tell me how you would respond, handle, and feel about this situation:
you're in a lunch room cafe, at school. there are lunch ladies every where, and even teachers on duty. suddenly, everyone starts flipping out because some girl saw a mouse. yeah, a mouse. it got trapped, and it was scared to death. some fat girls get up on chairs, and some people start laughing. the mouse scurries quickly to the corner where a large metal box hides it.
now, you've got this boy. he decides to run over there and remove the box. the mouse doesn't like that, so he runs and runs- and bam. the boy stomps it to death. there is blood spattered everywhere. (keep in mind how many diseases these things carry, all the sanitary issues this could bring up.)
the boy then picks up the mouse by the tail, shows it to everyone and starts laughing. there are some cheers, some looks of disgust, and a few people actually crying.
he then takes it over to one of the trashcans, and tosses it.

i just think it says a lot about someone who would do something like that. if it's just a guy being a guy, or a total barbaric caveman mentality, it's screwed up. maybe that's what has become of kids today; desensitized. cruel.

I'd say the 2nd option, since the first and last one are quite insulting.
That's just weird though, mice are cute.

Someone actually did something similar to this at my old school...
It was after a rainy day so the trash cans were flooded half way.
There was a rat, someone picked it up, and threw it in, and left it to drown =O

What school are you going to?! Everyone at my school would do this:
- Find a rat on the floor, Find a snake that fell from the door hinge on a teacher's head, or find a lizard that jumped out of someone's backpack (all true stories)
- Few options: lead it outside, or get a searing knife to kill 'em.
Alternative situation for all: just scoop it up w/ some cardboard shoebox or something similar and toss it far far away in the woods near the school

I think... I'd be the one stomping on the mouse in your story. Or at least picking it up by the tail... no, bad idea, those things have teeth. STOMP IT TO DEATH. >.<

STOMP IT TO DEATH. >.< could i ask you why, you would even bother at all? if it was hiding, and not bothering anyone.. why would you feel the need to kill it? because you're scared of it? why not instead, find an official of the school, and get them to deal with it in a civil manner? confused edit: @ Divine_Malevolence: that's true. group mentality.
