The Capitol of Kutou, this city is located in the southern part of the country. It lies near the Shouryuu River, which is the only thing really keeping it going.

As the bright light disappeared, Tatsuko found herself on the ground of a strange place. There were buildings around her, but they looked ancient. Everything looked dry, not at all like the Library she was just in. The young girl had to rub her eyes, to make sure she wasn't dreaming. After a moment, it was apparent that she wasn't. Which, only made her wonder if something worse must have happened. Afterall, this couldn't be real.

Standing, the girl was a little wobbly as she started to walk, trying to figure out where she was. Though, it didn't take long for her to run into someone. A pair of men dressed in, to her, very odd clothing. It seemed like she had walked into a historical recreation set or something, because this just didn't seem right. Apparently, they though the same about her. When she heard them mention she was wearing odd clothing, and then started to come closer while mentioning how much they could get for her money, Tatsuko started running. Oh god... please let this be a dream!

She was beginning to regret their game earlier, as the exertion from running was making her feel faint. Was it too much to hope that adrenaline would keep her going out of the danger? Realizing that if she didn't get away or get help soon, bad things were going to happen, she started to scream at the top of her lungs. "Somebody help me please! Ahhhhh!" She was honestly scared for her life. She felt her foot hit something, and it felt like she was flying for a moment before she crashed against the ground. That small amount of time was all the thugs needed to catch up to her, grabbing her and manhandling her. She was still kicking and screaming for a few moments before she finally fainted.

A man, dressed in silk and obviously not the same ilk as the slave traders, heard the scream as he was going by on his horse. He'd felt the need to go to the poor end of his family lands inside the Capitol, the area they kept the law over. He reached over and touched the symbol shining on his bicep, then sprung off the horse. "May Seiryuu welcome you into Heaven, for you are surely going to find your way there quickly trading girls." He slipped his sword out of the shealth, and batted the first devil away with a sickening thump, only to have his cohort scream and run in the other direction.

Only then he he actually look at the girl the men had been trying to rape. Her strange clothes were torn, and she was no longer decent on the top, some strange under garment was showing through now, so he slipped his sleeveless shirt off his toned body, and moved down to wrap it around her. She was weak, and he didn't know when she'd wake up, but he needed to help the strange lady. His symbol was still blazing on his arm, and he was starting to think there was more then coincidence working here.

Jin lifted her up, the mark of Suboshi glowing brightly when he leaned down a bit, blowing lightly over her mouth and nose, the blue glow of his chi entering her body as she breathed. If he had direct contact, then he could do more good, but he didn't want to scare her either... especially after what had almost happened...

She felt warm. Tatsuko didn't quite know why now, of all times, she felt warm, but she did. Her heart felt like it was beating out of her chest, which she could only attribute to the adrenaline. What was going on? She didn't know. She didn't even know where she was. There seemed to be a breeze blowing, that felt amazing. Her eyelids twitched, slightly, as she struggled to bring herself out of this dream.

She remembered what had happened just moments before, though it felt like hours to her. There were these odd men, and they were chasing her. She shuddered softly, thinking of their hands on her again. Then again, there still was a pair of arms around her. That was enough to cause her eyes to snap open, a look of panic across her face and a soft gasp slipping out of her lips. The person holding her was half nude from what she could tell, though at a glance, she found his shirt covering her. It was an odd behavior for someone who was doing what those monsters had been doing. Glancing over, she saw one of the men dead, and the other fleeing in the distance.

Her eyes drifted back to the man who was currently holding her up. She didn't know what to think about him. With his stance, she would almost say he was trying to kiss her. It seemed like something out of a fairy tale. Though, she wouldn't admit it, he was quite handsome and if he was her Prince Charming, she certainly wouldn't mind him sneaking a few kisses in. Tatsuko still wasn't sure that this was a dream or not. She felt weak, and she still hadn't found any of her friends. "Hibari... Etsuko... Sakura... Keiko... where..." Her eyes started to glaze over, her eyelids drooping as she started to slip into unconciousness again. This was just too much for the girl. Looking directly at Jin, her hand moved up to gently touch his cheek. It felt warm to the touch. "Are... you... real...?" she asked, softly, before the strain of it all took her under again, her hand dropping into her lap.

Jin was glad when the girl started to come around, something about her just told him fragile, like he should treat her like a wounded bird, or a precious flower. "Yes," he said softly, but his voice was still deep and pleasant, and everything about him was regal, even as he sat kneeling in the dirt half naked.

He lifted her up, carrying her toward his huge, and beautiful horse, cradling her against his chest. "I don't know about whom you speak, but from your clothes, it seems you are from another world. My name is Suboshi, and I will protect you with my life." With the way he was now holding her, she could see the dragon tattoo that snaked up his arm, the mouth of the dragon open and looking like it was going to devour the mark on his bicep. He used that arm to pull them both up and onto the horse, managing the feat gracefully, even with the stress he was under. She really was light, he almost felt like his sword weighted more then her. He could still feel where her cold fingers touched his cheek, and he was worried for her health.

