Alo stepped silently through the grass, stalking his prey. Everything was quiet, it was perfect. He lept, ramming his horn into his prey, cutting it's flesh with his sharp tines. Again and again he pushed his horn into his preys flesh, it's blood rushing quickly to block the wound. When Alo Moki was thoroughly satisfied that his prey was dead he panted happily and sat down. His prey? A tree. His Horn? Sharpened.
Ever since the seasons had changed his horn had been itching, and he left his mark on many trees. He had ventured into a new territory this time, finding himself very pleased with the location, but disappointed in the number of packs. He had almost gotten a spot in a new pack, but they kept mistaking him for prey while they were hunting. He didn't want to join them anyways. A bunch of freaks. Then he had came across another 'pack' of preylike Helix... But lost interest quickly, too much work. Wasn't there a pack he could just.. enjoy? He wasn't very good at being an adult, it was a lot of work. He was almost still a pup himself, on the akward year between pup and adult. Too young to focus on anything, too old to get away with it. He sighed and looked around. Maybe he would find a home here, hopefully there were others around, he couldn't hunt for himself yet.
Alo lifted his head, all four ears flicking in different directions. He had to focus on one set of ears at a time, picking up their sounds before he switched to the other. It was too confusing otherwise. He heard the slight sound of water, birds, a monkey chattering at a snake. Nothing interesting. He thought he heard something move, but passed it off as a stray bird. He sniffed around, looking for food. He had spotted a few 'shrines' around. Humans left food there, normally every day. He had made a living off of stealing from them. Or were they leaving it for him? His thoughts strayed off, eyes glazing over as he thought of the 'complex' problem.
