I posted in this thread, having no intension of name calling anyone, and yet the person still swore at me, then some mod in the thread said I wasn't playing 'nice'

That was just bad luck. You were trying to better the mood, but the guy had had bad experiences with people approaching his name, and then more bad luck when everyone only saw it his way. It's bound to happen. And yea.. your the nicest person I know. Your so determined to make it up to him your giving him a cash gift and you poured your heart out in apology. Don feel bad, just shows how great of a person you are. ^.^

Though I believe you went a little overboard with the apologies, what happened is merely a difference of perspective. From your perspective, you thought it would be funny while from his, it is not. I do have to agree with him though, when I read it, it didn't come off as a joke to me. It looked more like you were just questioning him about it. Maybe if you worded it differently...(not trying to put you on the spot or anything, just helping you understand his perspective possibly)
Like I said, merely difference in perspective. You are a kind girl, I wouldn't let it get to you.

Being a curious person myself I didn't see anything rude at all about your posts. But I must agree with Zanbashi, you did kinda go too far with the apologies. But you are a sweet person with only the best wishes for others and so I can see why you tried so hard to get him to understand and forgive. I also noticed that he changed his name from 'liquid dirt'. I guess he was just getting tired of some of the true rude people in Gaia and you came along at the wrong time. I'm sorry for that incident hun. *huggles*
