It wasn't a complete waste of a day. The sun had been shining brightly at one point today. And there was even some familiarity of the area that she found herself in. But now it just seemed forlorn and lost, the skies turning gray and giving threatening signs of a storm. Sighing softly she found herself just watching the clouds pass, not even aware of the slow rumble of thunder or anything else for that matter.
"It's not fair...not even in the slightest...how...well I just don't understand...I mean he said...but then again you could never tell..."
She had been ranting like this for months now, however, this was the first time she had done it publicly. Not that she would have noticed even if their was anyone around to stare at her. A few rain drops, falling slightly on her nose she shakes them off and continues to stare at nothing.

The stallion grunted at the weather. Rain. How inappropriate for winter. He quietly meandered through the forest, humming a soft tune. His wings flickered in an attempt to remove the droplets of water. Dichali's effort was in vain, as the paper thin appendages easily gathered water.
His ears flicked at the sound of a voice. Was there somebody else about? He grunted softly in an attempt to make himself known before he discovered the mare. "Why hello, there," he began. "What a crummy winter day, is it not? I'd much prefer the snow, honestly." His odd greeting was accompanied by a small welcoming smile.

Lucinda stood for a moment as if she was staring right through this stallion, she hadn't actually heard him walk up let along hear his full words. Blinking slightly she nodded,
"Yes snow...that is what we are missing today..."
Looking him over slightly and finally lingering longer on his smile, one that seemed to mean he wasn't going to harm her. But still she could never be too sure after all that she has witnessed. However, he was the most company she had recieved in quiet a while, and smiling seemed to be the best course of action. Her odd gems around her eyes and hooves glittered slightly even with out the sun's help.
"Rain...is miserable...I suppose it suits my mood however. Snow is refreshing, and clean...I would think that if there was to be snow on the ground then I would have to start over again..."
She stopped herself before making a complete fool in front of a stranger.
"I'm sorry...my manners seem to escape me. I'm Lucinda...its a pleasure to meet you...even on such a dreary day."

Dichali nodded at the mare. "Yes, rain is a good portrayal of a bad mood, I suppose. In that case, I think that perhaps it suits mine as well." He chuckled and nodded again.
The stallion looked up at the clouds hopefully. "Perhaps, if we wish hard enough, it'sll start snowing? It's a long shot, but you never know, right?" He smiled, a little brighter this time.
"I'm Dichali. And it certainly is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Lucinda."

Giving a full honest smile this time she nodded,
"Yes well we could wish..or perhaps if something lifted our moods we might see the snow instead."
She would have blushed if her fur wasn't as dark as it was when he called her miss. Instead the gems sparkled even more brightly then before, and she giggled softly,
"Dichali...that is a nice name. May I ask why you seem so alive and friend and yet...you feel sad?"
Letting the rain hit her snout again, she wrinkled it, and mused,
"If you are sad perhaps I can help. I am a very good listener after all.."

Dichali thought for a moment. "Well, Miss, I do believe my mood's been lifted already. It couldn't have gotten any worse, honestly. Though I see now that I've much to be thankful for." He nodded.
The stallion chuckled a bit at her comment. "It means, 'talks a lot.' Which I suppose is an accurate description." Nodding again, he tried to answer her question. "Well, Miss Lucinda, I haven't been very fortunate when it comes to the affair of love. It would appear that I fall too easily and am brokenhearted easier yet... I do not believe matters of the heart need to be spoken of."

Giggling at his comment about talks alot, but then getting serious when he made the comment about being broken hearted. How could such a stallion not be lucky in that department. But seeing the pain it brought him she smiled slightly before treading lightly,
"It's a shame that you have been broken in such a way. I know those pains all to well I'm afraid..."
Her gems dimmed slightly as she thought about it but quickly put it out of her mind.
"It is an odd coincidence we have found each other then Dichali. Perhaps destiny has chosen to introduce us so that this miserable weather would life and the winter snow would fall."
She wasn't sure why she was trying to cheer him up, he was a stallion and as far as she was concerned they were all the same...but still he didn't seem to give off any idea of harming her, and he did know what it was like. Even if he was lying it wouldn't have occurred to her to be anything but sympathetic.

The stallion's ears twitched a bit as he listened to the mare speak. "I'm terribly sorry that somebody hurt you, Miss. Nobody deserves that." He nodded, and flicked his tail off the ground.
Dichali thought about Lucinda's words carefully. "Honestly, Miss Lucinda, I don't believe in destiny. Though perhaps something has drawn us together." Nodding again, he fluttered his wings in an attempt to stop the rain from dripping down onto his back. "Though, snow right now would be miserable. I'm afraid my wings would freeze right up and be so heavy I couldn't hold them." The stallion chuckled at the thought. What a silly sight that would be.

Lucinda tilted her head to the side and then back to the other side, he was an interesting stallion to say the least. Smiling slightly her tail flicked,
"Well I'm sure there has been plenty of things that have happened to you that could be seen as destiny...but"
Seeing his reaction to the rain and giggling softly at his comment about the snow she nudged him slightly. It was natural and didn't bother her when she did it but she felt a little shamed after she did. Clearing her throat,
"well...if the rain is bothering you...we...well I know an area just a little ways past the clearing that has some shelter that will keep this rain off your delicate wings."
She smirked slightly the thought of his delicate wings freezing brought a smile to her face.
