Yes, I had the same problem...
I would contantly be buying a new item (usually 5k-90k) a day and yet still wouldn't be satisfied with my new look.
A week or so ago, I needed to keep my avi the same for an RP.
It's growing on me.... ^^;
I used to change it every few minutes when I was online.
I think I have really grown.

Heheh, The first reason I came to Gaia was to change my avi with all the outfits I'd like to have (or I already have).
I found that some items here can be pretty expensive, so I make huge puzzles, kill gnomes on zOMG, comment, and surf all day, everyday, just to get money to buy the items I like biggrin
But I found that some people here can be very interesting =)
