Stalking through the bushes like always, Kono was out away from his mom for one of the few rare moments she allowed him to be. Though he could take care of himself, he found her company much more enjoyable than that of others. He got that from his mother. However, he found himself growing bored with no one to talk to, and so began to entertain himself by torturing a squirrel he had pounced upon not two seconds ago.
Holding it by the tail, he lay on his stomach, his free clawed paw holding up his chin, as his claws on his other paw flexed in and out of the critters tail, causing it to squeak.

In one of her rare moments of solitude Usha had curled up in a tree, having already escaped the 'love' of her parents only an hour previously. Honestly she loved them, but it was over whelming and they had no understanding as to the difference in attitude and behavior her sisters and brother received for being, for lack of a better word, different. These little trips away gave her chance to relax without a watchful eye upon her, she was an adult of course, however newly acquired her adult form had been and with it she sought lone time.
The rustle below was her first cause for her body to awake and only after the squeals started did her eyes open lazily and peer about for it's source. Then and only then did she see the Lirogon below, quickly she took note in it's male form, having both a brother and sister made the distinction easy, though she supposed she could be wrong, that was the expect of her wisdom on her own species. Carefully rolling over on the branch she adjusted herself to a better speculation view and sat up, though her paw almost caused her to fall once or twice in doing so.

Hearing a rustling noise over head, Kono cast his gaze upward. His head movement was slight, almost as if he wasn't interested in what was causing it. When his orange eyes rested upon another female like him, and equally as orange, only then did he straighten up. "Well, hello there." he said in a gentle tone, his tail fluff flicking behind him. He drew the squirrel closer into his claws, so that most of its body was trapped beneath a paw.
Tilting his head, he adjusted his tiny black wings. She looked older than him, and slightly curious to see another being. With a slight grin, he shut his eyes in a slow blink before opening them again. "See something you like?"

Having not been awake long enough to fully process the information she blinked down at him and his form several times before what he was saying registered, she wasn't this slow normally but beauty sleep was essential to females apparently. As it hit her she smiled curiously "Hi!" Instinctively her eyes closed briefly to reinforce her smile and upon re-opening followed his movement of the last adjustment to the squirrel. She hadn't thought of squirrels for that use before, she usually just chased them when back home but he did make it look like toying with them further was good fun.
As he adjusted his wings she copied though her's where larger by a noticeable amount and caused a slight breeze, enough to threaten to unbalance her. Lucky again she regained her stance on the branch and acted as if nothing had ever happened but did hear his most recent words and peering about again her smile never faltered "I do! Though I might still be sleepy... What are you doing to that squirrel?" She looked more curious than angry and genuinely interested.

Kono's fur was ruffled by the breeze from her wings, but he didn't let it bother him. He just shut his eyes and waited till it was over. When she asked about the squirrel, he let it loose from his paws, only to capture it by the tail before it could fully escape. "Well... I thought I was hungry, but now I'm rather simply...bored." he said, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He dug his claws into the bushy tail fur, and drug the squirming squirrel backwards, his claws never lifting from the dirt. Closing them around the tail, he lifted the creature, along with a paw full of dirt, and held it before his nose. He watched it squirm more before he decided that he was bored of that too, and used his other paw to slit its throat.

"Oh." Was her simply response, it didn't sound disappointed nor over elated, merely a simple understanding of his words. Leaning her head forward she tried to catch it's scent and caught nothing until he had slit it's throat and though her eyes almost bulged out of her head in shock and surprise at the brutal act her nose invited her to investigate. Ear tufts caught the slight breeze at the smell of freshly drawn blood caught her strongly that at first and she couldn't resist but shift her weight forward and allow her wings to glide down in the breeze landing delicately on the dirt. Yes she'd practiced that. Daring to get closer she ignored the male and inched forward and smelt the squirrel corpse taking in the new senses rushing through her.
Of course her family had hunted to feed each other but it was always quick and eat, this simply display of violence both scared and elated her. All she wanted to do was bat it out of his hands and have a good sniff, licking at the blood and testing if it tasted any different from normal kills though she never would act so out right in front of a stranger, would she? A rumbling in her stomach roused her from her thoughts, obviously the scent brought more than mere feelings from the surface as she managed to take a step back, keeping her eyes on the swinging corpse.