"I can help, if you will permit me. I have a gift, but I'm afraid I must touch my lips to yours, for you to get the most benefit..." His long hair was tied back into a ponytail, and he seemed to be right around the same age as she was, even if his speech and physical prowess made him seem much older. He settled her onto the horse so she'd be comfortable, then let his hand move up to the side of her face, gently touching her cheek to gauge her health. Her fingers were cold, but her cheek was too warm. "Please," he nearly whispered, "I am worried for you... priestess."

Her mind was swimming, as she drifted in and out of consciousness. This was quite strange to her. Normally, the fainting spells would keep her out cold for a bit, rather than this flipping too and fro like a leaf caught in a wave. Because of the flitting feeling, and the general loss of feeling in her limbs, Tatsuko couldn't really focus. Her friends were missing, that much was certain. She had no idea what had happened to them. She would have to go hunt them down later. She didn't even know where she was, though this person holding her seemed rather kind.

Her head lolled to the side, as she could barely keep the weight of it up in such a state. This was, by far, the worst fainting spell she had ever had, and also the most peculiar. It was as though her body wanted to faint, but something wasn't letting it. Her eyes wandered, and caught a glimpse of the blue dragon tattoo on the man's arm. This had all started because of that blasted Blue Dragon. Really, there were times she wondered if the thing didn't stalk her. The name, Suboshi, caught her off guard. She recognized it from somewhere, but for the life of her, she didn't know exactly. She didn't hear, exactly, how this gift he managed to have would be administered, but help was always good in this situation. "Help..." was all she managed to whisper out, her eyes flickering.

The handsome boy smiled a bit at her plea, and moved her a bit so she was higher, and tighter, in his embrace. His other hand stayed on her cheek, and he tilted her head a bit, using his thumb to very gently part her lips. He leaned down again, touching his lips to hers.

It wasn't anything really like a kiss, and he blew into her mouth, the warmth of his chi entered her body, strengthening her constitution with his own life force. It did look like they were kissing though, so he was lucky that there weren't people around to witness it. He wasn't embarrassed, but the one other time he'd used it on a girl... well he'd gotten slapped for it. It was pretty hard too, since her strength had been enhanced by his power.

For all Tatsuko knew, she was having a very lucid dream. Particularly when the young man brushed his lips up against hers. That startled her a bit. It was very light, and it made her stomach feel funny. She didn't know if it was because of the kiss or because of the very odd tingle that was coming from it. With each breath, there was an odd warmth that was filling her. She found she wasn't flitting inbetween unconciousness and awake anymore, the odd sensation growing as the tingle continued.

After a moment, she was completely awake, and felt rather good. She didn't know what the young man had done, but this gift of his was a good one. Though, she was still a bit weak, for a different reason. The adrenaline had left her, and she was still rather disoriented about everything. "Thank you," she said softly, pulling back a little. Her cheeks were bright red from the small encounter. Glancing about, she took a quick survey of what had just happened. It had all been so quick, she still wasn't too sure. She remembered the men grabbing her, and after a quick check under the borrowed robe showed her shirt in tatters. The man, or one of them atleast, was laying dead. A sense of panic overcame her. Did they... ? She started to shake at the thought of it.

Jin placed his hands on her shoulders, to steady her on the horse, and looked down at her, with a calm, even expression. "They didn't do anything but rip your shirt... and I would have killed the other for touching a young woman against her consent, but I was too worried about you to go after him. I don't think he'll pursue you though... not with me protecting you." He gave her a small smile, then moved one of his hand to tilt her face up.

"I'll take you to my estate, my father is a Lord in the country, and we're staying here at the capital for now. We have many rooms, and I can get a doctor if you think you may need one. You look better then you did, but you still are a bit flushed..." His ability was such a normal part of him, that he sometime forgot that doing that to a girl would make her blush.
PostPosted: Thu Sep 17, 2009 2:17 am

The young woman didn't know if she should believe him or not, but given the options and how she felt, denial sounded a lot better than coming to terms with a rape. Tatsuko was already having to deal with being in a strange place and not knowing why, and the attack too. She wasn't going to mention the bit of embarrassment of being held rather tightly against a very handsome young man who also took her first psuedo kiss. Today was just shaping up to be a very interesting day. She clutched the shirt closer to herself, hiding herself in it. While she didn't want her mind to go there, he smelled really nice. Like sandalwood incense, which was a scent that usually helped her relax.

When her head was tilted up, she looked up at him. He was genuinely worried about her. She had never met him before today, and yet he was protecting her so fiercely. Nodding, she moved herself to rest against his chest, trying not to blush again, though failing miserably. Tatsuko's eyes darted to his tattoo again. That damn blue dragon... the more she thought about it, the more one thing popped into her mind. Seiryuu. They had been studying Ancient China in class, and she remembered Seiryuu was considered a god. There was even a quadrant in the sky devoted to stars that were considered his stars. Wasn't Suboshi...? She knew she had heard the name before. "Suboshi... that's the name of one of the Seiryuu constellations, isn't it?" Her voice was little more than a whisper. If it was, like she thought, then why was he named after a constellation?

