 The Vermilion Gym is the official gym of Vermilion City. It is based on Electric-type Pokémon. You can earn the Thunder Badge here! Lt. Surge "Ten-hut! Welcome to Vermilion Gym! Will you look at that, a pint-size challenger! Hahaha! You've got big and brassy nerves to take me on with your puny power! A Pokémon battle is war! I'll show you civilian! I'll shock you into surrender!"

Lt. Surge's Pokemon:
Voltorb (Lv.21)
Pikachu (Lv.18 )
Raichu (Lv.24)
Defeating Surge Earns you a Thunder Badge Badge, $1500, HM CUT, and HM Fly. Also you may now use the HM Fly.

Raichu Fainted!!
Oddish won her first battle against lvl 24 Raichu!!"Oh wow oddish! you where awesome!" Cadi hugged oddish then grinned looking back to Lt. Surge. "Well it looks like I won, My team IS strong enough to beat you! Even my youngest member beat you!" She grinned widely. Lt Surge seemed to agree and handed over cadi $1500 for winning, AND HM Cut AND the Gym Badge! She was also informed she could now use HM Fly.

I Think I will train Cut to you Dancer.. You've deserved it. Welcome to the main team! Cadi used HM01 CUT and taught HM01 CUT to lvl 16 Oddish!

Neoixan glares at the gym before entering. Wish me luck... Neoixan challenged Lt. Surge. Voltorb and Laxin are sent out. Voltorb - Lv 21Eevee - Level 9 - 20 HP((12 levels difference.)) Laxin won the battle and leveled up.

Raichu, his last pokemon, comes out. Raichu - Lv 24Eevee - Level 10 - 22 HP((14 lv difference)) Laxin prevails and levels up! Neoixan beats the gym leader earning the Thunder Badge, $1500 And HM Cut!! Neoixan teaches Cut to Meowth, temporarily.
