What kind of music do you listen to when you write? In other words:What kind of music helps you concentrate?
I tend to listen to classical or otherwise instrumental music for song/story/poetry writing, though for homework songs with chanting sort of lyrics are okay too. I most often listen to: Bach Mozart Vivaldi Therion's 'Sirius B' Emilie Autumn Inkubus Sukkubus' 'Danse Vampyre' and their version of the Goddess Chant Video game music, like Final Fantasy,Xenogears,Soul Reaver and the opening song from Resident Evil:Outbreak Some movie music, like the Overture from The Phantom of the Opera and Pirates of the Caribbean, and the theme for Resident Evil etc.

Any songs that sort of capture the mood of what's going on.

I listen to a pretty wide range, but I love rock... whether it's classic, heavy metal, alternative, punk, or modern. I wish I could write music like Evanescence, Flyleaf or Paramore. My dream is to find an awesome guy rock band to sing for and collaborate with. I've written a few songs of my own and plan on self-producing them eventually... when I have the right equipment.

Well, when I do happen to write which is VERY rare I listen to about anything.
Strangely, it doesn't influence my writing except to make it more decent. Noise stimulates my mind and makes me more creative. 3nodding
Rock, J-Rock, Solo Piano, some other music that I have no idea about the genre...OH! And Spanish music too. Like MANA, Ricardo Arjona, Jose Luis Perales. heart
