Admittedly, after their eyes had opened and they had learned to toddle about, albeit quite shakily at first, Takata had taken quite some delight in playing with Mommy's little companion, Tapelo. Her interest was piqued once she discovered when she played a mite too rough, a look of terror creased his face. It was frightfully laughable, but then she lost her interest and merely patted him on the head and turned her attention to other things; a sibling's tail or the prospect of sleeping besides her mother. She had been born in such a large litter that it was inevitable that with her short attention span, she would suddenly pounce on one's tail when she had been in the middle of playing with another.

But now, Takata had grown bored with playing with Tapelo and tried to turn her attention to peering about at things she hoped she hadn't discovered yet. Even though she was small, she had been born long enough to be familiar with the environment around her. The same rocks, the same scenery greeted her when she peered out of their cove. The cub let out a sigh and rested her chin on her paws, pondering over a very very strange and a rather vague dream she had the last night.

User ImageAnother small cub, different in hue yet still bearing the similar marks that related to the one active at the mouth of the den stood back, watching on as the rest of their siblings remained snoozing, for the most part, within. Vibrant orange eyes flashed as she began her stride towards her eldest, and blueish silver stripes reflected well against the captured visible light. A sigh was heard, and a curious head locked on to Takata's contemplative form, and a light smile began playing at the corners of the other daughter's mouth.

"Whacha doin, Takata?" she asked, letting a giggle sound out after her inquiry, "You look soo boring!"

And with Takata's head rested over her arms, it was indeed a strange sight - this was the eldest sibling who first started to test out the fun that existed within the protective eye of their mother; this was the sister who always seemed to never tire from messing around or finding new ways to play. So, to loosen up the atmosphere, she jumped towards the front of Takata, shaking her tail in a winding manner and getting into a pouncing position.

"Let's doo something! Wanna play with Tapelo?"

Instead of a smile creasing her face like it usually did when a sibling initiated play time with her, Takata's face remained in its thoughtful dreamy stance, and it was a while before she took notice of her sister in front of her, Blinking with surprise, she tilted her head upwards to greet Suka with a gentle smile. "Playing with Tapelo is getting boring," She informed her younger sister. "At least, in my opinion, that is."

"Suka," She suddenly asked after a slight pause, "have you ever had...strange dreams? Like, I don't know, it's kinda boring, yet not really, kinda vague so it makes you curious..." She pouted, finding that her vocabulary wasn't enough to help her describe what she wanted to express. "I don't know, really. It was very strange."

Takata's lack of smile was everything but acknowledged, for as the potential excitement rose in Suka's body, her eyes closed with an eager expression in place, oblivious to the unusual change in front of her. Takata had always been for her, one of the more natural leaders at organizing something fun to do, perhaps prank wise, on anyone around who wouldn't suspect it. There would be no reason for her to turn down entertainment from Suka! She was practically the best at seeing things come through whenever planned to do something!

So when Suka heard Takata's statement regarding Tapelo, she gasped, widening her eyes and mouth. Such a ridiculous notion just came from her sister, who was someone she looked forward to laughing with much of their days away!

"Who else would we play with?!" Suka mumbled in confusion; maybe she had discovered something new they could do instead--that could be the only other possible explanation!

Though Takata did nothing to help the puzzled frown that came on Suka's face when she seemed to completely ignore the fun the two could start. Or perhaps she was trying to trick Suka into doing something? Takata was quite sly, so Suka couldn't be sure; but for kicks, Suka decided that she would go along with Takata and took her question into consideration.

"Strange dreams, huh?.." she started slowly, looking up in feigned reflection, "Well, I sometimes dream about stuff that I do to Tapelo or someone else that would be really funny to see happen... But it doesn't happen, I swear!"

A grin came, followed by the sudden impatient words, "You're strange, Takata! What are you talking about? Are you getting boring on me?"

She huffed, emphasizing a dramatic frustration by placing a paw forward strongly, "Who will play with me if you've gotten all boring?"

