yeah, i know i was shocked too when i found out like 4 seasons ago, but his American accent is really good. When David shore cast him he didn't even realize Hugh Laurie was British and said something like that's what i want a real American guy.

i didnt know that he was on 101 dalmations.Guess i have to watch it again.He does an american accent amazingly though.

Some of my favorite things Hugh Laurie has done are Blackadder and Jeeves and Wooster, also A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Check those out. Shows Hugh's natural accent and they are hilarious to boot.