Kono couldn't help but chuckle a little. He had been far too the same when he was younger and his mother had done the same to him. Smiling, he held the squirrel closer to her. "Like it?" he asked curiously, his eyes running up and down the squirrel a few times, watching the blood drip methodically down to the dirt.
A shiver ran down his spine as he fought off his inner demon's blood lust, and tossed the lifeless critter down at her paws. Curling his tail about his own, he folded his wings against his back. Now that she was down on the ground, he had a feel for her size. She was still larger than him, but he wasn't exactly small either. "If you want it, take it." he stated, watching her with extreme interest as he brought a paw forward to slowly lick the blood from his claws.

"I think so..." How strange that she had just met this male and already, though he was obviously younger, he was showing her things she'd never seen and causing her to experience things she was not use to. Usha had come to accept that her family life was rather sheltered and that many of lifes problems where very HushHush swept under the carpet, but why... why would something that made her feel this good just watching be hid away?
Similarly her eyes where trailing the blood sliding down the corpses body and dripped off down to the dirt, his shiver and the toss to her feet broke her free as she blinked to regain her surroundings. Flexing her wings she looked to him with a puzzled and confused look "Isn't it rude? I... Well I don't even know your name let alone who you are and it is kinda yours." Flicking her glance between the bloodied corpse at her feet and him she decided not to look back till she had an A-ok lest she give into the strange temptation that just told her to lick the thing clean and then enjoy it's meaty substance, so she merely kept her gaze on him till she had his answer.

Kono's smile faded and his head tilted slightly. "I have it to you, take it before I change my mind." he said, his tone rather adult like and blunt for a small cub. "I can always catch another, and as I said, I am no longer hungry."
He watched the strange female curiously. She was different than him, he could tell that right away. And he didn't mean because of her markings or her age. She was more sheltered. Protected if you will. She obviously had not been introduced to the finer things in life like his mother had done with his sister, his brothers, and he. Flicking his paw of one last blood drop, he let his eyes wander down to the droplets that had now soaked into the dirt. "Kono." he said simply. ".. is my name."

As soon as he spoke she blinked and furrowed her brows, scowling at the sudden change, though it was in keeping with the tense and low vibe she got from it all it was still alarming. He had to be younger than her... her brother of the same age had quickly out grown her and choosing to ignore the blunt tone she let her eyes wander back the squirrel. "If your sure." Shrugging she gave into her instincts and leaned down sniffing briefly before lingering her tongue over the first patch of drying blood. It wasn't long after then she'd quickly lapped up every drop the lifeless thing had to offer her and began ripping at the flesh. The feeling was amplified by actually indulging in it, telling herself that this was obviously nature otherwise why would someone younger than herself be doing it?
After several rips, chews and swallows she let out a relieved sigh as the intensity seemed to drain from her. Much like a come down to something she had never before experienced leaving her standing with a carcass at her feet and a boy, Kono, in the scene. "Thank you... Kono, I'm Usha and" She fought a blush, she couldn't remember the last time she had been embarrassed and though she told herself she shouldn't the flush still surfaced. "That was... uhm... wow different..." she had always been considered different, so why should she not indulge in things that where different from what her mother and father had let her see and believe? They couldn't understand and she was starting to see that if she wanted to learn more about herself and her species she'd have to seek out others like herself, like this boy, Kono... She was going to remember that.

Kono chuckled softly as she gulped down the squirrel and immediately felt embarrassed afterwords. "Don't." he stated simply, referring to her nervousness, and her embarrassment. "It is completely natural. Tell me... Usha is it? Tell me about your family." he asked curiously. He knew his own family well, his demon mother, his demon father and his siblings. Weather or not they shared the same blood lust and demons as he and his parents did, he wasn't sure. But then again, he didn't really care either. However, to him, others not inhabited by a blood thirsty monster deep inside them interested him greatly.

