The day way bright, and rather hot, admittedly. Even for a small klipspringer that could avoid the sun in the higher grassed. This little klippy though, was slightly delusional, close to hysterics, though not threatened. No sharp whistles came from her throat and she was walking dejectly.
The world of Mkimya turned again. She felt horrible, her fawns were leaving and her mate was unfaithful and left shortly after the fawns were weened, taking little Kuyaa with him.
Her sadness quickly turned to anger, and she ground her flat teeth togther as she walked aimlessly though the grasses.

He was lost. So very lost. He'd met up with his older brother but after they parted ways. Well he wasn't very sure of where he was going. Only that his mother lived in this direction.
Would she recognize him with his new horns? Or did she not remember him. Would he recognize HER? He was sure he would. He must. She was his mother!
They'd almost crossed paths once. As she was moving toward whatever way she was going Corbin had passed by where she'd been. At first , the Kilp had no idea he'd just missed his mother, the very soul he was searching for but his little nose twitched.
A sense of familairty rose up in his body until he felt it would exploded. It was stronger then his brother's smell. Stronger then even hearing his voice.
For the first time the little kilp let out a loud sound and rose up, kicking his front two legs and swinging his horns. He took off like a bullet, kicking off with his back legs.
He saw her, walking like the world was on her shoulders. He bleated loudly. "Mother!" That was her. If he had any doubts from her scent they were gone. That was her. "MOTHER!"

Large grey ears seemed to spring up as she heard a voice, unmistakingly a klipsprigner, and unmistakingly one of her missing fawns. Which though, which...? Mkimya's head swiveled frantically in search of her boy, it had to be Corbin.
She hoped it wasn't a hallucination - she had been tricked before in her hysterics. "Corbin!" She spotted the shap and ran towards the shape.

The young male let out another short burst of a bellow as he skidded to a stop. That was her alright. His mother. He felt tears spring to his eyes as he crept closer to her. "Mother... I was so scared I'd never see you again..." He said softly as he lowered his head to nuzzle at her when she came close.
