 Vanya knew she wasn't supposed to travel to the edge of the pride. Her mother, her family, the other members of the pride... just about everyone had warned her against the idea of going further out into demon territory... But she could feel it, like a whispering voice in her hear. Something that told her she belonged there in the dark.
And she denied it, of course. Told it to go away, go screw itself, that she would be no part of whatever dark scheme it wanted her for. But it never really went away. No matter how many times she begged it to go away... it wouldn't leave her.
So she did everything she could to be the opposite of what it wanted for her. But even still... she couldn't help but look out at the demon pride and wonder the same thing she always did: Is that where I really belong?
No. No she didn't want to be there. Not with them. She wanted them gone... to leave her alone, once and for all. She didn't want people to get hurt when they didn't deserve it. And that was everything the demons stood for.

 A brown cub accented with glowy blue markings had some how ended up in demon hunting territory. A vulture had apparently given him the WRONG directions back home. Now he was pacing through unknown areas.
Maybe the vulture had been confused? Maybe that was why he was laughing so hard when he was giving the directions. Moyo could forgive that.
The little brown cub spotted a dot of red up a head. With out much thought, Moyo trotted on over in that direction.
"Hello?" He called out to the dot of red. Slowly the dot turned into a lion. Scratch that, lioness. About his age too. The little lost naive cubs pace quickened.

Vanya turned as fast as she could and let out a deep sigh of relief when she realized that the one coming up to her was most certainly not a demon. Good. Because she'd hate to have to get all... killy killy die die on them. Did that even mean something? She couldn't remember. Someone had said it to her in passing and she now realized it seemed a little redundant.
"Erm... hi there." She mentioned, tilting her head and standing up. He wasn't a demon-hunter either... she didn't know him at all. Boy oh boy was he ever in the wrong place. "What are you doing here? Don't you know it's dangerous?"

Moyo felt his heart drop about a thousand feet when she said that this place was dangerous. If he had known that , then he would have not listened to those, now obviously, bad directions. The vulture must have had such a good laugh he mixed up the way back home. Yeah, that was the reason he got bad directions.
"Um..." He felt him self with draw his head into his shoulders into a shrug like move. "N-no. I .. I'm actually pretty lost... " The cub gave a sigh and looked at his feet.
No way he was going to admit he took directions from a vulture. Come to think of it... That vulture had circled him for a good while as he went this direction.

"Um... kay." The girl said, raising an eyebrow. How could someone possibly get lost in that area and not die? The boy sure must have had the Gods looking out for him anyway, because he had run into the demon hunters first and not the actual demons.
"Well... I'm Vanya, and you're on demon-hunter territory." She looked over her shoulder in the direction he had been headed, "And that over there... would be demon territory. So you see... if they had caught you they would have kidnapped you or killed you and all that. Which you know... ew."
She tilted her head a little, smiling at him, "Good thing you ran into me first. Otherwise you would have walked straight into them, and that wouldn't have been any good for you, right? Where's home? Maybe I can point you in the right direction. My mom travels a lot, so I might know the right way for you."

Moyo raised a brow in disbelief. The small cub had thought something felt off about those lands but hadn't been able to put his small paw on it. Still, what a demon was he wasn't quite sure, the same was true for demon hunters, other then the fact that they hunted demons. Though this word demons still wasnt clear.
To avoid sounding like a simple minded fool, Moyo opted to keep his trap shut about all that.
"H-home... umm.. If I knew where that was I wouldn't well be lost..... " He chewed his lip for a moment. "I think I remember seeing some long body of water.." He looked up at her with his lilac eyes. Quickly he looked back down at his paws, ashamed.

Vanya looked thoughtful, tilting her head a little, "A long body of water... I think I know where that might be. Come with me." She said, nodding her head before she turned around and headed back towards the pride. It couldn't hurt to let him know sort of the right direction, which was certainly not the one he had been going in.
"I'm pretty sure it's too the west from here... but the Ardhi might know, she's pretty good about finding her way around from here. Better than I am anyway." Which wasn't saying much, as Vanya was fairly young, all things considered.
"Why did you wander so far from home Moyo?" She asked, tilting her head back to look at him.

Moyo grinned at the question quite proudly, "I was gonna find a rare stone to bring back home to my sister. It was gonna be a surprise. " He trotted beside her like a happy little bouncy thing.
"I mean, she's my step sister , but a sisters a sister I say, " He beamed at the lioness cub as the two trotted along. She seemed nice enough, "So are we gonna see this Ardahi person?"
The young cub really was a far aways from home. It was lucky he had been found by a demon hunter, but the cub didn't know just how lucky he really was. What a demon was were still pretty beyond him, as were demon hunters. In the end he was a mixed up little bouncy thing of fluff.

"The Ardhi is... well, she's one of the people in charge." And Vanya's mother had told her that she could always trust the Ardhi, no matter what happened. If she had a problem and her mother wasn't there, she should see Xinavane. "Or at least in charge of the place we live. Her boss is in charge of the pride."
Vanya smiled a little, "I have brothers and sisters here too. I'm sure that they'd like gifts... but I'm way too lazy to get some for them." She laughed a little. She couldn't help having better things to do with her time!

Moyo tilted his head, to lazy?
"But your a demon hunter.. That doesn't strike me as lazy," The cub gave her a nod of his head, "You must be really brave."

"I..." Vanya paused a moment, "Well, okay, I'm maybe not so lazy or anything... it's more like that I just... I have to concentrate on some things sometimes. And because of that I don't always have time to go and do things that I'm supposed to do... so some people call me lazy sometimes, is all."
She didn't like to think she was actually lazy... but she would meditate for hours sometimes, trying to keep the thing inside her surpressed. She didn't want anything to do with it. But if it was going to get in the way of her life... then she had to control the thing that was ruining her life as well.
