 At this Ground and Rock themed Gym you can Battle the trainer Brock for the Boulder Badge!  Brock I'm Brock! I'm Pewter's Gym Leader! I believe in rock hard defense and determination! That's why my Pokémon are all the Rock-type! Do you still want to challenge me? Fine then! Show me your best!

Onix (level 14)
Defeating Brock Earns you a Boulder Badge and $500. Also you'll be able to use the HM Flash.

Cadi walked up to the Gym after stopping by the Pokemon center to give her pokemon a nice rest. Then after that she rested with them a bit longer and had a few snacks.. Now.. she was ready. "ahhahehehheh well.. At least I hope I'm ready."
Wartortel looked up at her. "tur tel tur tur"
Cadi looked down to Wartortel with a smile. Your right, we've come a really long way.. and I bet we've trained the hardest.. I think it's time.
She let her Pidgey and Pikachu both out and looked at them.
"Hey guys. ready for this? I've done my research here.. and Rock type pokemon are what this gym leader uses.. Water type pokemon or water type moves are weak against Rock types. Splash that means I will try and use just you okay? But Sparkle, Skyler you guys be ready in case we need to call on you!"
Pidgy and Pikachu both jumped up and made happy agreeable noises.
"alright! let's do this then!!"
Cadi had them all get back into their pokeballs and walked into the gym.
after some words with Brock the gym leader he agreed to her challenge!
Brock the Gym Leader sent out lvl 12 Geodude!
"Wartortel I choose you!" Cadi sent out lvl 16 Wartortel!
"Splash use Water Gun!"
+2 (to my roll as ROCK is WEAK against WATER) (--make my roll 14)
Brock the Gym Leader's Geodude Fainted!
Brock the Gym Leader Prepares to send out lvl 14 Onix!
Cadi stays with Wartortel.

Brock the Gym Leader sent out lvl 14 Onix! "Splash use Watergun!" +2 (to my roll as ROCK is WEAK against WATER) - (Makes my roll 10) Brock's lvl 14 Onix Fainted!!
Wartotel won!
Wartortel Grew to lvl 17!! (36/36 )
Cadi & Splash Beat Brock the first Gym Leader and Recieved the Bolder Badge!!!
"Awesome Job Splash!! You made it look so easy!"
Cadi smiled to Brock the gym leader and took her Bolder Badge! Then she and her Wartortel Splash headed out for route 3.

Drake reached Pewter City and looked around. After taking a quick tour, he walked up to the gym steps. Drake knows that Squirtle has a type advantage over the rock types in the Pewter Gym, so though he hates to put so much pressure on Squirtle, he has to rely on his water pokémon.
Drake entered the gym in one quick step and challenged Brock to a battle. Brock accepting the challenge sent out his Geodude (Lv.12).
"Squirtle, use Water Gun!"

OoC: 11+2= 13. Squirtle levels up.
IC: Geodude, hit with the massive jet-like water attack, fainted. Brock returned his pokémon and replaced it with the massive, Onix.
"Squirtle, once more, Water Gun!"

Squirtle immediately knocked out Onix with a Water Gun. After Brock gives Drake the Badge, the 2, pokémon and trainer, left for celebration and bragging.
