Saturday, September 19th, is National Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Now, as you may or may not be aware, I LOVE doing pirate stuff. We've had several official (and unofficial) pirate gatherings in the z!CB before. I love Pirates of the Caribbean. ******** it, I even have a 3x5ft PIRATE FLAG hanging in my dorm room.

Needless to say, I am very, very, very excited about this.

While you are never forced to wear anything during an event, it'd be really great if you made an effort to dress up. For those of you who have Captain Ara's Nestegg, it would be great if we could have one or two parrots around and maybe someone holding a pirate flag.

The pirate party will take place at 9PM EST tonight! We'll be meeting up in Gold Beach and perhaps we'll raid Barton Town! The server is Anchor Bug.

The treasure hunting contest will take place at 11PM EST for all you night-owls. I apologize to those who are going to miss it. I'm going to try and find an event to do at an earlier time in the future - like 11AM-1PM or thereabouts.

Even if you can't attend either event, there's the Avatar Contest for you to check out.

You know I'm in - wave that pirate pride! (Lol, I have a 3x5 flag hanging right above my bed. xD) As far as I know nothing's going on that weekend, so any time's good for me.

As for tektek ideas:

Naturally, we have the Pirate set from the original BaB merch:
< All for about 20g. biggrin

< . . .I don't like how the designated pirate pants look with the designated pirate vest, so this one's about 10k 'cause of the pants (but you can use any pants, really - I just like the GM uniform bottoms).

< That one's around 54k, but that's only 'cause of Raider Shih's garment.

< If you take out the parrot (Captain Ara's), it's around 11.5k.



Of course, all of these can have random pretty shinies added, too. =D
