After meeting Ari, Tisha had rushed back with the small carcas in her mouth until she stumbled upon her son, rushing him to quickly eat the food before she told them they were going for a trip.

"Honey..." She remembered telling him, "...Mommy is taking you on a trip to the south, and it might take awhile, but there is supose to be lost of animals to hunt..." Her voice was soft as she remembered, and before he could answer she was nudging him like a small child, a grin cracking her features as her tail was moving quickly back and forth. When they arrived to where she caught her hunt, she was not happy to see her guild missing, but remembered the directions as she told her son to sniff out the lioness' scent, letting him try to lead as she walked quietly behind them, stopping as soon as the forest came into view. Heart hammering in her chest, she pulled Tafari close as her eyes and nose searched for the elder lioness, nervousness suddenly setting in for the first time since she could remember.

Ari had emerged from the forest, stretching as her saphire eyes searched the area. Soon enough, the form of an adolescent and a young cub came into view. The charcoal lioness couldn't help but smile. The little boy was so cute! But all little cubs were. Hell, even Denahi had the little baby face when he was younger.

Speaking of Denahi, the little bugger made his appearance following his mom. "You ditch us to sit her waiting for someone? Some mother.." Denahi growled slightly, causing Ari to flinch a bit. Her sons words hurt...But she would learn to ignore them. "Who are they. A bunch of filthy rogues?" Who was he to talk?! He WAS a rogue!

Tafari sniffed the air with his eyes closed, opening them to look around every some odd feet; a bad habit to be picking up at such a young age. Why did he have to find some random lioness. It wasn't as though he'd seen many lions himself... Oh, perhaps that's why he had to follow her scent instead of just searching for them. He glanced over his shoulder to make sure his mother was still following. Okay, he must be going in the right direction then.

He continued on, sniffing the air, eyes shut tight, until a sudden coolness swept over him. He opened his eyes and looked up at the shadow-casting trees in front of them and frowned. What was a bunch of trees doing together like that? And if they were going to a place with lots of animals, wouldn't it be easier to see them all if the trees weren't there?

"Mother," he let out a small whine as she pulled him to her. What was she doing? The young cub suddenly caught a glimpse of something near the edge of the forest. It seemed to be two other lions. At least that was what he assumed since they looked sort of like his mother. "Who are they?" he asked, flexing his little claws, preparing to defend his mother if needed. Why he did so, even the young cub didn't know. But something about these new lions didn't really settle well with him.

Ignoring the whine for now, Tisha smiled warmly as she caught sight of Ari, already feeling her blood pump with anticipation. Nudging her son once more, she just shook her head at his question, walking slowly ahead as she motioned for him to follow, nearing the others while her bi-colored eyes glanced towards Denahi.

"Ari..." She said softly in greeting, studying the younger cub silently as she felt a strange ward around him, as if he didn't want to be there and didn't want to see them. Finding that a little unsettling, she just tried to push it aside as she waited for her son to get by her paws, "This is Tafari, my son." Her young, soft features just seemed to warm as she looked to him, her heart swelling with pride while she looked over his markings once more, reminding her of his father, "...Tafari, this is Ari, the lioness that I met earlier...and her..." dare she say son, she was unsure, and just waited for the elder lioness to take the lead.

"Tisha.." She smiled as teh sight of the younger lioness. "I'm glad you could find this place, I take it you had no problems getting here?" She asked, her blue eyes glancing at little Tafari. "It's a pleasure to meet you," She said to the little white cub, before looking back at Tisha. "son." She finished, smiling once more. "This is my son, Denahi." The charcoal lioness peeked at her son, who was eyeing the small male with a small sneer. "Please, don't mind him." Ari rolled her eyes.

Denahi snorted. "I can speak for myself, you know that right?" He almost hissed, but restrained himself. "What're you doing here?" He asked, since his mother didn't answer.

The cub watched the two new lions nervously. They were much bigger closer up. The bigger looking lioness looked down at him, causing the young cub to quickly drop his head and stare at some interesting blade of grass next to him. it was kind of weird having his mother introduce him to the other two.

Tafari looked up as the male as he spoke, finding himself crack a grin. This lion was kinda funny. But apparently only he thought so, for his mother didn't laugh. Maybe he should just remain silent, he didn't know what to say to older, bigger lions.

Shifting lightly, Tisha just blinked to the younger lion, before she glanced towards the trees. She did not explain it very well to Tafari, so she decided maybe it would be easier to say it for both of them to hear. Swallowing slightly, she hoped she wasn't overstepping any boundries as she said the words softly.

"I ran into your mother earlier today to hear about your pride, and I could not help but feel compelled to come down and see about this place...The woods were always a part of my childhood, so you could say they called to me..." Speaking in a light, airy tone, she felt the winds play with her fur as she looked to Denahi, trying to catch his eye, "Would it be alright if we thought about joining the pride?" It was in no means a mocking question, nor did is lack any respect, it was just one up in the air, since she figured he probably would like to have a part in the choice, since he was there.