"I want to find someone else to play with." Takata complained, a pout on her face. "I mean, I do like playing with everyone and Tapelo and all, but the same routine gets terribly old after a while. Unless," At this, she raised up her eyes to stare at Suka, a slight sparkle of interest in her grey orbs, "you had something interesting in mind?" If her sister had such a suggestion, well then, Takata would be delighted to play along!

"Mrnnn." The cub murmured in thought. "I'm not strange. I just thought it was like I was seeing someone else's life. It was terribly vague and hazy though, so I guess it meant nothing at all." She stood up and stretched her back, her tail lazily whipping from side to side. "Let's abandon that thought for now." A usual, Takata's attention liked to stray from one point to another. The contents of her dream seemed too boring to capture her interest for long and for now, Takata focused on her sister in front of her.

"We have three brothers and four other sisters. And Tapelo!" She informed Suka, glancing towards the sleeping pile of the others, then lowered her voice as a thought came to mind. "Why don't we go outside?" Now was a perfect opportunity to explore!

Suka had been vaguely listening to Takata, seeming to be mildly interested in her sister's tail that had begun to move back and forth. Takata wanted to do something else..? What else was there to do--they couldn't outdo their mother, now, could they? However as intriguing as that idea seemed, perhaps, Suka thought, they needed to explore and learn more things, so she would know of the possibilities that stretched beyond the realm of what resided in the family's den.

But as soon as the whispered suggestion came, Suka's ears perked and a smile grew, energy beginning to rush through her at the prospects of adventuring where their mother oft didn't necessarily want them to roam without her or Tapelo.

"Yes!" she whispered back, not even giving Takata time to formalize a plan as she scuttled to the edge of their den's ground.

Bright, orange eyes peered at the horizon, and liked what she saw. It would be bright enough for the two to know where they were, and she was sure they could easily come back to find everyone in the same slumber they had been in before.

"Hmph," she addressed to Takata, though she wasn't looking at whether her sister came in behind her or not, "If I had something interesting to do, I'll play with the less boring and strange sisters."

It was a joke, and Suka felt also inclined to poke fun at the dream Takata was talking about as well.

So she turned back to see whether Takata was positioned, and said, "Hey, that dream or thought or whatever seemed sort of interesting... Tell me more on our way, Takata!"

The cub sighed petulantly as her sister immediately launched herself off once the words came out of her mouth. She quietly padded after Suka, chancing a glance backwards to make sure no one, not their mother or Tapelo had noticed their disappearance. "Hmm." She only said in response to her sister's flippant suggestion of playing with the others, not taking it too seriously. It wasn't as if Suka was darting backwards and making the rest of their siblings awake and follow them.

"They were talking a lot." Takata made a face. Dreams were supposed to be fun, right? Not just making her feel she was looking at someone else's conversation from afar. What was the point of that if she couldn't get a word in? "One of them looked somewhat similar to Jini and me? Only bigger. Her mane was dark red, not blue either."

Not noticing her sister brushing off her speech, Suka practically pranced through her path, sidestepping a pebble here and giving a hole in the ground that showed up every so often a second glance. She was sure Takata was following, and didn't even give a second thought to whether their mother or the hare had noticed their departure. They were small and sly enough to escape their notice, she reasoned. And even if they were caught, they could talk themselves out of it... Perhaps it was self-training to be as sneaky as mother! Yes, that would get them out of trouble - that is, if they weren't sneaky enough to get caught.

As she listened to Takata's vague reply with the description and some imagery from the dream, Suka made her own face to herself.

"How's that interesting?" she asked skeptically, "You dream of everyone talking? Wow, Takata, I never knew you had that much of a boring imagination. Let's fix that."

Suka then sprinted just slightly, up until she got to the closest large rock she could find - big enough for her to jump on to make an impression, but small enough for her tiny little legs to actually complete the jump. She stood in a feigned stiff manner, smiling at Takata, and waved her tail around excitedly.

"I don't know about you, but I have dreams about myself doing fun things. Sometimes I look bigger than I am now, but sometimes I don't... But that's okay. It's just a dream. Once I had a dream about tricking Tapelo into eating a rock that I made look like a bug by rubbing grasses and some sticky goo from berries... Then I actually did it a while later!"

