an RP about Lincoln Academy's Demons and Humans
This RP was originally created by Otulissa and Irishroseh.
However, Irishroseh gave me, Otulissa, permission to re-open this RP by myself, in this guild. She doesn't have the time for RPing right now. sad
Nevertheless, I encourage everyone to join this RP~! biggrin It was a lot of fun we did it long ago, and I hope the fun will be reborn.

.::Introduction and Story::.
Are all things as they seem?
Can you look at someone and read their eyes, and find out who they truly are?
Are all your friends who you believe they are?
And is the world really what you think it is?
You may never know.
The sun may rise and set, day after night, and night after day, but nevertheless, you may never know.
...
But then again, on the other hand, you might know the truth.
Humans are not the only intelligent race who roams the Earth. There have been others living right around us, with us, perhaps even our friends, but they are not humans at all. They are demons.
These demons that share our land in secret have special powers. For one, they live much longer than we do. At fifty years old, they would look and act like but a child. Another special thing about these demons are that they have qualities of a certain animal, and can shapeshift. A cat demon may look like a human, but they can shape-shift into a cat, they love milk, and the stereotypical one would hate getting wet in the rain. A hawk demon would have the power to fly, and shapeshift into a hawk, as well as being able to talk to other hawks. These demons can maintain human form for long periods of time, but they tend to transform at night, or when no one is looking, or at least use their powers regularly...so as to not forget their origins.
At Lincoln Academy, a private boarding high school, the student body is a mix of humans and demons alike. However, all the teachers and staff are demons. So far, ever since the school opened 50 years ago, the secrets of demons have been kept hidden from the humans. The general public does not know this, but the headmaster opened the school in order to accept a mixture of humans and demons, and try to cater to the demons' personal needs.
What will life be like this year at this odd boarding school? Will the hidden secrets slip out? Will there be star-crossed romances? Or perhaps, there will be some sort of mischief?
Only you can decide.
Tales of a Treasure...
There is a legend that at Lincoln Academy of a treasure that is hidden somewhere in the school...or maybe even below the school. The tales of this treasure describe the treasure as "difficult to find, but worth the hardships." The treasure is rumored to be "a vast amount of riches." The riches are supposedly gold and jewels...and money. Some students dismiss the treasure as nothing more than a fairytale-myth, while other students believe that the treasure is real. Out of those who believe the treasure is real, only some of them actually pursue the treasure. There are even some teachers who believe in the tale of the treasure. The only one who knows the real truth is the headmaster. |

Rules
Hey & welcome everyone smile Just a couple of quick rules. Follow the Gaia ToS please, that's a given.
This roleplay should be semi lit, at least. [Please spell check] We're not asking for walls and walls of text, because frankly, while that shows skills, some people may get bored. Post more than four sentences though...unless you have writer's block. It would be great if you could let everyone know if you have the much-dreaded block.
This roleplay should be fairly fast paced, but also long term. Please don't post once and then never come back! BE ACTIVE.
I would love it if you made your posts pretty, but it's not necessary. Post in one colour, put thoughts are in italics, no chatspeak, etc. No *, -, or ~ for actions please! You guys know the deal. wink
No godmodding, no powerplays, and no mary-sues. If you fight, you probably will get injured, you're not invincible. I love creativity, so not everyone can be part fox or cat. Show initative! Use real pictures (real people/photos), not anime, & not everyone is scene/emo/depressed. If you need help finding these photos, just ask. There are many places where you can find good pictures. (The reason we want real photos is to make things more realistic. smile Also, most of my roleplays use anime pictures, so it's nice to mix it up a bit.)
If you want more than two characters, one of them has to be male. Above all though, have fun!
Romance is encouraged, but don't do anything too inappropriate. Follow the ToS~!

Guide to the School
arrow School Layout
The boarding school consists of 4 buildings: 2 dorm buildings, 1 main school building, and 1 extra-curricular building. There is also a school garden, as well as an outdoor cafeteria tent. The indoor cafeteria is in the main school building. The main school building is three stories high, and is the building that is in the front of the school; the parking lot and main road lead to this building. The extra-curricular building is two stories high and has a gym, a swimming pool, and indoor sports courts, on the lower level, and many classrooms for clubs and activities on the upper level. Physical education takes place in the extra-curricular building, but other than that, all classes take place in the main school building.
Events like school dances and parties will take place in the school gym.
arrow Dorms
After your profile is accepted, dorm room numbers will be assigned to you. Two students each share a dorm room, and the two students may not be in the same grade. The rooms are assigned by random, not alphabetically. There are two dorm buildings: one for females, and one for males. The teachers each get their own rooms in the appropriate dorm buildings. The "A" rooms are for students, and the "B" rooms are for teachers.

Ambrosia had woken up at her normal early time of morning, at 5 am sharp, and then got dressed. She donned a black slim-fitting, button-down, three-quarter sleeved blouse and a red-and-black checked pleated mini-skirt. She pulled matching sheer black knee highs onto her feet, and then slipped into comfortable black loafers. She washed her face, and combed her naturally vibrant-red hair. Her long layers framed her face, and her hair color contrasted greatly with her black top. Once she was pleased with her appearance, she decided to head downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. She wore no make-up, but her face was still beautiful. Ambrosia never really liked make-up. Anyhow, she didn't need any.
Downstairs, her mother surprised her by having breakfast all ready. "Why, thank you, Mother!" Ambrosia thanked. "It is kind of you!"
"Oh, no worries, dear," her mother replied.
Sylvia, Ambrosia's little sister, made her way downstairs with a chipper air. "Good morning, Amber!" she trilled.
"Good morning to you as well, Sylvia!" Ambrosia responded with a little smile. She finished her delicious breakfast, which was more like a dessert than anything, and after that, she lugged her already-neatly-packed suitcases out from a closet, and got ready to leave. She pulled an cross-body purse over her head, and the purse sat right at her hip, with the strap going across her back and chest. Her father drove her to Lincoln Academy, which was a 6-hour drive. However, they took a break for lunch at a restaurant, which was about 2 hours. By the time her father dropped her off and bid farewell, Ambrosia was ready to enter the school. This was her second year here, and she smiled. She couldn't wait to start the new school year!
Ambrosia lugged her two bulky suitcases to the school's entry. Once inside, she made her way to the line in the main office, to check in and get her room key and schedule.
Once she got there, she quickly scanned her schedule and glanced at her key. "Room 1A" was engraved in the key. It was a different room than last year, when she was in Room 2B.
She made her way to Room 1A, in the girls' dorm building, walking with a bounce in her step and her head held high. She knew where she was going; she remembered the layout of the school even though she wasn't there over the summer. She was there the year before, after all.
Upon entering her room, she saw no other belongings. So, my roommate is not already here, I suppose, Ambrosia thought. She put her stuff down, so all that she had with her was her purse, and then she exited her room, locking the door behind her and stuffing her key into one of the zippered pockets on the purse.
Ambrosia walked back to the main school building, and found the school cafeteria to be busy and pretty full. She walked swiftly and surely to an empty seat near the far left wall, and sat down at the presently empty table with a flourish. She didn't mind sitting alone, but hoped someone would come by to chat with her. Some classmates she knew from the year before waved a hello to her when they passed by, and some others exchanged some pleasantries with her. But, it was just idle greeting; nothing special. Then soon, Ambrosia was alone at her table once again.
