Inzi was on her own. Well, not exactly. This was harder than one might think when one had three parents, and five siblings, but when her fathers had brought her out into th desert, she had hoped to maybe at least get to the top of a dune alone. Which she had managed, but she was certain that at any second, Ilori could come and scoop her up, with some kicking and screaming, back to the temple. She couldn't help that very few of her family members could keep up with her, except maybe Aja, and her "aunt" was always busy doing her duties... Even her grandparents and uncle didn't have time for her! So lame. Even outside, her parents had to split their time between all their children... and it was a big family. So she was allowed to play in the sand as long as she didn't go far.
But frankly, the adventures that Moto'Inzi had by herself were usually just as exciting as spending time with her giant family. Even in the temple, she had gone everywhere one could without getting into trouble. After all, she tended to change her mind about what she wanted to do so often that she gave them all mood-whiplash... this way, she could just make it up as she went along!
And right now, as she played in the desert, the little lioness was playing the part of an adventurer on a grand journey into the dreaded vulture hide-away... To retrieve gold! Or... not gold... that was shiny, but not useful. Maybe save a princess! Sure! That sounded better!
"DIE VULTURE SCUM! I shall save the princess!"

He wasn't very fond of the desert. It was too much too hot, and too dry. When compared to the long grass and tasty watering holes of the savannah, the desert came up severely lacking. Naeem wasn't sure how he'd wandered so far across the sand unchecked, but, after chalking it up to the consequence of his day dreams, was carefully retracing his path back home. The young lion paused; ears twitching at a declaration of revenge, and a grin brightened up his face as his imagination exploded into overdrive. He couldn't see any vultures, but that didn't mean they weren't there. He didn't know of any desert princesses, but that didn't mean they weren't true. His eyes lit on the source of the noise, and Naeem's heart did a little flip in his chest. A lady in the shape of a hero! "Yes, vulture scum," he cried loudly, and sidled up to the other youth, "prepare to meet your end!"

BOOM. Three second flat was all Inzi needed to get from the top of the dune she had been sitting on, to get right to the other lion's side as she ran full-speed, sand flying in every possible direction, straight in front of the purple boy. Her dark eyes practically glowed as she looked up at him, thrilled.
"YOU FAIR SIR!" She said loudly, not even needing to catch her breath. She was used to running around and doing things, and she was young... though her fathers still seemed amazed by her feats of pure will when it came to anything physical. She couldn't help it. She was a girl who liked to move!
"Can you help me rescue the desert princess from the evil vultures? T'would be much appreciated." Inzi said, grinning without even a trace of fear on her face. "I am the Guardian Moto'Inzi, Firefly of the Egyptian Gate! At your service!"

Inzi's passionate declarations made his eyes light up. She was a guardian! And a Firefly of the Egyptian Gate! Naeem didn't have the slightest clue what she meant by any of it, but it sure sounded prestigious. She had also called him fair and a sir, things he suspected might not actually be true, but oh well. This little lady hero was, clearly, a very important person. Who was he to question her?
"Of course I can help you!" Naeem exclaimed proudly, head held high. "I am Naeem, and I'm on a quest for the lady of my heart. I saw her in my head, but I do not know where to find her."
He waited a heartbeat, mindful of the princess they had yet to save, but couldn't resist asking.
"Are you her; my dream girl?"

Inzi listened a moment, tilting her head before she grinned, "Oh! Could you have heard me calling out in my dreams to you? That was me, it was!" She smiled at him, bouncing up and down happily, "I didn't know it was me, but I must have been!" She said with a decisive nod.
"I am glad to meet you Naeem and glad that you got my message!" What the message was, she had no clue, but hey, she was totally willing to run with it! After all, it was all fun and games! She could run with anything that anyone threw at her, and was proud of it for that matter!
She turned around, running towards the sand dune, "Come with me! We can't go too far though... my fellow guardians must remain close so that they can give us backup if they have to!" That, and if she went too far out of her father's sight, he would call the whole pride down on her...
And what fun would that be, really?
