Lenore sat quietly in the meadow. It was a dark starry evening, her favorite. She enjoyed the quiet of the night, the lack of namrah to make her feel nervous. It was the time of day where she could just be herself. For a moment she stopped and looked up at the stars, smiling.
"No Raven tonight...No shadow, no demons. Just me." She said.

Annabel danced through the meadow, every now and then glancing up at the pretty stars, and then back down at her feet again just in time to stop herself from losing her balance and tripping. She couldn't help but gaze up at the stars, because they were so sparkly and pretty. It was a warm and peaceful night and Annabel couldn't help but be in a good mood; even though she was usually in a good mood regardless.

She began to recite a poem in the form a song to a tune she had made up in her head. It was a happy cheery tune that didn't particularly fit the mood of the poem.

"It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me."

She bobbed her head happily and skipped around to another part of the poem.
"For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee!"

She stopped suddenly when something pretty and familiar caught her attention. It was Lenore! She had met her once before and she remembered that she liked poems too. Edgar Allan Poe poems at that. She smiled and danced over to her.

"Good evening Lenore!" She then began to sing another poem to another made up tune.
"For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels named Lenore -
Nameless here for evermore!"
She stopped then and grinned at Lenore. She didn't think that perhaps Lenore wanted to be alone. She was just happy to have a friend to talk to.

Lenore was startled by the hello, but smiled at her favorite line of The Raven as Annabel sang it.
G-good evening Annabel," she said, the stuttering a bit of a nervous habit, "What are you doing out so late?"
She recalled when she was littler, how it had never really mattered if she was out at night. No one had taken her in, but she was okay with that. She didn't want to be a bother.

Annabel didn't think of her question as having anything to do with her age or what her mother would say if she knew she was out so late, nor did she think it was odd to be out late.
"It's pretty out! Look, look, lookie at the stars!" She almost sang the words as she said them, pointing her little pink paw up towards the glittering sky. "Pretty, right?"

Lenore let out a little giggle. Between the night, and Annabel's kind and young personality she felt comfortable enough to do so freely.
"Very. It's why I come out here, just to see them." She looked up at the sky and watched the twinkle-twinkle of each star. "I also like the moon," she added, pointing a black paw at the marge silvery circle in the sky.

"Mm, mmhmm!" She sat down and swished her tail happily behind her and stared up at the moon now. "It's pretty too!" She then flopped backwards onto her back and giggled. "I can see more of them laying this way." She pointed up to the sky again, to three stars in particular that made up the belt of Orion. "There's Orion, he's easy to find."

Lenore followed suit and layed on her back, the sky becoming a rather large canvas painted with bright stars. She watched Annabel point to Orion then nodded, trying to find another interesting constellation without much success. She found them hard to find in the mass of black.
"What else do you see?" she asked curiously.

Annabel squinted her eyes and looked around at the bright glittering dots. She still held her paw up in the air, still pointing at Orion. She moved her paw to one star in particular and let out a little giggle.

"That star there is Betelgeuse. It means arm pit of the giant, because that's Orion's armpit." She let out a little fit of giggles and then moved her paw towards Orion's right. "That one there is Taurus. There's a group of stars in Taurus called The Pleiades, or the seven sisters. They're who Orion is hunting."

Anabel loved everything about the stars and constellations and the stories behind them. Or course she didn't know all about them, but she was always learning new things. And sometimes she would even make up stories in her head about them. All the Greek gods and heroes they were named after were really interesting to her too. She was still hoping that maybe someday she'd learn of one named Annabel.

Lenore listened intently to Annabel as she talked about the stars, following her little pink paw at they pointed at the stars and constellations. She'd never really thought about everything Annabel was talking about, with the stars, but she had managed to read a few of Piperit's books on the Greek gods.
"Why is he hunting them?" she asked. She hadn't read about Orion.

Annabel blinked and tried to think of a reason. She really didn't know why Orion was chasing them, just that he was. She didn't like not knowing, but she didn't show it in her answer.
"I don't know," she said, "maybe he wants to marry them or something!" she closed her eyes and giggled at her own comment. However, pursuing them for that reason was the only reason Annabel could think of. Why else would a guy chase after seven girls? Whatever it was she would be sure to read about it next chance she got.

Lenore paused and thought about this. Seven girls. That seemed like an awful lot for one guy to marry...
"Well why can't he just settle for one?" she asked herself aloud. She stopped and put her paws over her mouth, "Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't really mean to ask that...I'm sure he has some reason..."

Annabel just giggled. She wasn't offended or anything by what she had said and Annabel had also wondered why he was chasing all seven of them. Annabel stated her theory of why he had to chase all seven of them. "Maybe he figures if he chases all seven he'll at least be lucky and catch one of them." she giggled again, "but so far the poor hunter has had no luck at all. All these years and he is still chasing them across the sky!"

Lenore wasn't sure whether to giggle or feel sorry for the poor hunter. Chasing girls for years and never succeeding at catching one to marry. Actually, it sounded a bit like a friend of hers.
"Poor guy...maybe someday he'll get lucky though. Everyone deserves someone...at least I think so."

Annabel nodded, taking her gaze away from Orion she looked again to Lenore. "Yeah, I think so too. But maybe Orion is chasing after the wrong girls." She shrugged and then said, "Or maybe you're right, maybe someday he will get lucky! There is always hope! That'd be interesting to see too!" She smiled and then asked, "Do you have anyone, Lenore?"

Lenore nodded as Annabel spoke, stopping abruptly at her last question. That seemed like such a private matter. She blushed, hard, as part of her mind pictured the ever flattering As'ad and gulped. As much as she didn't want to respond to the question, she felt it rude not to...
"Well....there is this one guy...." she said, nervously playing with her paws.
