir from afar.
 Name: Faust
Animal Mix: Ptarmigan / Reindeer
Description: Blanche and Faust are neighbours. Despite this, they've not actually met yet. However, Emi and Karma have exchanged letters up to now.
 Name: Oleo
Animal Mix: Hairy Woodpecker / Hotot Rabbit
Description: Oleo's one of Blanche's newest friends, and by gosh is he shiney! Blanche adores playing with him, if only for the fact he's the same shades of black and white as her (forgetting the strip of red on the back of his head). The two played tag together before Oleo got tired. Yet, Blanche still doesn't quite understand his nipping habits.
 Name: Keen
Animal Mix: Cheetah / swallow-tailed kite
Description: Blanche is a little half and half on Keen, after all: she barely knows the gryphon. She wasn't impressed however when Keen decided to tease Oleo for falling into the box - apart from that she seems nice enough.
 Name: Sashen'Ka
Animal Mix: Osprey / Siberian Tiger
Description: Sasha's another gryphon Blanche seemed to click with from day one. After a brief moment of shyness, both of the gryphon's found themselves rolling around on the floor. Sasha's yet another firm friend in Blanche's books.
 Name: Osusuki
Animal Mix: Japanese Crane / Fox
Description: Osu became more of Toby's friend than Blanches, but the Arctic Aerandir still regonises him as a friend. After all, he's another version of her - bar, for some strange reason, he's dyed his fur bright red. Blanche doesn't know why, but she intends to ask him one day.
 Name: Nehanda
Animal Mix: Swan / Horse
Description: Blanche has only ever sighted this Aerandir once when she dropped off three long ribbons for her quest, but despite this Blanche still seems in awe of Nehanda from just a brief glance. Both Foenix and Emi send letters to another every once in a while, in hope that Blanche and Nehanda will eventually meet.

  A present from Emi, this little mouse (affectionately nicknamed Tan) wasn't a huge hit to begin with. However, as time goes on, Blanche has taken a slow liking to Tan; and at her child stage takes him to bed with her everynight.  This little gift came from Progolo, a present from her mentor and teacher for everything magical. To say Blanche adores it would be an understatement. This charm almost all the time can be found somewhere on her, if little else for the comfort that it's frigid to the touch.

 27/11/05 - 04/01/06At the moment she/he is in two seperte jars. One has a white tuft of fur, from what I presume to be an Arctic fox, while the other has a white (tipped with grey) feather inside the jar. Both Charges appear to be 'alive' as such and let off the odd blue sphere of aura.  04/01/06 - 09/01/06After a brief visit from Anthony the two artifacts are now placed into one jar. Both Feather and Fluff still let off the odd aura.  09/01/06 - 10/01/06In a space of only a few moments both Artifacts started to glow vibrantly in their jar. Blanche is going to emerge soon!  10/01/06 - 23/07/06Living and breathing, Blanche truly was a sight to behold: white fur, black beak, black and white speckled wings, that long fluffy tail and (of course, not to forget) the certain affinity with the fridge. Rather apprehensive at first, Blanche quickly cooled down to the way of life, and with her new friendships stayed in this stage until all the items for her growth quest were collected.  23/07/06 - ???

27.11.05 Recieved both Feather and Fluff jars. The feather being from an Arctic Owl, and the fluff being a peice of fur from an Arctic Fox.
27.11.05 Moving out slowly but steadily - Told Killia about the move.
07.12.05 Got on the Ferry to Ar' Idil, and arrived on the Island late that evening.
08.12.05 Started to move into plot number one.
11.12.05 Finally fixed up little Ely's Lantern, and started a letter to Killia.
13.12.05 Recieved two letters - one from FoenixFyre and Nehanda, while the others from Chao and Sanar.
14.12.05 Emi and Toby go for a walk over the grasssy area behind the lodge.
16.12.05 With only eleven days until Christmas the Winter event starts.
16.12.05 Emi and Toby return to a soot covered home after a long day in the lodge.
17.12.05 to the 24.12.05 Emi takes to her instints and has a large 'winter' clean.
30.12.05 New years eve - recieve a video CD from Killia.
03.01.06 Made new year Resolutions
04.01.06 Letter recieved from Anthony Blakewell - artifacts ready to be placed into one jar together.
05.01.06 Took down all the Christmas decorations - aka the tree.

These rules are here for a reason, so if you could please abide by them. If you don't then I'm afraid you might just have a very upset Taley on your back.
1. Please do not post here without permission unless you are Anthony/Alyosha. Even if you are dropping off a gift, I'd prefer it if you drop your gift off via a Private Message.
2. If (And only if you have A-okayed it by me - unless you are Alyosha or Anthony) you do post in this journal, I would be very much obliged if you could please turn off your signature.
3. Please do not Private Message me asking to buy Blanche or Blanche's children. For starters, Blanche is my little baby that I pour my badly abused writing muse into, and I wouldn't sell her under any circumstances. If anything does happen to me suddenly (under some very unlikely circumstances) I'd rather pass her onto somebody I know and trust, or a chosen candidate of Alyosha's choosing.
Secondly, I don't even know if Blanche will be successful in courting a mate. Even if that does happen, any of Blanche's babies will not be going to random strangers who PM me, that I can assure you of.
Plus: She's only a child at the moment!
If you would like your own Aerandir, please go to the main thread and wait for an opportunity to get your own. Customs are still open, so please don't try to lay your hands on mine.
4. Blanche's character is mine. The Aerandir are copyright to Alyosha.
5. All images on these pages are copyright to their respective owners - see the following post for my disclaimer.
