 The stench of blood hung heavy in the air. At its source stood a lone black figure, greedily tearing chunks of flesh out of a now dead wolf. The fight with the prey had been trying, but the meaty reward was well-worth it. The mare swallowed down another chunk of meat before pausing for a moment to lick the blood from her pointed beak and take a look around. Golden eyes scouted the area to make sure there were no other scavengers or predators around who might try to take her prey for themselves. Satisfied that area still appeared to be secure, she grabbed the carcass again with a taloned foot and continued her feast, wings rustling contently on her back. It was a rare thing to have found a wolf that was separated from its pack, and she wasn't about to let this treasure go to waste.

(( WIP Zakiax/Zephar Mainly just posting this because this is what he looks like. Zephars colors though are inversed of Zaks.)) The sweet scent of blood reached the deep red kirins nostrils. Flaring them a bit a small shiver of pleasure ran down his spine. His head darted his coal black eyes searching, where was this lovely scent coming from. Zephar's dragonic wings shifted on his back, he was getting a bit antsy. "Where?" He questioned the air taking in another deep breath trying to pin point the location of this alluring scent.
"Where?" He questioned once again this time with a small growl. His scaled tail flicked back and forth as continued his search, with a large bound his wings snapped open as he took to skies, it would be easier to 'hunt' for this smell from above.

Without warning, a shiver ran down Keela's back and the mare was instantly on high-alert. Danger, her instincts warned her as she cast her gaze about her once more. But where? And from what? Were there other wolves nearby coming to avenge their fallen comrade? No, she didn't smell any, and this didn't feel like just a regular predator. Damn it, can't I just enjoy a good meal? she thought to herself irritably, her wings rising partially off of her back in agitation.
A strange shadow caught her eye, and looking up she immediately spotted the flying stallion. Ah s**t... If he's after my meal then he's gunna be in for it. Her wings rose up a bit higher, and she let out a warning hiss to tell the other to keep away. She had worked hard for this kill and wasn't about to just let some stranger take it.

The dragonic Kirin landed in front of the female over her meal, completely ignoring her warning. Really like something as insignificant as a warning would ward off the blood obsessed kirin. "Mind sharing your meal with me." Yet he didn't pose it as a question, more as a statement. With the scent being as thick as it was, Zephar began to lose himself with in it.

Golden eyes narrowed, and the raven mare hissed again, standing protectively over her meal. "Go find your own kill," she said aggressively, not budging despite the other's fearsome appearance. "Should be easy enough for one such as yourself." This mare was intimidated by no one, and that wasn't about to change anytime soon. Especially not by this half-size punk before her.

"Aye that may be true," he replied with a small smirk, "But its much more fun to take a kill from another then to go kill myself." his scaled snake-like tail flicked behind him in amusement in a very dangerous fashion. His large bat-like wings folded on his back, his coal black eyes staring deep into her golden ones. It was apparent now that if she wasn't going to give it up he would fight her for it.

"Obviously then you don't know the meaning of the word 'fun'," she retorted. "The thrill of the hunt is far better than playing as a simle-minded scavenger." Keela's wings remained raised threateningly on her back, and even her tail feathers fanned themselves out. Although really this show of intimidation was a bit pointless, for it was obvious that the small stallion was looking for a fight. Still, if such a thing could be avoided then that would definitely be preferable.

Zephar chuckled. "Really now, then I must assume you haven't had a good fight over a good meal," A sly grin appeared on his face, he always loved the thrill of fighting, oh how did it make his blood boil. His tail continued to lash behind him

"Why bother fighting over a meal when I can instead fight with the meal?" she replied smugly, wings settling back down on her back. "Fine, you want a fight? I'll give you a fight!" With that she lunged straight at the male, talons first. She'd rip him to shreds given the opportunity.

A light hiss escaped Zephar as he was hit with the attack a bit to slow to dodge the females talons. Blood dripped from the wound the talons had made, yet it didn't seem to bother him at all. In fact the smell of his own blood excited him even more. "Good," he replied back his grin widening, "I'm always looking for a good fight," He then lunged at the female, aiming to headbutt her.

Keela dodged to the side, his attack barely even managing to graze her. "Too slow," the raven mare teased, a wicked glint in her eyes as she moved to spear him in the side with her horn. The stallion had better learn to move faster if he wanted to avoid some serious injury.

Even though it was only her second attack Zephar had gotten her speed down, dodging her horn with ease. "Seems like your the one who is too slow," He shot back. As he spoke he moved to ram his body into hers.

He was successful in hitting her, but for whatever reason the force was not that strong. It may have helped that she moved to the side a bit in an attempt to dodge. "Maybe," she replied. "But we all have our moments." Taking advantage of the fact that he was so close, Keela aimed a peck square at his head.

"Truly spoken," he replied back attempting to doge her peck to his head but he wasn't quick enough to with draw his head from the attack. The point of her beak lightly hitting him. Shaking his head with a small scowl, Zephar's legs kicked out at Keela. No one got away with attacking his face!

A small grunt escaped her as his hooves made contact with her. He may have been a small stallion, but he still had some strength in him. A bit irritated by his blow, Keela gathered up her body weight and threw herself against him, hoping to knock him off balance as well as do some damage.
