Okay, does anybody here hate it when someone else is messing up BADLY on a playing test, and you feel bad for them? I always feel HORRIBLE when this happens. I really want them to do well, and I know that if it was me, I'd run out crying. But for some strange, annoying reason it makes me laugh. I find NOTHING about it funny, and me having to hold back laughter makes me feel like a horrible person. I find nothing about it funny, and I really want to punch the people who are laughing, but then I find that I have to hold it back myself. Anyone know whats wrong? Am I a horrible person or has this happened to you too?

It's a subconscious reaction. It used to happen to me too. I held back laughter on something that generally wasn't funny. However when people started to laugh I got upset and wanted them to stop, however their laughing wanted me to laugh. It's all in your head.

We don't do our playing tests live, mainly for that reason. We record it on a tape recorder.
Even when we did ours live, that was back in middle school when everyone sucked. As for my section, I always did the best, so I didn't care much how others did. It may sound conceited and horrible, but it's the truth mrgreen

Its good to know I'm not alone... and that I'm not mean. And @ the other post. I usually get the best mark too, which makes me feel even worse for laughing. (Also not to sound conceited)

I know this sounds really mean, but I have no pity for those people because those idiots should have practiced more if they were unprepared.

That has never happened to me because the kids in my band class know me really well, so no hard feelings when I burst out laughing at them. mrgreen