Jin smiled a bit, "yes, that is right. You know for Seiryuu?" He was a bit surprised, since he was sure she wasn't from here. "I was born under the stars of Seiryuu, he protects this land. I was blessed with powers to protect the Priestess, and to protect this land." He moved his arm a bit so she could see the mark, and right before her eyes, it disappeared, leaving just the blue dragon tattoo.

"You should rest... um you haven't told me your name yet..." He snapped the reigns a bit, to go just a little faster. He couldn't push it, since it would be dangerous for both of them, but he knew it had to be uncomfortable and awkward to be pressed against a strange man so intimately... it was a bit... uncomfortable... for him as well.
PostPosted: Thu Sep 17, 2009 5:51 pm

"We were studying him in class," Tatsuko said, softly, a hand moving to rub her head. This was all too weird, and the thought that this was a dream was becoming more prevalent. There was just no way this could be true. It was all too coincidental. One minute, she is in the Library, getting books for said class, and the next she's talking with someone who is named after one of the stars in the Seiryuu sky. If it wasn't a dream, then there was something in that book. She glanced down at his arm, a bit shocked to see the mark disappear. That was an interesting trick, to say the least. Closing her eyes, she tried to think of everything that she knew about Seiryuu. If this was a dream, like she thought, it had to be based in things she already knew. While she had a decent imagination, this was just too much even for her. "This land... would be Kutou, right? I don't remember anything about a Priestess or anything about powers. It wasn't in any of the books." She was doing little more than talking to herself outloud, and wasn't really expecting an answer.

Glancing up at him, she nodded. "Sorry, my mind is elsewhere. My name is Tatsuko Yamazaki. Thank you for saving me." She pulled away a bit, sitting on her own without leaning against him. She was imposing, and she knew it. If she wasn't so damn woozy, she wouldn't even be on the horse. "I'm sorry for imposing like this," she said, softly. If his father was a Lord, that meant he was pretty important himself. Once she was on her feet again, it would be best to leave. He probably had more important things to worry about than a lost girl. Besides, she still needed to find her friends, provided they were here. That was, of course, if this wasn't a dream. If it was, she might as well take a better look around in either case.

Suboshi pushed the reigns into one hand, and let the other fall onto her shoulder. "Tatsuko, that's a very pretty name. You are no imposition, you are very important. I'm sure you heard then, if you know the tail. A girl from another world will come, and the celestial warriors are to protect her until she can summon the Beast God, and have him grant her wishes. I promise, as a warrior," he leaned forward a bit and his voice dropping, "and I promise, as a man, to keep you safe. I don't know about books, but this is Kutou, and I think you are supposed to be here."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 17, 2009 7:01 pm

This was all so overwhelming. Though, as he told her the shortened version of the legend, parts of it began to ring true. The stories Mr. Yuuki told us... they mentioned a Priestess. It's so similar. But how would he know them? From what she remembered about the stories, which seemed more like folk tales to her than actual events, the Priestesses had already come. She admitted that part of her had wanted to be in the old legend. It hadn't been the first time she had heard it, as an old grade school friend had a grandmother who knew them as well. Was this really what she was supposed to do? Was she supposed to be here, or was it all an illusion made up by an exhausted mind? Tatsuko had been studying quite hard recently. "I've heard the legend before, now that I think about it," she said, her hand still rubbing her temple, "but didn't the Priestess already come? Why would they be summoned again?"

She gave him a small smile at his promise of protection. If this wasn't just a delusion, and she really was here, she was going to need all the help she could get. She had already run afoul of some of the people here, and she highly doubted she would last too long on her own. She wasn't much of a fighter, despite friends trying to help with that. She chuckled a little, still in shock over everything. This was just twisted. "In all the books I had read, all the tales I had heard, everything I had found out about Kutou intruiged me. And now, I'm here, and I don't even know if this is a dream or not. I had been in the Library in Tokyo with my friends, and there was this strange book. Hari-chan started reading it, and then there was this blue light... and then I was here."

Jin let out a little sigh, his breath was warm, then cool, and it tingled, probably from his power. "We're not peaceful anymore I guess," he whispered softly, "We've been born, the warriors of the Beast Gods, I've heard whispers, through out the land, that I am not the only one... we need you Tatsuko. I've felt the emptiness, since my mark came to me when I was little, an ache that hasn't been soothed until now. You're my priestess, in my heart I know this, but you have to feel it too."

He stopped the horse, and moved a bit, so she could see him, "but you don't have to worry, you are beloved, by the gods, by our people... and by me. You will be safe and happy here, until we can gather the warriors, and then you will be our savior."