Nodding she took a step away from the carcass now attracting other smaller and bug like creatures to it. Searching the floor she could see no way or no want not to peer and get closer to the boy "I thought, I mean.. It feels natural but nothing like hunting to eat. Hmm." She was still on the last strands of the come down form such a euphoric feeling as she padded closer and came to a stop to his side. "Yes..." Her tone was quiet, did his name mean half as much as his now held for merely showing her such a feeling? Usha doubted it but his inquiry about her family stirred her confidence, he was showing interest in her? That alone was a step more than most others had and no insults.. or teasing... something inside her felt comfortable now as she began to speak.
"Well... My father is a Lion, My mother a dragon. I have a brother and a sister both like me, the Hybrids?" She looked at him for confirmation for using the right word for their species. "My parents don't really understand, they are loving and a secure home but.." She trailed off, she really didn't want to make her family sound bad and they weren't necessarily just a little simple which she regarded to herself sadly.

Kono took a stabbing guess at what she was about to say. "Plain? Dull? Simple perhaps?" he questioned, hoping it not to sound rude. "Your family is the opposite of mine. My mother is a lioness, and my father a dragon. And I do believe were called Lirogons." he mentioned again, answering her question about hybrids. Though a small smile tugged at the corners of his jaws. "Although... I'm not sure what one would call my family and myself.... seeing as we all house.....something....deep inside us." he said, grinning.
Before when he was younger, he was scared of his tendencies to turn crazed at the sight of blood. He wanted answers and comfort. But as he slowly grew, he grew used to the feeling. Even more so when his mother told him that she was the same as he, as well as his father. "You might consider yourself lucky. It sounds like your family is far more normal than mine..... but then again. I have come across some strange lions on this Isle so maybe "normal" doesn't quite exist here...." he trailed off on one of his long spoken thought processes.

Nodding to his questioned words which where actually fillers to finish her own sentence she acknowledged them as good choices. "Lirogon..." She almost whispered to herself, she'd heard that before but never taken it seriously. Before it had come from nasty little haters mouths whom didn't understand she was a nature creation just like them. Or was she? She'd been brought up to believe she was but maybe things other than looks where also different she'd just not delved far enough into herself to find out.
"Something?" She questioned genuinely curious and interested in this something and his family, she wanted to see what differences their two family's held. Normal... she pondered that, nothing ever seemed normal in her world. "Hmm I suppose.. but I'd kill for more understanding..." She was only half joking about that, this blood lust thing sounded fun, it certainly had been a fun feeling to pass through. "I don't think anything that produces us, the freak of natures, can be considered normal around these parts of the isle though.." She trailed off remembering a conversation with the first of her kind outside her siblings she'd met. The older female had conveyed a past where the Lirogon, yes that was the right term now wasn't it?, had come from a patch of the isle where Lirogons was the normal. A place where their origins had long been forgotten... Usha often dreamt of things like that but never considered it a reality. "Do you have siblings?" She was keen to ask, this boy obviously got a lot more freedom then she had, non of her senses said they where being watched and one of her parents would always come with them or hide and watch over them in the background.

Kono listened to her, not yet sure he wanted to reveal what was deep inside him. He normally wouldn't have a problem, but something was different about her. She seemed so pure and innocent, yet there was that will to learn. Skipping to her next statement for the time being, he eyed her curiously. "Freaks of nature? Do you simply mean because we are a cross between two breeds?" he asked her, never before have considered himself or his siblings freaks. His parent's sure didn't act that way, nor had anyone else he came across. They all treated him normal....whatever normal was. "I don't consider myself a freak. Nor do I consider my siblings. And yes. Two younger brothers and one younger sister." he said, his gaze steady and unchanging. "And inside us, lurk demons." he added, waiting to see her reaction.
