Well, personally I don't like coloured pencils - but that's really up to you since everyone got their own preferences :3 Many wonderful artists makes stunning pictures with coloured pencils, although I'm not one of them. Mainly because:
1. Scanners are evil
2. You can't 'undo' an action, and without a really good eraser you can't make a highlight after applying colour which means you have to know how you want it to look in detail before even starting.
3. The art may be limited due to the number of pencils you got or your pressure. For me, making shades with the damned things are close to impossible XD
4. Did I mention that scanners are evil?

I'd like to see more shades in it :/ You've got a good thing going in the wings and on the thigh farther away, but otherwise there doesn't seem to be much shading in it. I like how you in some places have used the pen to shade (on previously mentioned led, and on the arm closer to us) so you might get around the tricky pencil shading and get a nice effect by doing the same thing in all shadings?

Sorry, I'm not much for traditional colouring, so I'm afraid I can't be of much help x.x

Shade would be nice but when doing that remember your light source or it might look off

Might I ask where the light source would be in this pic? Like directly over head? depending on the lighting of the hair, I mean.

I'd say above and slightly to our right. I usually jot down a little dot somewhere in the edge of the drawing (far from attention in case can't rub it out later) that I can think of as "spotlight" when I do drawings with lots of shades and highlights. That way you just have to look at your dot and try remembering if it is behind or in front of the object wink

Oh, I don't know if you know this already, but I bet someone don't.
When shading for example an arm, remember to add shade on both sides on the arm, but a little less on the "light side" of the arm. It doesn't usually look that way irl - but the drawing looks less flat that way (irl things don't look flat due to the fact that we see everything from two views - left and right eye - but that doesn't work on drawings)

i think the shading on the wings looked the best! I THINK* i see that you added a bit of yellow in there? I'm not sure. But it'd be cool if you shaded the whole picture in the way you shaded wings

Not bad. 3nodding You've got the basics down pat, and I noticed someone told you to shade a bit more but not how. So I suggest reading this little tutorial Here.

This is abit more like I color, but I developed it from the tutorial above.
Lighter color towards the right all over
Darker color towards the left where the shading should be
Actuel color in circles inbetween the two in circles
Than finally take your light color and color towards the right.

Sorry I rambled a bit there. sweatdrop