She laughed at her own memory, proud of her clever mind and how she enacted what she dreamt of after she did, and continued, "Some of the things haven't happened yet, though. But some other things happened. I wonder if I would have done them without my dreams... But it's still me doing them in both my dreams and real life anyways!"

"So stop dreaming of dark red haired Jinis, and let's find something to... inspire you!" she ended her impromptu speech with a playful grin.

"I wish I could control my imagination then." Takata said petulantly, blowing out an annoyed sigh as they walked. "I do know that I'm not that boring! Dreams are such strange things." It really did bother her that she was dreaming of such things that she could put her paw on, and though she desired to know what it meant; Suka was right. Harping on it sounded really boring. It wasn't as if she could find someone that looked like a dark red haired Jini. Psssh.

"So that's where you got the idea from." She said with a chuckle. "We've led the same life anyway, so what have you encountered that inspired you that did not inspire... me?" She was interested though. If this could stop her boring dreams and make them more fascinating, Takata was all up for it.

"Mmmmm, mmmhm," Suka began voicing with quick, successive nods at her agreement and confirmation on Takata's words.

Takata was just crazy, perhaps. Despite the same upbringing, of course no one was the exact same in their group! While everyone enjoyed much of the same thing, like harassing Tapelo and nuzzling next to Tukutu when she was recalling an incident during her many thrill-seeking experiences in life - they made quite entertaining bedtime stories - Suka was positive there were different callings for her and her siblings that prompted them to each... pull their trade in a distinctly varied way. It was what made her tricks separate from Takata's tricks, subtle as the differences were. As well, she definitely knew that she was the only one who derived her inspiration from her literal fantasies.

"I'm not going to tell you how to be creative! Look, Takata, you're - I guess - the one born before all of us... You should be leading me, not the other way around!" she chided, "But I'm good."

"Anyways..." Suka drawled out thoughtfully, a grin sliding up her mouth, "Let's go find something to scare everyone when they all wake up or something! It'll be fun; they're probably having boring dreams like yours anyways!"

Takata would have agreed with her sister that each sibling was different despite them being connected by blood; hey, having the same blood didn't necessarily guarantee having the same personality. Besides, that would be terribly boring in a family as large as theirs. If they all had the same thoughts, the same way of going about things, they'd be essentially clones of each other.

Booorrrrinnngg.

"Being the oldest doesn't mean I have leadership qualities. Maybe I do in another area. I certainly don't seem to have them in the having interesting dreams area." Takata pointed out to her younger sister with a flick of her tail, eying a bug who had just settled on a nearby rock. "Maybe we could catch something crawly and dump it on them?" She suggested, watching as the bug scuttled away.

It was a great idea. She was sure her sister would gladly accept. As soon as this was approved, Takata would follow along with whatever Suka came up with and the two would have very, very much fun with their siblings... Ha!

"What!" Suka exclaimed; did Takata just put down her own abilities?

It was nonsense for someone of their upbringing to do that! They were the best, definitely, and could make the world work to their advantage just like their mother! That was what Suka truly believed, and she thought highly of all her siblings along with herself. It was unbelievable for Takata, someone Suka looked to for guidance at times for the level-headed and leading stereotype, to think less of herself.

"Yes it does," Suka insisted, "And yes! You just led us right now! That's great!"

She began jumping on the path around them, peeking through the cracks of the grass and under rocks, claws quickly retracting to pick them up. Suka's enthuse for Takata's plan at an instant was genuine, and she giggled happily while motioning for her sister to hurry.

"None of us has done this yet, huh? I surely haven't had a dream about using these crawling things for fun... They're kind of gross, perfect! Come on, they might wake up soon!"

As soon as she was done digging, Suka pranced towards the den they came from as quietly but swiftly as she could - bugs were all over her, but on purpose; some were dead, some were still alive to have more capacity for the scare effect, and Suka took a delight in all of this.
