This is m first year away from home living on campus at a university. I live in a suite style dorm: 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, one common area/kitchenette. It is great, sort of.
I have 2 flatmates that live on the other side of the suite, leaving the other room on my side empty. This gives me my own bathroom which they used up until they figured out I am an active naked guy. Problem one solved.
Problem 2 is that they have no hours of operation. They are up until all hours and do not have to wake up till late morning/early afternoon for classes, whereas I have to wake up between 6:45-7:30 depending on the day. Asshats.
Problem 3 is my RA is friggin' useless. I have complained that the guys in the room next to mine (the only room bordering my suite) has it's music too loud in the middle of the night. My room does not even touch the shared wall between the two suites and I can still hear it clearly, door closed and all. I have reported them to the house mother/father/admin and have an appointment to deal with it tomorrow.
Problem 4 is that I am now becoming sick because my dumbass roomies like the temp at 68-69 degrees, I take showers, and just because.
Problem 5 is I hate this whole thing.

Solve to all problems: Have you tried getting transfered to a different room. Nine times out of ten this will solve everything. When the dorm rooms are first assigned the college doesn't take schedules into consideration. Most of the time its because they don't have them yet. Try asking around and see if you can find someone to switch rooms with.
Problem 2: see above. Other than that there is nothing you can do.
Problem 3: Try talking to the guy playing music. Maybe he doesn't realize you can hear it. Believe me, not everyone is inconsiderate. Or getting a petition together. You can't be the only one unhappy about him playing his music. Another option is to buy some ear muffins for when you sleep. THESE WILL BE YOUR LIFE SAVOIRS DURING GAME NIGHTS!
Problem 4: Find your vent and place a towel over or infront of it. This will heat the room up 5 degrees easily. Buy some slippers or socks. NEVER walk around barefoot even in your room. Most of your body heat escapes through your feet and head. Cover those areas up and you'll warm up easily.
Problem 5: Everyone does. Its part of growing up to go through these problems. Just stay calm and talk things out.

P2: Nah, I just needed to vent, they are not all that bad. Most of the time they are out so I do not have to worry about it. They also do not come over to my bathroom anymore when I told them in person that I am naked most of the time. Heh...
P3: Oh he knows. I have now had a conversation with the whole suite and the RA. They know.
P4: I just thought about putting a towel up last night. I have a few lying around and it will hopefully work.
P5: Yeah...