The chocolate rimmed eyes blinked as Tisha explained the whole story. He snorted once more, glaring at his mother. "You lied to me. To us! Wait until I tell father!" He smirked. He glanced down at Tafari once more. "And what are you grinning about, cub?!" When the lion bowed his head to stare at the grass, Denahi flashed his smirk once more. "Thats more like it," He muttered, failing to notice teh dual colored eyes just yet. "Are you of any use to the pride?" What pride, was the question that rang through his mind. His mother wanted to /visit/ this land. not stay. Unless...Thats why he outbursted earlier.

Ari quirked a feline eyebrow. Lied? No...Not really. They were visiting the pride, but Ari did mention her staying if her heart willed her to do so. And whatever the young prince replied to Tisha's question, she was ready to counter it.

Tafari glowered back up at the male. Who did he think they were? Mother could do anything! He had no idea what they were talking about, but he knew that they both would be of use to... whatever it is they were trying to join. "Of course we'll be of use!" he finally said, staring up at the lion as he tried to control the nervous shaking in his legs, "Mother is really good at hunting! And I'm learning how to follow stuff by its smell, so we can both help." Or something like that. He still didn't get the idea of living in a bunch of trees, but if it was what his mother wanted, then he wanted it too.

Blinking in surprise at the mouth Ari's son had, Tisha hid her annouance as she thought over the question. About to answer, she was suddenly interrupted her Tafari took control, and she just blinked as he spoke, chuckling soon after.

"What he means is that, what are you looking for in a pride member, because I am sure we can fufill the spot." Turning to Ari, she sent an apoligetic gaze as she felt bad for starting a conversation with Denahi, and she just moved a step closer to her son, "But alas, we are not a part of a pride, we are only here to look at the lands, and search to see if family is in these borders..."

"You can't just be good at hunting boy. You'll have to know how to fight off strangers who come into the lands without your permission," He growled lightly, watching Tafari through those deep blue eyes. "Then you may look, but if you decide to stay, then there must be a task you complete." He told Tisha, acting as if he were the boss of the 'newly' founded lands. With that said, Denahi began moving back into the forest as to retrace his steps to the mainland.

"I apologize for Denahi." Ari started, once she felt her son was way out of hearing range. "He...hasn't settled yet. There is no task, as he puts it, so don't let his words confuse you." She sighed. Her son was a nuissance, that was for sure. "Come, shall I show you the lands?" She asked, regaining her composture. "The forest is only the beginning to our lands. We have many a sight to see."

The cub glowered after the retreating older lion. Well, there was one thing to do then, right? Tafari would have to prove himself to Denahi and whoever else he had to in order to be allowed to stay. If his mother wanted to stay in this foresty area, then who was he to complain?

"I'll do it," he said, looking up at the two lionesses, having completely missed the memo that there was not anything they actually had to do, "I'll do the task," he said insistantly, gazing up at his mother with his mismatched blue and white eyes. How hard could it be? There surely wasn't anything too difficult! "Are we following Denahi? Come on! I'll lead," the cub said with a nod, closing his eyes and sniffing the air for where Denahi had gone to, ready to prove that he was of use to the pride... thing... whatever it was called.

Watching Denahi with an even smile, she just nodded as if sure that his answer was correct and almost cracked into laughter at his mentioning of a task. When he fully left into the woods, she turned towards Ari, having controled her childish outburst as she still felt like a small cub at that moment. She almost saw herself in Denahi, though not as agressive but still as cold and calculating.

"It is quite alright, we all have our prideful ones, and I must say, he seems like he is full of enough pride to share with a dozen lions. Though he is cute, demands a lot of respect." Leaving it at that, she just nodded at the comment of the task, and moved to follow when Tafari spoke up.

"Honey..." She whispered softly when he suddenly said he wanted to do the task, but was silenced at his gaze, as if he was sure he could do anything, even in his only weeks of life, "...Tafari..." Seeing him stand, she heard him call the lead and just chuckled, he was so proud himself of his abilities of sniffing out scents, though not as good as an adult, she could already tell he enjoyed his pratice. Glancing back to Ari, she felt embarrasment rise at the fact that they were about to go stomping after Denahi, but who was she to say no to her son? Seeing him start to head towards the woods, she moved slightly closer to Ari.

"He just learned how to catch scents, though not from far away, but I am sure he will follow Denahi's as soon as he finds it...Im sorry if we are out of line..." She bowed her head lightly in respect, eyes turning to train on her son's form.

Ari nodded. Denahi did demand a lot of respect. He was what would soon be a tyrant, if he kept it up though. No matter how much respect he recieved, he would want more, then walk all over those who gave it to him.

The lioness couldn't help but chuckle at the other's sons....eagerness to lead? She turned towards Tisha once more, keeping an ear on the white male. "I see." She smiled. "He'll be a good hunter if he can catch on scents quickly, me thinks." A quick shake of the head. "You aren't out of line. Don't think that." Another grin before a frown. "Follow...Denahi? Oh boy." Heh, did Ari just say that? Yes. "Well...maybe a younger cub would cool him off a bit?" She thought out loud, mainly talking to herself. She just prayed, the charcoal male would...have a heart and not hurt the white cub.

"Best make sure your son follows the scent correctly." She changed the subject quickly, allowing the ivory female to go before her.
